Kingdom pursuits where you hear from ordinary people instilled with an extraordinary passion together we explore the stories of men and women who take what they love and let God turn their passion into the kingdom pursuits now live from the truth.

Your host Robbie Gilmore. We have a treat. You know I was listing to my own intro the word passion is in there a couple times as we now hear how God takes your passion and uses it to build again what we have with his first off Brett Yunker with passion, music, and they have a concert passion passions worship night is actually coming.

My daughters Debbie going bonkers over it at the instance that it's coming here on October 17 next week at 7 AM at Raleigh first assembly welcome Brett I am so honored that you would come on and share. You have no idea the effect well, you probably have some idea but my daughter is like you guys. His biggest fan. She she goes on a sheet she's gone. She went last you guys had your thing in Atlanta. I think it was in January right here and then you've got another one coming up and she she was like on the list. She said I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life. So you might my daughter, 19 and to think that you guys are affecting the youth of our country for Christ like that is just huge subbrand. Brett tell us what you what you do with passion. I wanted to work, leader and songwriter Dr. and I yeah like your daughter. I would like to call in mid 2000 I went to conference making worship leader, David Crowder like that when I got the passion message that really changed my life cheated.

Everything in my life matter how black would be the lead. Everything that I am in all my life. All of my gift don't like 14 and making myself available but I did not gain glory in the world and begin to transform that I made later on passion for the church formed almost 10 years ago and it had a lot of shifting DNA movement with all the college I've been up in the passion for a long long and helped out way yeah I did.

I love being a part of God helping people really e.g. and how to invite a great so you can see we we're loaded for bear today because we not only have Brent. We have also in this Curtis Bowers and Curtis is a filmmaker and author and your form is former Congressman my right Curtis, I would state representative in Idaho how awesome you know I was born. Curtis I was born in Pocatello, which a lot of may not know is in Idaho but I know it is there.

So you know I don't get to speak to a fellow potato head very often, but it's great to have you on and you've made this film and and I understand you have a book coming out you have a couple books to go with that is that is wonderful so tell us a minute about what about your I know that it kinda rocked the world your book your your your film actually is what I saw most agenda grinding America down and I was a representative at 100 country. It was just concern the general direction we've been heading my entire life and and so is Scott, and that eventually this difficult time researching to make a film and because I just wanted to wake the specifically Christians up to what is going on are a countrywide thing going on today would be more engaged in standing up for the things we should be standing up for and not let our country discontinuing this downward slide is interesting as I did. I looked up a little bit. I guess you could say I stopped you because I didn't get a lot of information with you, but you have a blog that's called the wheels on the bus travel fairly over the country and saying it will show the film speak on family issues. Clearly we travel quite a bit of so I know that neither Curtis nor Brennan ever heard my show probably before, but those who are listening know that you, have a riddle.

So, speaking of wheels right Curtis is a blog is called the wheels on the bus well. I betting thinking that those wheels and start a revolution to say. In fact, someone who talks about light wheels like that they could be a smoke right right Jasper, that's a spokesperson, fiver, and as the Christian paradigm. You might I've always said in a leather steering wheels or real turn on. If you think about just you know and I used to balance and rotate cars and tires of the Door. I really did, but I felt like I was just spinning my wheels so I decided to retire just a little bit, which leads to our actual riddle that I know you've been dying that I would get through my plans could get to it. So I really like my real today and if you can answer this riddle at 866-34-TRUTH 87884 that minute what you win, but there comes a riddle which profit at the beginning of his e-book in the Bible which profit at the beginning of his e-book in the Bible made a really big deal out of wheels. I would even call him a whaler dealer 866-34-TRUTH 87884 if you know the answer which profit that is and it's also a book in the Bible and if they can do that. Jasper, when the when a book from the kingdom pursuits price well there you go. All you have to do is tell us which e-book in the Bible really big deal out of wheels you would even call the prophet a wheeler dealer 866-34-TRUTH 878847 to call him and win 86634 truths are Curtis.

