Enjoy it, share it, but most of all, thank you for listening and for choosing The Truth Podcast Network this is Truth Network welcome to mannitol and brought you by T8 W CM is talking and walking Christian men's ministry where they are devoted to breaking down the walls of race and accommodation challenging and to take their God assigned as our host will Hardy and Roy Jones Junior, a black guy and a white welcome once again and talk radio will Hardy Roy Jones Junior and Roy today we are going to be talking about people who falling away from the faith and and you know the thing about this particular topic is that the way Satan presents things to people. It's never obvious, very subtle, yet here he just don't come and say hey you know I want to deceive you.

Today I'm going to use your child to do it. I'm going to use your spouse to do it. He doesn't come this way, the way he comes he comes so subtly and he comes in a way that presents him as helping you write and setting up the stage for the fall right so these different steps. It's actually the fall is coming at the end of may look all fine and good luck is like a big reward on the front side of but there's something bad on the other. In this process and say that's how doctrines doctrines are the same way see so they take the word of God and the word of God is not presented in the sense of the way it was intended it to be so what they do is they mixed their doctrine with the word of God. And when you listen to it and there's several religions and or denominations that are out there.

I'm not going to name him not to put anybody on the spot, but you probably know who most of them will have the phone lines of bandwidth television's response was exactly an end in the way that they come it's so that there's so inviting. And I recall this one young man he had approached this one young man from a different denomination and he was asking some questions and the things that he was saying to him wasn't lined up with Scripture, but after a while he was almost convinced that what this individual was telling him was true. We know will.

That's a big problem right now.

Write this we could take this conversation spanning across everything on social media, it would have to be talk about why people are walking away from the church of the watering down the gospel's move into this conversation. That's the problem today society they take something they don't verify. It's okay to trust what you hear but you need to verify we sing that so many time time times again right that people have listen to something that taken off and ran with it and never did the due diligence to verify that the factual and I think another thing that they attempt to do is use logic or don't yeah yeah I don't use logic yes I will you give me an example right here because because sometimes logic that's the way the enemy plays on his feel right. You know he he comes in there and it's it sounds good, because it's logical writing is easy to rationalize if it sounds good when you can convince yourself of just about anything in human mind has the power right and that's what's so important to do it every day like we talked about many times the meetings exactly Romans 12 to yes a macro new wing of them. So it's a continuous and continuous a herd for we did something but but we we want to talk about this article.

This is article that you brought to our attention from the Christian Post and it talks about people who believe and really follow after an understanding within themselves, because they been deceived, that there's other ways to make it to heaven. There's other ways other than going through Jesus Christ's to go to heaven and they don't really talk about salvation. They talk about heaven right which means they most likely don't talk about the consequences of not making it there either. Which means they probably don't understand the process know what the process is in order to be safe, right. So in this particular article it talks about it says that 60% where as part of the ongoing release of the Arizona Christian University-based cultural research center exploring perceptions of sin and salvation from George Barna and he's a he's a noted Christian statistician if you will, the groups directors show that nearly 2/3 of Americans believe that having some kind of faith is more important than the particular faith with which someone aligns so this is saying that the followers of Christ I Buddhism and Hinduism all the different things all the different face of the world.

Their same in two thirds as long as you got something you're okay exactly see that that in and of itself.

I think it will include say that they have some notion that there is a life beyond the life that their living that I could say that right right but again it's the way in which you get there right seat. I think that they're confused because when you talking about you talking about Hinduism and Buddhism and Taoism Taoism. All these other isms that are out there and people are embracing them because of this inclusiveness. You know you including everybody right it is almost like universalism, you know, everybody's going to heaven. All you gotta do is just be a good person and so that's that's basically what some of this article says so he goes on to say 68% who embrace that notion.

The notion that some faith is better than none at all. Identifies Christians, including 56% of self-described evangelicals and 62% of those who identify as Pentecostals 70, 67% of mainline Protestants and 77% of Catholics also embrace that ideal.

The findings show.

So then you have to ask yourself the question, do they really believe the word of God in the and if so are they taking the word of God as the word of God is not as we talked about earlier mixing mixing things up in it and not creating their own theology exactly and their own doctrine, which say you know this is this is the way that I I accept and I believe you believe the way you want to brighten. So this this relativism if you will believe that what's good for you may not be good for me but what's good for you. Might be good enough to get you there and was good for me. Might be good enough to get me there. And that's not the case at all and would this is very obvious that we were seeing the church instead of being in the world and not of the world church becoming part of the world that's correct because with the numbers you mentioned in the folks that should be typically Christ followers of adopted this theology if you will, or this mindset or belief that the something is better than nothing and yet I think also they are people who have changed in the way that they think in reference to theology and the Scripture, and by their state, they have changed and in there's a there's a number of people who I can mention that I'm not going to mention who of famous people who started out Bible believing church.

