His Instrument

Welcome to worship and the word was passed. We recently started a series called living in his presence where Pastor Robert talks about how we can tune into and live in God's presence every single while today's messages about the biblical history and importance of musical instruments and worship what's joint customer on a one-year term.

Due to passage of Scripture Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28.

This way you may wonder around going to be a little different, but the part of the message is is instruments is instruments and I want to talk about instruments not just us as instruments, but musical instruments and I don't know if you've ever thought about how much of a part music plays in our culture and in our society and around the world and how much of a part music is in our worship services and worship the God and so don't talk about instruments, I will take you back in the give a little bit of history biblical history about instruments arrived. So here's my 53 questions for you. Here's the first question why did Satan fall. Most believers know that Satan is an angel anybody as a fallen angel and he fell from heaven and 1/3 of the angels fell with them. But why did he fall in one word. If you were to say one word why why did he fall.

Now you might use the word pride and that's a good word but actually I believe that the one word to describe why Satan fell is worship.

I want to show to you in Scripture in Isaiah chapter 14 beginning in verse 12 how you are fallen from heaven Lucifer, son of the morning how you are cut down to the ground, you who weekend the nation now before we go. Let me just say you're going to see what we theologians would call the five I wills of Satan thing the five things that he said in his heart that caused him to fall from heaven. All of these though have to do. I want you to watch it what it will act probably just blow your way. All of them have to do with being lifted up or exalted, which would be worship we praise the one who is the most high. All of these have filled worshipful Lodge tell me these words have to do with being lifted up or exalted are high or above right so verse 13 for you.

You have said in your heart, I will ascend let's go up I want to go up higher into heaven. Remember he was already in heaven. They wanted to go higher in the heaven, I will exalt. They wanted to be worship. He wanted to be God. They wanted to be like God you wanted people to draw attention to him.

He wanted people to honor him as you probably heard theologians say your pastor say we are all born with an Adamic nature, Adamic means like Adam a nature like Adams, I don't want to disappoint you. We were born with an Adamic nature, but if you only go a bit farther.

Adam was not the original center. Satan was again. I know this because you and come to church to hear this but you were actually born with a satanic nature.

Not great for the bathroom. They lack. We were born with a nature that wanted to be lifted up only to be wanted me exalted where only people look at us when people talk about us when people complement us that that's that's our old nature. You're looking at me like the metal no okay I'll prove it to you since you asked one simple question is the first person you look for in a group picture and if you don't look good. The whole paper that only that picture that's a bad picture that's a bad picture. Satan always wants to turn the conversation to himself as you're alive. Jesus always turn the conversation to his father or the Holy Spirit. Always they said to Jesus, when we love the miracles that you doing things that I don't do anything less. Try to get Jesus to see if you don't think you won't worship a drug-induced worship by what you notice how you phrased it, if you will fall down and worship me. Listen to me carefully. Worship is always expressed always seated her Savior. Worship me is that if you will fall down. The reason worship is always expresses because worship is love and love is always expressed yet express your love. The reason I'm saying this is because there are many people that will come to church to not express their worship man, and they say things like this one just on the expressive person, but Sunday night when the cowboys come own and some big guy carries a pig across the chalk line and you start going down the you're not expressive I just say one more time man your kids are watching when you come to church. They need to say that a real man expresses his love to see that. So why did say you probably fell because he wanted be worship is number two rated instruments well want you know that Sadie did not create instruments but God created instruments, show you something shocking right there in Isaiah 14 we started at verse 12. A moment ago. This is talking to Lucifer, no doubt about it. Look at verse 11. Before the fall, the dog walked full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. And here's how you know for sure it's all not Lucifer. Verse 13 you were in ED the garden of God that just so you know, biblically, historically speaking, or stasis. The king of Tyre lived 3400 years after David in the garden of God you were in Eden, the garden got entire was not in need.

That is exactly what Satan did say it was the worship leader in heaven before the fall and the worse it was supposed to pass through his hands to the rightful owner, and he reached out and took some of it and when he did, it was a cosmic violation, and immediately he was kicked out of heaven because God is the only one working to be worship and the reason I say he was the worship leaders because he was created with instruments. Remember I said there are three archangels Gabriel Michael and Lucifer.

There are three pillars on which the church is built. The word prayer and worship every time we come together as a congregation were going up at worship and pray I have the word right, we have a quite time that worship you should pray you should read the work when you look at lease three archangels, will you look at Michael. Every time you see Michael in Scripture he's answering prayer Daniel.

Chapter 10 EA comes to answer the prayer of Daniel help the prayer get through his answering prayer. So Michael rules over prayer.

They were all over the world. Now listen here we have in Isaiah 14 streams and here Ezekiel 28 it says the workmanship of your percussion instruments and your wind instruments were created were prepared for you on the day you were created I don't know if you ever thought about this but you have all three of those instruments in you and most of the three classifications. All instruments fall into one of those precast classifications falling from all instruments are there either three percussion I win all interest and when we divide between brass and read but it still win JetBlue through it like it like a cell but all instruments, all of them either have strings. Are there percussion are there when and you work forget Satan was great with all three of those instruments.

In him you thought Isaiah 1428. I'm very good at that. God said, let's take care of these three things. First of all, let there be light and the first thing he did was he dispersed to dispel the darkness. He said, let there be light and he said let's play some form of a light day in a light at night. Let's put some stars in the sky. Let's have some land and some CNE begin to bring form to the earth. Then he said let's fill this emptiness any great plants in mountains and trees and flowers, many creative living creatures and birds that same and animals and created all the brought fullness to the emptiness he took care of the darkness. He took care of the chaos and he took care of the infants.

There was one thing missing and I think it went something like this.

I think Lucifer said to me how you got all this is to give you praise official to give you honor and glory is going to be your worship leader now God reached down, grabbed a handful of dirt squeeze that blue planet and said that his money worship leader and furthermore Satan that is going to crush your head, only one problem. Satan showed up to the me worship leaders who also had instruments and and said the exact same thing that caused the fall, is that you can be like God and what he said in Isaiah 14.