I did not know that you also saying so it's gotta be kinda cool, but that worship is what you guys do. Talk and so your audience is that often young people as well. Make sure that churches or even groups I get invited to conservative groups that my name be Christian. They're interested what happened to our country.

Christian songs there as well, and patriotic fund.

We get to a wide variety of people, which is you know you guys are in your own ways for the poster children for kingdom pursuits.

How does that take your passion. Obviously Curtis he gave your passion for politics and for understanding what's inside Abaddon with that your messenger for the whole body of Christ, and Brent wow.

I know as a parent we all are so excited about what passion is doing for the young people of this country because you guys are getting literally thousands and thousands how many did you have last January, 35,000 gathered. Arena in Atlanta. Arena energy and will you people and I we just planted a church location at Easter will be doing that again this year been using the you don't even have to go all the way to Atlanta to hear these guys becoming Winston-Salem this Thursday night over 17 Winston-Salem first 7 PM as I got that common today that my anniversary mother) remind myself. We got some regulars on the line to help us out.

We got so much more. Curtis and Brett come in upstate passion and uses it to build the kingdom were so blessed today to have with the spirit younger with crash with passion music in their worship night is coming to Winston-Salem first on October 17, 7 PM when an opportunity that all young people in your town. They are getting it blessed it's it's a life changing thing this dispatch, I can tell you from personal expense of my own daughter, and we have with this Curtis Bowers, who is a filmmaker and author. Former Congressman excuse me former representative in Idaho and he has some really cool stuff that he's come a shares as well as finding out about his faith.

But first we have Steve is in Greensboro and Steve, do you know which e-book in the Bible. The really big deal out of wheels is Ezekiel you are exactly right.

Steve your man after my own heart is used it because revolution with those wheels there's no doubt about it. So I I couldn't agree with you more.

And there's another thing about those wheels like I really studied him once conceived to so fascinated me how they describe the color and all and all, but the way they interacted and I tried to draw myself a picture so I get to see for myself what they were and I realize that the color of them has to do with this lake in Spain and if you get the color that Lake and you kind of look at it and then you go. Wait a minute I seen that color before and you might remember that when I think the guy who wrote the book on evolution. Darwin they said about Darwin that whenever he saw peacock's tail and drove him crazy because he could not figure out how evolution could create. And if you look at the color of a peacock tail when you look at the color of easy kill wheels you'll find it, but you think about what's all over cocktail. I mean, a peacock's tail, his eyes right and Ezekiel's wheels had eyes on them and so if you actually take two peacock tales gives a bear like 1/2 circle. When you put them together you can get a vision a little bit of what I think I like to I like to just and that cool that's really awesome. Thank you for calling and Steve God bless you. Appreciate you call so much horror rights web getting back to Brett in on with passion.

Brett I know everybody's interested how how old were you when you started to find out about Jesus and you said that when you went to this. It kinda had an impact. Can you take us back into that moment where Jesus really got a hold of you out there they met when they were middle school.

They all told me my number being 500 DirecTV and bring me to a play date for a five-year-old.

I believe that the moment that I really rendered my life achievement, but I grew up middle school got it off on you getting one moment like that. I simple deep understanding of how beautiful the great God yet but passion was one of the moment called the gospel a lot of times you got three and without God loves me God died for me, but there's more to the story and ultimately God died for me. I needed came directly so that I could bring glory, and she died on the cot, to the glory of God the father and on the really beautiful thing that the cause and even my salvation, but you can amplify the goodness of God, the love of God you people got my and so I take it you probably already liked music when you're in college that impact your music sure love my book very shortly but I'm very sure that really what I love the teenager asked to be a Christian and fill in our band will be there next week we play music in high school and and I think it is always the place where I a you in the area and opening and goblet. You just use whatever you put in my regards to try to you later. There are church the people around her teenager walking in critical that is so awesome Curtis and I'm curious in your case, you know, obviously you have this passion for politics when God started to awaken that weren't where did you see him and that Claudio is very interesting. A lot of really good family. Nice person, fairly father read the Bible and things like that and I think I got favorite young person but I had a lot of people drifted through high school and college and I 32 married children is when I completely surrendered and gave my life to what I said I will do anything you actually do it starkly over the years would Jesus make it clear that I will do anything and consents that he done so many different things, though, making a good idea. I have left at that time.

