What happened before the creation of the world? Why would the word for "Hand" and "Axle" be the same in Biblical Hebrew?? What a wonderful thing to ponder as the word, hand is used in so many passages, especially the hands of, Jesus. A bit of a deeper dive into the letter/pictures for me is spectacular. The first letter in hand or axle is the letter Hebrew yud ' and the name of that letter is in fact this word,(amazing right). Yes, each letter in Hebrew has a name and this letter the smallest of all letters is yud. This picture is just a dot as shown above, the mark made when the pen touches the paper, the little that means a lot, the big bang and the first letter in God's name and Jesus name. The idea being that for an infinite God to make a finite world He would have to contract himself, yes, the letter yud….. BANG! The second letter, (words are right to left in Hebrew) is a dalet ד – the bent over servant, the door of humility. Be it a hand or an axle both serve the power. Thus we are called the hands of Jesus… yielding completely to the transfer of power without taking the glory. The wheels on the bus go round and round – they spin on an axle but the destination is The Kingdom of God. Without the power from God/the engine and the traction of the wheels/The Purposes of God. Apart from God and His purposes we the hands/axle can do nothing…
