Repentance, is it Important?

You've got to have you got to be free of weeds to go to be free of fungus to go to be free of all that sword in our world could almost think of the repentance is the preventive measure in the step has to be taken in order produce good fruit exactly that's a daily process because not none of us go through a day without I've had a bad thought. They didn't want to forget them big. He had repented and and God had to bless to apostle Paul to write the second letter and include in there that his sorrow would be so heavy on him because he repented that no one would forgive him. So just imagine how how you feel you are part of a congregation you fell into sin. People heard about your sin and they know who you are and so you know you you you went out from among the church because they didn't want you part of the church until you repented you repented, but now they don't have you back or they look at you differently when you know the course of course we talked about that and off the fear and something maybe you on occasion in our program, the church, the body of Christ is the worst as it relates to the way they treat those of the fallen short. It really is amazing because the whole essence of what our walk is about is based on forgiveness run and love is not not not justification or justice but love and forgiveness, exactly as if if God were dishing out justice based on our behavior versus the forgiveness and grace. There would be no people on the planet to know people on the planet. Anyway, it's going to taste like closing was yesterday.

God has a solution regularly and the word calls us to return to him. Repentance is the decision to change your mind in order to reverse your direction to move from that which takes you and me away from God to that which will draws back in close proximity to him. Draw near him to me and I will draw near unto you the Scripture tells us God is waiting for your return. My return all return and on whatever level the repentance occurs is that level that God is willing to see changes in our circumstances that we desperately need and long.

I love that because it see if the unseen things is the things we cannot see him in the supernatural world that when eventually when we start thinking about these things, they become manifested in the physical natural world and we talk about that quite often will if we will step in the natural, which makes the conscious decision to repent and God will come along supernatural take care of things rely on things work, a circumstance that change your situation for your all behind-the-scenes know what's going on and see that's that's the beauty I think of of repentance because what what repentance does is it keeps an eye like this it keeps things from from not happening to you that were going to happen to you if you would have continued in your non-repentant state oh that's so powerful you know because when we when we start focusing on God and things that we we will never know about me as you as you went through growing up through your life. There are things that did not happen to you that God was working behind the scenes and they never happen to you and you never knew it had a grandmother praying for your mother praying for your father praying for the you had no idea it was praying to keep you covered. So draw near to him and he will do what draw near to you. And he said in first John chapter 2 verse 15 don't love the world don't do the things that are in the world. He said if anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him seat so so we can't say we love God but yet were still acting and thinking like the world thinks.

Some translators will think if you love the world you hate the father is basically what what you're saying right.

It will go where you you is just like Jesus said, you can't love God and money.

You know Mammon so you want to love one you love the other going to cling to one or you want to despise the other.

So that that yes, that works together in the sense of repentance as well. So if we think about if you listen today and then we want to talk about repentance in your well what about them a lot that they haven't haven't written for and I think this is one thing will I don't know if you ever do this, but there's times I will go back my mind that something is happened, or something that may went wrong or something so social repent for even for the could recall if I've asked for forgiveness. What specifically when it comes to mind.

I I read immediately turned back over to the father and asked for forgiveness and the and I know the scissors force from the east is from the west, but if you come to mind if that will need to clear my mind a father but also if I didn't ask for forgiveness. The truck couldn't stop.

It was sliding sliding sliding and it it it just when I looked in the in the rearview mirror, I kid you not. Roy, when I looked in the rearview mirror it look like the hand of God just push that truck to the side and all of a sudden I mean it was 18 inches a foot away from me and all of a sudden it just veered off to the right man it just veered off to the right and into the the center lane and when I saw that I just immediately I just lowered my head because I was standing still. I could move you know as far as traffic wise and I just stood there, prayed and think God. We know it.

Others may have been killed as well. So see these are just two examples that I'm sure our listeners out there have several exam as to how God spared you in certain situations where you have seen the hand of God, and I think when we see things like this happen Roy in our life when we experience an eminent horse. It doesn't mean that you have to experience everything because I like should be built off of faith right but those things that God bless you to experience. We need to see God in it, and those get and know it's him notes him and give him thanks for whatever it is he took you a hand.

Because there certain things we have to go through in order to sharpen our faith in.

We talk about this a lot as well. Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear God. Notice, fear God, first depart from evil. Fear God, depart from evil. So if you if you're fearing God, you're focusing on him, you are acknowledging him for who he is and not what you want him to be right.

But in the desiccated who he is not who you want him to exactly exactly. And that's why we need to come with a humble heart and accept him for who he is and he is the Almighty King of Kings and Lord of lords, the everlasting Father, Prince of peace.