Years later and dictate elbows get out of that kind of politics. I didn't have an interest in or to be involved with it, but I knew one thing to get good people in there to stand up for what's right, but calling me to do that in just a miracle got me in there and after that convicted me to make a film ever made a film and I like to think about it the least studied film, homeschool project and we made the film in it just took off all over the country and invited everyone to speak to return to play around when I gave my life to the Lord like what you want what I want.

He just started having me do also show different things that I've never done before, but he help me any blast on the news you need to eat and likely being steady just showed how you wanted to use me to glorify him when I've been doing her what I wanted to do better when he thickly did I need you.

I wasn't very effective at doing awesome how when he asked you to do something you like. I any any puts you in a position where I can navigate your way through that you can have to spend a great deal of time, deepening your relationship with directly in order to navigate it and so that film, you know, I can tell you it's all over the place and it really tell us about it and what's what's a little bit about it. It shows the purposeful nature of decline within America.

How Christianity is downplayed and the families are falling apart, went back and 1884 and read books of different peoples and groups who shared that with their goalie we we want to take America down from within and it was just I couldn't believe personal they would say those things but lift like gold from the 1953 goal number 27. Infiltrate the churches replace revealed religion with social religion discredited by a very general, I apologize. I'm probably more ignorant than the average person what they mean by socialized religion and wanted to just turn into a do-gooder you're not elevation. It's about just a social club.

You kinda there like alien country cover some of the fellowship out that the final document could discredit the Bible act like that, the book of Lot takes a lot of probably good for this one to get our top absolute truth. The bottom line is I think about what you just said I'm like oh yeah some people begin to think that if I do good and I am right to make them feel good about themselves.

Goal number 25. Right when I read the first 1950 I was just shocked break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV yeah I am thing about that went where is what what list is this particular list was the clearance counsel wrote a book in 1958 called the naked Communist era FBI agent gone into a lot of the communist fell back deal in the 30s, 40s and 50s the FBI had. This is all the information they collect the base of these are what they're talking about is 45 things of the main things are talking about it quite accomplished. And he wrote a book of 58 and laid them all out. I read it for the first time in 2008 years later and I was like you mean they gave us a list of what they wanted to know answer no one. And then you go to the list with amazing, accomplished all 45 of an anti-field now will build a pornographic society but I called my dad and I we got to go to break bread as I'm listening. I'm thinking what the differences between passion what you described versus that socialized church and how critical it is that that message happens with our young people. We believe this is some amazing stuff are excited about these tech segments use data to find out so much more from Brett Curtis we come back here have passion and uses it to build the kingdom and blessed beyond belief by these two today and the passion that God is given them Brett Yunker with passion music and Curtis Bowers, former representative in Idaho but also filmmaker, author, speaker, he's traveling all over the country. As he mentioned, and you can go to kingdom pursuits.com and find out what ours is passionate concert going on is going on will show you right there kingdom pursuits.com you can order tickets all that stuff to be happening October 17 at 7 PM.

Or maybe you want to get connected with Curtis Bowers and get him to come to your area you speak and all those things and I I put a link to wheels on the bus there it at my website Curtis but do you have another place people should go to find out you stick all over right here you go to agenda documentary.com agenda documentary.com so agenda documentary is is is the biggie. And then there's agenda to write a trite follow-up with you personally so successful for what the first film occurred. A history of how we've gotten to where we are. The second filled Masters of additionally how the progressive things are using a lot of issues today to continue this destructive mentality. The merit of the environmental movement to many of you think exposing the people and groups behind what their what their real agenda is as opposed to what they talk about doing well in Brett's father is the passion movement and that kind of thing beyond the concerts and in that kind of thing happen. People connect with your ministry. Connect different ways all the online art Government on clock at.com.

