Often times, especially outside the modern-day Christian tend to put a little less emphasis on study and reading the word. Would you agree will absolutely Roy, you know, because I know people who born-again believers and they say well this is how I study the Bible I just can't take the Bible put it on it's in let it fall open an NS where I begin the study where I would not recommend that approach because it is a reason why say it is because we put time in planning trips to where we want to go right we we take time and planning will we eat where we want to go to eat, you know, going to go to bed have time to get up weekly plant. We plan all of that when we plan our day. Basically, so again I most important thing. Why can't we plan when it comes to the approach of the word God, why can't we. That's it well and you know what is procrastination. It's lack of intensity. I think it's the alien covered by the blood so you really don't need to worry about study part with her tomorrow. Absolutely and all of them really can't hold a grain of sand when it comes to when the enemy attempts to bring fiery dark stairway you know how many of those individuals can really stand when the enemy comes with fiery darts and he will come in half, and he will continue to come. That's right until you depart this life. So without proper preparation without proper guard then you can be more susceptible to injury if you will, and that would be spiritual injury or even physical injury because we know that things can happen is results not being obedient to God and if you certainly are paying attention something could go wrong so it still could go wrong much better prepared right absolutely deal with the storms when they do arrive, you always got have always Roy got to have the word of God in your heart.

It has to be in their name and if we we ever want to be warriors for Christ and attempt to send the enemy fling you know we always have have the word of God in our that's why. That's why James 47 says, resist the devil and he will flee.

That's a promise. If you resist him, he will flee, but you have to resist them with the thing that will make them flee, and I store God as what Jesus did and spoke the word Jesus would often say, as it is written, it was always going back to what was already written right and it was for the sake of man.

You may succeed on some things, but utterly what's going to happen is God's will start chastening and if you don't listen or understand when that chastening is happening and is going to happen a little bit harder and we only wondering Lord to seem like I'm putting all this time and effort into you, and yet I'm getting nowhere to see that's that's God saying there's something there that you need to go back and do what first John 19 says you know you need to go ahead and confess and repent of this thing, because this is what's holding you back from the blessing you so will it comes to my we think about the absence of the word of God in the believer's life, and then we also think about it. In the absence of the marketplace in our schools. Your will is at 6263.

That took care of the schools took the Bible just since it pulled all that out said no more right and so look at all the trends and I think what's happened, even in this respect is our probably our hunger for the world. Word has probably fall that same trail right that same curve that we taken it out of the schools kids are now impacted and guided by a lack of moral guidance. No spiritual goddesses in schools now sudden if the children aren't asking about it at home. What happens parents are focused on the children benefits are, goes away, and the conversation what was to be stimulated at school is now no longer part of the family conversation from school back home and all the trends were seen the crimes the going rate murders. The all the various things lack of morality is to skyrocket in the last 60 years because you have children, they want to be included in I did so when when you exclude them and I remember as a boy growing up there some things that went on in the household and and my mother would say you kids get outside now you know those grown folks talking and had gone outside and play. You know, and I was thinking about some of the times may be to where we miss because they were be having prayer meeting in there and then they will say what you kids.

You don't understand was going on anyway but I look at that time and I said how much of that could have cultivated me, you know that growing up and asked not to say I didn't get it elsewhere but I'm just talking about the times where I didn't get it right, you know, and where those were just missed opportunities.

But then I think about the children who didn't have in the household at all and all right and seeing what what becomes their model is other kids the street and TV that becomes their model so they look and see what they see on TV. They see what other kids I don't know I'm stuff They're doing their age. You know or did they listen to other kids parents and see what they're doing and then all of a sudden you know they're taking this deep dive off the edge of a cliff because that them is normal. We talk about the of the time to put in. How often should you read. So the first thing that Dr. Hayes tells his RC need to get the habit of reading daily and likely talk to just a few moments ago needs to be qualitative or quantitative. He actually suggests will and you can test this but 15 minutes a day of actual reading time. Then you take a few more minutes to do some of the other components which will talk about that actually 15 minutes a day.

And that's what narrative does so when when people go to the word of God they can understand, especially if you use a modern translation of the Bible and you can see how God worked in the lives of the apostles Peter and Paul, Barnabas and all those guys during the time and and during the time of Paul's missionary journeys. Will you but you make a good point there about whatever translation using but the what translation should a listener, well I think it depends on the listener, but there are some translations that I would would not recommend an just for reasons because they are basically commentaries. They're not direct translations of the of the Bible. So I would stay away from like the message Bible or like the living Bible is another point because these these Bibles are basically commentaries and you getting those commentaries from a person's perspective so versus the workforce translation such as like the King James new King James. The new American Standard version and the revised standard version. These are mostly word for word translated well and then see her once he would recommend folks in life applications.