Following sound doctrinal teaching people and now it's their believing in all of this mind over matter, right and and things like this and I think once a born-again believer get themselves caught up in this type of atmosphere and this type of doctrine. This is what begins to pull them in right in there what's causing that right. We need to talk about the elements there contributes to, so we talked about this before. This right here means got more direction of people's lives them for the most part just us because there's been eight or nine hours a day looking at this thing playing on talking on Facebook and check to see what George demonstrates joint George would not talk about your personal checks which were tapestries doing instead of spending time here because this is this is the vehicle for closeness, intimacy, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, all those things and and knowing what to do in the worst of times and in the good of the best right so for not studying this than everything else is going to start taking precedent source, the trash in trash out concert right before being inundated by all the world's mindsets and beliefs, and systems through media Facebook all these different vehicles spend no time in the word what's going to be the natural consequence. Well, the natural consequences we going to depend on what we know and what we know is is about as bad sometimes because because what we're looking forward looking for comfort when looking for an out right right you know, so it is like if I'm in pain. I want relief act and I don't care how I get relief. I just any relief on the relief now so this desperation move if you will, is when people start reaching out to all of these other doctrines in these other believes that the enemy is coming in to deceived them right to say that there is more than one way to get to heaven where we noted no growth comes without pain right and those of support sportsmen service anything you know that you are at your best when you going to the season of pain. As you know the other side. You will be that much stronger for so if you're looking for an immediate answer immediate solution with no no pain is also no pain, no gain. There's so much truth and God sees us to process a grossest through some of his most difficult times. X-ray pain and suffering is part of the Christian life. Well who suffer the most. A man, but heres Jesus Christ and the burden of all the world, all the sins of the world on his back on that day when he was crucified. So, the pain, however, see there's two types to physical well and emotional.

I'm referring to like righteousness verges on real you know so so if I'm going through pain as a result of something that I have done outside of the will of God.

Now I'm bringing undue and unnecessary pain on myself which is not going to be credited as being persecution for righteousness right right so disobedience equals consequently obedience equals rewards exactly and see we have to be able to differentiate between the two. So the article goes on and I know we're coming up on break here, but the article goes on to say that slightly half over half of the Christian respondent said that they believe someone here is now listen folks, someone cannot attain salvation by being or doing good, Roy. Well we talked about right because with this Horgan about works is to heaven but work is important for retrofits of being good doesn't do it for even the best of people are good enough.

Christ told us that there is no one. It was sinless except him and he had to be crucified. All the men, a man will be right back to the small TA WC MM would love to have you join their community of men for breakfast every first and third Friday of every month, Bible discussions and fellowship after the best breakfast in town meeting location is at their voracious poster First Christian Church in common is 1130 N. Remember, affordable chiropractic on the W. Lexington Ave. in High Point Hall 336-885-1987. Welcome back to man talk radio and Roy being or doing good now. Over half of the Christian respondent's believe that someone can attain salvation so earlier we were talking about getting to heaven so this 50% or half of the respondents is basically saying that if I do good or if I'd be good. I can attain salvation. That way, thereby I can enter heaven. But, as you so cordially stated, inherently, we are good we were born into this world centers that we are in, there's only one way to achieve salvation we know is with mixed use it in a bar so we can put it right here now that we have to acknowledge that Jesus Christ died for persons recognize Wilson's acknowledgment sums acknowledge that he died for our sins and rose on the third day and sits on the right hand of the father. If we start following him and accept him and recognize that that's the only way to eternity is only for salvation. It works doesn't do it been a good person because we all know plenty good people don't believe in God or that they don't believe in Christ or they don't believe in some other higher being in there and there were moral, morally good barely get into it. We had Jane a few weeks ago in 6/10 couples experiencing infidelity.

I would even question how many people really morally good and yet I mean just if you really want to get down to it, with the pornography addiction with the gaming addiction. Could you let's take one half families were taught many times have you really are morally good and who doesn't lie. He doesn't like to the family or coworkers or friends so I would challenge that will great great great point, but I would challenge you really are morally good that are following Christ in CNS that's again. That's a deception, yet not all Christ followers are morally good either. We know that that's right even know nobody's perfect. We all fall short, but is a conscious decision to do those things versus a mistake and fallen short right yes because going back to what we what we talked about when we had Jane on is that I had stated that there are meant more men who are unbelievers who basically lie about the position when they come in for counseling so and and and I typically don't don't counsel like if both man and woman are unsay one have to be born again right so so if they say that they don't know Christ in that. That's something for like again yet again to Posada exactly executor, you're not going to build relate to them world because they have no basis for your your exact coaching exact so you will in Matthew seven. Talk about true false prophets in 715 reading from the NIV version were talk about only about the different theologies. Watch out for false prophets that come to in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves disliked Satan does and uses these folks by their fruit you will recognize them.

Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles.

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Good tree cannot bear bad fruit in a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize folks through wills point earlier where you see what is real is it just is just lip service is, or is it really food nutrition as well as talk rockabilly so we talked about last week.