We also got a bunch restart after losing about called Glassman all making it your struggling with depression or anxiety for you document about called back, and did not know our music is on modified IQ different things like that for granted.

But we were out there where you look online. You can you can find some speak about pastor Lou so those are not smelling with his ministry. Yeah, absolutely one of most amazing leaders that I know and him and his wife Shelley there really carried of being really the nation awaken to the glory of God and not you. A movement going on for 21 years now gathering 18 to 25-year-old and I bought it because you know in an era where people say, okay, we've really lost the plot here and working arena and stadium filled with with college eager young people and I think what that is linked church hold up a high content. Let's get our eye off of art get our eye off circumstance. Let's look up. Could she have great years and how powerful the help they think God is like that dead. It can help young people and it gives vision and it gives us hope something know what I could be achieved because he is amazing and we mean we really young people come around that that is God and true picture you got enough to live in Shelley Dunkirk really 21 years now.

It's really amazing to see their leadership there made in visionary really humble people and really actually wants my heart tremendously. Brett to think that you know when I hear what Curtis is telling me that the enemy has got these 47 points that he's been bringing against you know America bringing them against the kingdom of God that you know he's just completely outflanked because God is is been he's had his points for the however many FF Easton bringing the kingdom through people like you and Curtis and are you reassured that in the same way.

Curtis is you get a chance to kinda expose what it is, people are seeing out there. I'll yeah yeah the true is so much work out of it alive but if you're not seeking the truth. There a library.

Our duty as we and what with what we have shine your light when you turn on the light in a room with nighttime filled the darkness has to leave the choice to get a know we want to stay around anyway and I think the problem is I've studied the issues of America for 10 years full-time to the church and Christian stop shining their white and so you'll 50 years ago can withdrew within the church is withdrew and so then the darkness was able to swap over everything that's I think there's so much confusion in our country and sensory loss believe our young people were teaching the truth. We are just hoping they really come out all right without the teaching and training in discipleship and mentoring, and vision given him a vision for life built yet. I'm very out of it. We just need to be faithful with what God is given us to do and so when you look down through your agenda your agenda to from your point of view, what's the most pervasive lie that needs some light shined on Bellarmine the environmental we all care about the environment you treat are you coursework environment, but that little bit of that. So capture even silica Christians is your creation care and capture. I went to to Vancouver British Columbia to interview Dr. Patrick Moore, the founder of Greenpeace. Okay, for he cares about the environment and I talked with Dr. Moore.

Why did you leave your own group ASIC is in the 80s. He was taken over by the Marxist Jewish two-story capitalism the tree and fight the things they're doing actually hurting the environment and I didn't want any part of restart another barbell but most of the stuff there are anxious to share used to teach you to slowly destroy the wealth of American redistributed and it's not how this is crazy to study the people by not been studying people for 10 years. When you speak all that you started a group Y know what you do about what you wrote a book back in the anyway I think that's one of the key areas of the evangelical churches. That's where the main target 30 started going it's all the seminaries in America and NJ group. It was even head of the FBI founder you wrote a book on the 50s also say listen there going to the churches they want to take those things over and sidetracked them off the main thing and we loaded up and so many different groups but it we have to be alert aware, we have to be focused on Jesus could not emotionally, factually, motion fights when we studied our Bibles were not swayed by all the breeders of thing that sounds really good, but aren't, and that's what we need to keep encouraging testing our young people so it so interesting to me that you have Scott times brings me different guest was such diversity, but Brett is as you are listening to what he's saying. I'm curious as to your response from your perspective out there in Atlanta. Yeah yeah you keep in our lives on and grounded in the word of God and you know were called to be a light and an idiot.

