This is the Truth Network welcome to mannitol Rocky by TA W. CM is talking and walking Christian men's ministry were there devoted to breaking down the walls of race, age peers are host will Hardy and Roy Jones Junior, a black guy sounds like side I you are you saying they are because I need to be black, back to back with me more Joe's like my coming clicking play sterile outside we we thank you all for two new men talk radio and last week we were talking about a very sensitive subject and I think it's a subject that it's all in the mind of a lot of people, but it's a subject I think that's more as we close last week's show talking about opinions.

You know, rather than the truth. So we we get all the social media influx of ideals, ideologies and things like this that's porn out and it makes us after we read this it makes us react and respond. I think sometimes if we if we let it too much of it into ran we let it sometimes affect us negatively where I agree with that will impact the mind has the brain can rationalize anything if you can't see downloading garbage events, you start to believe the garbage restart allow that influence exec, which is totally agree and also when we ended last week show Roy, we want to now come back and say what should this father hath done, and an endless look at this. I guess from from the well from the Christian standpoint, what should have taken place here. Yeah, you're my take on Idi Amin's father. Guess since the kid was just jogging. They really should done just like we mentioned last week show in my mind's eye. What if I had done this I would say you if it been my sense of what it would look like this there's a potential. This is somebody that might be of interest to the break-ins was called 911. Get the police out here and then let's just go from see if they're going and any homes. That's if that's what the father felt led to do when we talk before you and I guess none of us know how you react to the situation to you. There, the practical side and then of course the father should. I don't know was that faith was, but then of course what we've always taught that Jesus did nothing before he went to the father write something that would be the obvious thing and followed you regarding some wisdom in this matter. Do I need to be engaged here would been the ideal starting point, but I don't know this man's life. I don't know if he's fallen? Good for us, for you that would be where we would start in a course were talking about the situation that happened on February 23 down in Brunswick Georgia where two men it may have been three-man United but two men in the video. One man who was the younger man, I saw signs on he was he was confronted this jogger and you know a series of shots were fired at this jogger cell in due course we we break the story from the Associated Press last week.

So this week, you know, we're talking about, as born-again believers that even though some of us who are listening right now think that this was an absolute atrocity you know in in in a mile since I will take you to Philippians chapter 3 verse number 12, it says not that I have already attained this is this is the apostle Paul being inspired by the Holy Spirit to write unto the church at Philippi M already perceive but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ has also laid hold of me brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to the things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. And in you know Roy a few weeks ago when we were talking about, you know, forgetting, and forgiving right you know in that it's it's much easier to forgive than it is to forget exactly because because it's like how how can you forget something after you already heard him see we use the example on last week about the attorney if he knows that he's going to get an objection on the statement that he's about to make in reference to all he want to do is plant that see he wants to plant that seed into the jurors mind and then course, the judge says strike the last statement.

Well, how can you strike something from your mind after you already heard that the best thing here so it's it's putting these things in your mind of what people are writing, we have to forget those things because again they could have a negative effect on so you say what. Maybe this officer. Former officer and experienced led him to this reaction. In this matter. So he Dutton was not looking for. You still looking exactly.

That's what I thought you had with this so you know it's funny. Bring that up will because I guess it was under twos this week during our devotions. Dr. Slater my heart about long vision. In short, this short vision be in the things that are that are temporal that we experience in our in our earthly walk, long vision be in eternal matters and that the it was just amazing profound thought that he put on my heart so this is a classic example of this man is the senior exit hey I need to be. And again, we don't know is that in his walk in his walk with? Let me say if if a person's in situ think about is this decision going affect long vision. My turn was his decision to something in the short vision temporal.

If you are – in the fall of us were to do.

We would react so differently.

Oh absolutely, you know, because we we talked about this too. I'm reflecting back on some lessons that we had our breakfast and how if we asked ourselves simple questions that we don't in and we and we answer them truthfully.

According to the word of God and so that's that that's the key.

Truthfully, with ourselves, then we don't have to venture into that realm where the enemy will take us by the mind and attempt to put things in mind that we shouldn't even enter in, but you know and and. For example, if we asked ourselves if what I'm about to think or if what I'm about to do. Is this something that will glorify God. Is this something God would want me to do right and in my life, would he want me to inherit the stock and then act upon it. Is this something that heat you know he will bless the litmus test answers, no you don't do it absolutely embrace the thought if you answered yes, then you pray about and continue to move forward or if you know what the word of God states in reference to the Matterhorn or did not exactly exactly. And in the second question, I think we need to ask is, does what I'm about to do conflict with the word of God and in the course we have to know what the word of God says in order to know if it's a conflict, you know. Second Timothy 215.