Your actions are speaking so loud I can hear what you're saying. What is the fruit production with your fruit been produced, folks you need to challenge and the fruit that you are producing what quality of fruit is that it is just like an owner uses natural example, if I go to the fruit stand. I'm going to look at an Apple without a blemish.

I'm going to pick the orange that doesn't have any tears or breaks or anything like that in the scheme so we're going to inspect that fruit before we buy and see the same way is with fellowship before you get into deep fellowship with someone you need to inspect a lot of things that they're talking about you, go absolutely because some the things that they they may be teaching, preaching, and dictating to you is in fact deceptive practices that they have inherited or are things that they have heard that they have adopted and now they're begin to carry these things over you know into their lives.

In the course now they're passing them on to other people in so you know, am I really understanding the truth or not. So you have to have that spirit of discernment in order to have that spirit of discernment. You must be born again which puts the Holy Spirit in your soul within you want your born-again a man so as I've seen you by fruit but was very selective, fruit bar, and you know this avuncular lesson.

The tribe was never thought about.

I forget what it is but go along with it what it was all legal folks is that that's right that's right that's right. We went smuggling anything you okay so we go into this and it says in the In addition to the viewpoint that eternal salvation can be earned listening to this earned survey results show that 58% of Americans believe that no absolute moral truth exist by that very statement. You're saying that the word of God does not exist, you're saying that the word of God does not use or is not real, that that's right because he is the he is the author.

He is the author and he is the absolute truth right so you can't lie Tent. There's no evil come from him. So it has to be the absolute X and if a person different person believe that evil exists in the world than inherently they have to believe that there is good that exist in the world and we know from Scripture that which is our basis of which we walked that Christ's is the only one who is good right was so to say there's no absolute moral truth. The meat then you say Adam and Eve really admired the from the forbidden tree right from the bridge that really shouldn't matter if there was no absolute truth because they were perfect for fellowship like Passover fellowship with God knew no sin but when they broke the law when they broke the rule got to get do not eat from this one tree. It all came crashing down so they had absolute moral truth. Don't do this, you have you have a sin free life perfect fellowship and you broke it now. Now we all don't have it because it started back absolutely ill and so when a person talks about that truth doesn't exist. See that's how you actually break down and you do away with the Bible better cc so so if you can.

If you can prove some you know logical reasoning or some type of doctrine that someone has come up with if you could bring down the fact that there is no moral truth and there is no absolute truth in the word of God, then the whole Bible come crashing down. So now that opens up the gateway for pivotal belts well for people to just to just say I'll come up come up with. My truth is you come up with you and it was good for you is good for you and what's good for me is good for me right a man so let's look at what it continuously says here and that the basis of truth, are factors or sources other than God will that goes back to self rationalization right.

If I do something wrong.

I can rationalize in my mind for whatever reason Iran will do it.

It's okay to do so.

This goes back in thing took on earlier so the. The reason there's there's this opinion that there's no absolute moral truth. I would, I would offer it to you and submit that I believe is because those folks that have taken the survey have got some underlying issues that they're trying to rationalize, whether it be the things we talked about infidelity, pornography, alcoholism, all those different things that are sinning against the will of God. I would submit to you that that's why that that is what it is and and you know a lot of individuals who take this particular survey. If there with people and they really don't want them to hear their answer. They're not going to tell the interview or survey.

Or they're not going to tell them the answer they really want to tell if you know what I mean always. Also what they do is they say well you know I got Jamie and Mike here with me and so all of a sudden now this guy comes up to me and he starts saying you're throwing a microphone in my face asking me just these particular questions about Christianity. You know how are my answers are going to look in front of Jamie and Mike, exactly, you know, so they'll just say something and is like you guys agree you don't like your description about that if you deny me before men of the night before before. That's exactly what it says is exactly what say is that it to be in denial, you know that there isn't any absolute truth I think is a decision is being deceived, in and of itself. So let's let's continue. So factors are sources other than God so 77% said that right and wrong is determine by factors other than the Bible, line 77% 77 so okay what the terms if it's not if if we go back say in our world walk in our world, which is the right walk that we know this is the truth so 77. Some peoples say that right or wrong is determined by something other than the Bible. That's right. So again it goes back to whatever they say is true for his truth to them that I go back to say there's an underlying issue that is rationalizing that the concept in that mindset and that theory is right because you know you grew up most people's parents.

There is right and wrong. Well, he is right and wrong right well yeah what you know when when came murdered Abel a there wasn't any written law right at that time and and and God told him if you do what you are about to do sin is crouching at your door and so to say that you, you are going to start to venture now into this area that is very dangerous for you. Even though the law was written down at the time, so the law still resided in the mind of God.

You know, and it had been written down because it had been given to Moses at Mount Sinai. So what God said you are about to see. And so, what was God basically appealing to Cain for he was appealing to him was conscience. It was appealing to his country, but he didn't listen know know what happened there, folks next week Joyce Gilbert to this conversation. We thank you so much for the apartment talk radio broadcast.