I love on the tour we cut it out. Levi Lesko from Montana and I lovely… You not not about pulling away rating felt the culture but also not about looking exactly like the culture is no different. You could call the default and to be like and go. There is a difference we have the Holy Spirit of God and and we live and walk in truth, but we do it in a way of and down and Leslie walk in truth and scope yeah I mean I was so good to go into one of these issues, specifically consent. This is one that my daughter worked at Chick-fil-A for lots of years and she was very involved in church and actually wants to be a missionary and a course, a lot of people would find out that she went to Calvary Baptist Church when she worked there and they would label hers little Christian girl you not, thing right and then she started in on making different friends that she would make normally with the people at church and one of the friends that she met was gay and a course immediately and I would say Troy you you just judge me in an electron step. Of course she Pushing into that relationship you just now. I don't you know and and and trying to figure out where she stands on all that and but at the same time you know it's fascinating to me of all the friends that she had at Chick-fil-A.

She and this young man are are some of the closest but he knows exactly where she stands. She went she's gone to Samford University be a missionary and she continues to work on that with him, but at the same time separate and so the kids of this culture really have things the I never had to deal with that. Really when I was growing up there facing things that we've never faced), and that's for sure. I think you know where to play culture in general where even the ideas of discussion like it gone out out the window. They hate I hold of you here you hold you over there and even hung.

I think the cultural toner component is kind of the things that I think we have laid out and I think if we can any any matter, with a lot of Ralph a lot of utility remember where we were when I break right when you roll and so my friend back in a minute with more kingdom pursuits. You have got passion and use to build the kingdom. Today's guest Curtis Bowers, filmmaker and author of his film. The agenda is absolutely, grabs humans got all kinds of attention within the church and Brent Yonkers with passion music. The passion worship night is coming to Winston-Salem October 17. It's just around the corner here next Thursday, 7 PM tickets and all that are available kingdom pursuits.com and Brett.

I didn't want to just cut you off completely let you finish your thought there on. Now I yeah I think everything with Kelly engagement the world around it. We talk about being alive. I think awaited me that what I. I just lit with humility and grace and to be able to remember how Jesus has been a rapidly out found out that we were dad and aunt Dan and he was one who you are let out of the kindness of God leads us to repentance for anyone to where interacting with.

I I would just want to have the heart of Jesus. People absolutely no that word favor like treating people like. Favorite is just awesome when their sinners and they like I don't deserve like they do, they do because are made in the image of God and Curtis. I know that that agenda the gay agenda is certainly had a plan but inside that there's there's people that are hurting and in far from God. And so it it's interesting as you work through that. When I I wonder where you come down on all that was where to go. Go 26 present sexuality as normal, natural, healthy, unquote you don't do what they know it destroys the person we as Christians get the love them and I think you usually need to do a one-on-one. They can recruit a good start, stirring each other up and you can't have a nice discussion with noted to state the only reason God sent not do that is because you want to find for that and in all this. At 15, the world we could to fix so that lifestyle is not healthy for them.

It's not good for them, like China to come alongside them. If you know what I can argue others to talk about this and and and yet be kind, we can level you and I think we do that. The guard starts to come down with the Holy Spirit and victim. They know what they're doing is wrong. They know that it's been written on their heart health thought that by by kindly speaking the truth into them, and tell me get me against you can't just told everyone not to do that and I disagree with and he told us to love our neighbor and I'm not loving my neighbor highlight that I tolerate him doing something that's destroying that's not love. And interestingly, just yesterday I was talking to a dear friend of mine who's a pastor and and he was sharing with me that he was on his way to go see his brother in another state who is gay and his brother significant other and you know he was tell me you knows is difficult conversation and a difficult thing that you know he was he was trying to figure out how to bring Jesus without bringing you know the wrong spirit and all that into that conversation and what it let struck me as I was listening to him was that you know there's there's people over there that are at the top of the pilot building that are very, very professional and they're very successful in their own minds and they're running their business and they think that they are fine and everything's okay and I wonder if they are actually further from the kingdom than the gay person who's actually struggling with his sexuality, wondering why am I maybe do some but it's actually struggling with the way they were in a summary that's in prison somebody that's at the rescue mission. Sometimes, you know, that's more fertile ground to speak into than somebody who thinks are fine with absolutely regressing in the family with the little children and all there's no better ground to speak truth into to present the gospel and to love unconditionally been to people that are broken and they realized their way didn't work. The people you want to share the good news with you and and Brett, I think of all the young people that are struggling with suicide and all that stuff. There clearly is a fertile ground). You know that that's certainly something you know leave event on to our particular call statement graded here and I think if you inside the church and outside the church. I think there is a grip of fear and anxiety and there's a lot of things that maybe contribute that whether it you know how much the nation how much media we can we take you and II think it overwhelm on the inside and I think it breaks without you knowing it.