We always talk about the Scripture study to show thyself approved. So if you are studying to show yourself approved on the God in you the spirit of God will quicken you because the word of God is in you right and and in the word of God is in you any quicken you and then here comes this thought is coming is coming is going is trying to get in here and then all of a sudden the word of God puts the defenses up and says no this this is what you about to enter into your mind is not in their rejected project at thing of all that it's worth goodwill Legos back to long vision piece eternal matters. That's a great way to put it to really shared. Is this something glorify God who dissents to build the kingdom. Is this a long vision opportunity versus a short trouble.

Short vision temporal opportunity exactly and and more issue that that's right. I trust you because you know with with with the born-again believers. I think we should always be looking for opportunities in unit with this with this account.

There was a lot of things that when there was no description is kindhearted but in all that you do work or do you do it as though doing for the Lord Jesus Christ and so that's exactly what you're saying here.

Everything we did were to glorify and work is if we were doing it for the father the son himself in the Holy Spirit then what would it be different, absolutely.

And that's a litmus test is what would you do something different absolutely. There suggesting what you're about. There's probably not what you should be doing exactly so and if we can get to that point. So let's talk about some of the practical piece is will if I'm in you can speak to this because I was too drunk and start to show. If I were a black person in today's environment and how to sing this year. What is that, due to a black man that seemed this summer.

Talk to me from a black man's perspective how this impacted you when you saw did you feel like it was only shot only because it was what what you know I think having a lot of history that goes back to these things about forgetting you know you it is hard to forget how are people have been persecuted. You know in in time get away and again we can look at. We can look at how you know the Asians were were brought over here and use to help build the railroad you know how the Indians Native American ice in a world were persecuted and then the Israelites were persecuted in the next so you know there's a lot of persecution that have gone on so I think when looking at it from my perspective and I think looking at it from most black man's perspective, I'm speaking predominantly to those we may see this occur, you know they think about this a racial profiling right or this is this is a thing that's another. Another thing that has just come up against the black community and black men, in particular, you know you as a sense of racial injustice right and we know the root of all this right back with the enemy, Satan's guidance from a foothold in his greatness, distress, and in the community. So let's not forget that folks really took great but we will come back and talk more. The practical side of black men today's time you and what was it will should be worried about that. Got a come together to talk about absolutely and so will be back after this break your CM and would love to have you join their community of men for breakfast every first and third Friday of every month and Bible discussions and fellowship.

After the breakfast in town meeting location is at their voracious poster First Christian Church in 1130 N. Main St. encouraged him a hard start at 7 o'clock on March 1 time visitors eat for free.

Join your hose will a black guy in a white guy affordable chiropractic in High Point.

As you might tell from their name affordable even for the cash. Patient Dr. Jeff Ricky has been caring for patients in High Point for 34 years, physical therapy, such as ultrasound and spinal decompression for disc conditions such as herniation Comprehensive Care for auto accident injury patients with no out-of-pocket expense.

Remember, affordable chiropractic on the West Lexington High Point 336-885-1987 break we were talking about black men and white men.

What does it look like and how does it work. What should it look like and so we got a come together this were things that were this programming. This ministry is all about you. There's a good enough divide most of our lifetimes.

Last generations beyond. If you if you're listening to the show. You're not the solution you not helping to break it down and become solution were asking you to become a part of. Because these are the very things that these incidents like in Georgia so happy to see with the NAACP, said look Heather had a mixed audience behind them. We need still be unified.

You do have a show of unity together that will come through this is your one person who can't judge one person, one behavior and that's an stereotype all white people. These two white people made a mistake and what they did in and from what were able to see very rational behavior at the time so nor could you, should we judge black men by that same standard. He made mistakes. Therefore, all black men should be treated in a certain way or the stereotype like we were just talking about or allegedly made a mistake allegedly monastic yet executive within this case, this young man's case, there is no evidence that small humans like him somewhere in the overall that all you know this potential sum is made a mistake yet in this young man's case, there was no merchandise owning he was out little look to be out for little you jog and very productive young man's had gotten streams pursuing electricians think is a secondary option in the nothing at all to indicate this was a problem child.

So you know. But when you when you state, and again when people see this it it drives this wedge.

I think between the races. And you know it doesn't stop.

I think at just an incident, but again you know the mind says, look what has happened in history and annexed it is just that that I think you alluded to that light for the break and this was try to get to his think in forgive me willfully try to reach on the other hand, I think what you were trying to say is yes, that you thought in your heart and felt that because of the history that he was shot because white men are stored pursued because his Blackman had been white men jog to the neighborhood. Probably not.