It kind of made even contribute a lack of control you just feeling like things are beyond but what we're wanting to check on the work you Come on Wednesday. I hope many people can because what we're wanting to say not going to offer a one-size-fits-all this going to solve every one of your problem but we will state you need counseling to get counseling if you need medicine get medicine but in the mix of all of that but we really need Jesus because Jesus is the one is sovereign over it all, and he is the one holding us altogether and that you can inject faith and fear situation. What that God lift up your eyes above your circumstances. Yet you know that grip of the cited culture and in man what it will hold me, but then Jesus came to speak life and not death so that that's the banner that we passed holding up that we want to be people who speak light in the life of every situation of culture. Every relationship that we have is that we were to be carriers of the life Christ?

In one like that. I think you eliminated for me was the 17th is Wednesday not Thursday.

I went away on their way. I can't remember.

You know what I am in Bentonville, Arkansas. We got her night tonight and I rolled off the black pickup.you guys but I maybe turned around today is the 13th and tomorrow's 14th Monday 15th, which is my anniversary which I don't want to be Tuesday in the 17th is Wednesday not Thursday. So, I am so glad that you brought that light to my otherwise, my aunt Donna Salo and my cousin died at the I love your life.

We were at the fair had the best night of my life. They were called those Amish doughnuts. The Amish don't you know my blood. I know they were here.

Just last week and I had one of those.

Just the other day, my goodness, that I literally bring the light bring light like Curtis, I hate that you missed out on that if you ever even Amish don't. I am living: I will Amish community.

Yet what you're talking about. Let's gather that that's one of the fun things about doing stuff like that but you know, one of the things I think is really really neat and I see your family there with your website and and the wheels on the bus, but you have to huge delightful family that gets to take part in the adventure that God put you on can you tell us a bit about them. Yet, God blessed us with nine children, six boys and three girls of an incredible time together going all over the country and just trying to wake the troops in courage people and be a blessing and a light development. My two oldest daughters got married a year ago to two brothers for a double wedding which was a lot of fun and barely rebuilt a long time and have the first baby this summer. 12 hours apart together anyways grandparents for the first I would fun but yet still got 76 boys a little girl at home and continuing just to try to make it different and prepare our children whatever God has for them to do so tell me are you. How can our list is best interact with you.

Would you like to get your movie would you like to have you come speak what what you feel like God is calling you to have a group that you, your church or that you think would be a fairly good thing that I can talk about what's going on family issues building strong family, yet you go to the use of the blog there or agenda documentary.com you one of those you contact the if you haven't seen the films. I encourage you to watch them. I do they really help a Christian understand the times which is so important and why what happened happened to our country so we know the best way of an ego and then we both know).

It's Wednesday night and and what opportunity you have to see what God is doing.

I know that that you know we don't get to go on the next January, but Terrence and everybody can attend this one at Raleigh first right. I mean it Winston-Salem first. That's right yet that's right we all ate kid people are older than him. All are welcome so you can find out what all the buzz is about my coming Winston-Salem first next Wednesday at 7 PM – music so what a blessing. It's been today to have both Brett and Curtis with me.

Thank you guys is a lot of fun. God blessed now, you're in for a real treat as you are gonna listen to the Truth Network. I hope for the next few hours. Next up masculine journey starts here now at 12 o'clock followed by magazines of truth, and action on the truth