This would've never happened because he white men wouldn't fit the profile. That quote could have been told who it was break in the homes which is interesting to have a profile but there's not many pictures up of the supposed person it was breaking in. So you think some are security cameras or something was picking up suet whomever that was right yeah and I didn't tell you how many homes were broken into the van and what was taken and things like that so you know, again, it it there's more questions than answers.

There are, but when to know when we wrapping this thing that we want to talk about love seat is that's that's what Jesus Christ's.

He he was. That's what he wants. He was the embodiment of love coming down from the father to mankind.

And so again in first John chapter 4, beginning with verse seven it says beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

So if you are if you are born again believer, you going to do things out of love and not out of suspicion. I suspect I mean you can you and I can walk out here just what walk out here right now and start exiting the door and some of those two guys look suspicion. Well what what does suspicion look like that you know is is it because you have a white man who has no hair and you have a black man who has gray hair. You know exactly you know what what what does suspicion look like you look suspicious, but what is that really right. Well everything you only know what you been talking to goes back to the hardware will call hardware that's what you've been trained up you been raised in an and unless you make a conscious effort to break that you're always going to have that first thought is whether or not Jack Clement are where you go down the path like you to receive that thought through all put on the armor so don't not taken this in father chores exactly yeah and it and I think the love, peace we we lose sight of that and you hope during and I think there's been an exorbitant amount of love, some for people through this journey you folks delivering food families, children going to see school teachers on drop bars and blow the horn say we love you and those Things I think that you love to talk about us were praying for revival across our world, and specifically in our nation for us through this journey that God can wake up people's hearts and guzzles it look enough of this nonsense enough get onto the long vision start looking about eternal matters and that's my love for you and you should be loving me and and then you should be bringing people home try because again verse eight and first John chapter 4 he who does not love does not know God, that's pretty straightforward so if you if God has shown love to you and you don't know how to show that love back to people then you don't know God is what God is saying here in his word he said. He said because God is love. And in verse nine. In this the love of God was manifested, so now he's gone tell us how was it manifested toward us that God sent his son only begotten son into the world that we might live through him because we were all dead right.

We were all dead and despair. On our way to eternal damnation.

And so he came as a result of bringing us back to the father to see it when you when you talked about you know the horns being blown and you know he actually that the fire department and the police in our local community lasts Thursday or not.

Last Wednesday they drove through the neighborhood.

Had the sirens going people came out with the pans and the spoons and you know they were they were banging the pans and spoons together. As a result of showing their appreciation for these first responders well I mean I was moved by I mean it was they had already past but I want to run and get my pan and run out there with school you know and bang, but I'm hoping as you stated, I'm hoping that this is not a temporary thing you know, and that after a while things kinda go back to the way that were, and then we start being long faced it again and we're where going. You know how did I get myself in this situation again and we we lose all the momentum that we should be gaining in this time we together, will I think one of the keys to that is in these do the others instead of self you maintain that mindset mentality. It's always about the others. The document I need to take some quiet time yourself.

You need to have those moments of meditation and fellowship and worship the Lord but I think if if we as individuals will make the other person.

More important, just like Italian marriage, like the other person more important yourself in these be all about them and less about you.you is right will do that with our neighbors love on her neighbors yet. I think I would like to check translational neighbor.

That's everybody that you can see that's with a nice shot of every to everyone that you concedes not just the person next door as we as we think of neighboring farmer translation correctly it's it's as far as I can see so it's everywhere that you consider anyone that you can see should be loving now and and love love is the essence of who God is and down in verse 13 of the same chapter we reading from he says. By this we know that we abide in him and he in us because he has given us his Spirit sold through through God giving us his spirit as we opened up our heart onto him and and received him as our Lord and Savior now.

We should let the spirit control our thinking control our actions be that filter of what comes in and goes out that require surrender. It does require surrendering that dying to self back to dying self, take up your cross, God himself and follow Christ. So if you surrender that will happen or can happen if you don't surrender then that will never happen. That's right, it's, it's that it's a total giving of one satellite and total and not not half-and-half, so when we get up in the morning. That's what we should be thinking about God. It I'm giving my life over to you and at my expense. In other words, whatever you have to do to let you be manifested through me then do it. God I'm I'm going to surrender myself at at whatever it is that I want to do but what you would have me to do because I wants not necessarily have to be you know given to satisfy direct that's right but but it's what we need. See get the need for field and then let God take care of the rest. A man, a man we know as we get close to wrapping this thing up ago but 30 seconds or will it just manager listen to this program and will and ladies is so important. Have fellowship in the know right now. Hopefully this is start hunger in your heart about loving on each other and also to get back in the body fellowship.

I think this time out from the body of Christ in terms of not being the physical church hopefully has is just really create hunger like no other for you folks so we want you to be other fellowship that her sons were able to do that in clear community people.
