9 years ago, Vaultt founder and CEO, Audrey Bond was frustrated with the inability to securely share important information about her daughter with her ex-husband. There was a disconnection and it caused a lot of stress and a ton of problems. Audrey saw the same stress and issues with not just divorced but also her married friends. Families in the military, families with parents that worked a lot, or traveled for work, or worked shift work, or had blended families or just very busy lives.

Everyone had the same problem.

While there were organizational apps and document sharing platforms out there, none were user-friendly and more often than not, they were not secure and mined your data.

More recently, both of Audrey’s parents became full dependents. Audrey’s mother is a paraplegic and her father has dementia. She was extremely stressed trying to manage their vital information, appointments and care and share it with her brother. Things were not well organized, she was caught in a digital world trying to organize, manage and share a pile of paperwork. The Power of Attorney form was in a folder in the office, and paperwork for taxes, insurance, medical requisitions, were in different locations and not shareable. She didn’t have an up-to-date list of prescriptions her parents were on or were supposed to be on.

Trying to task family members and caretakers to attend medical appointments and report the feedback was a challenge enough. Being able to have that information digitized, easily accessible a shareable was impossible.

Realizing that these problems were universal, she decided to build the tool that she and so many others needed.

Her mission is to help as many families as possible to stay organized and connected, alleviate stress and give people back control of their data by building an end-to-end encrypted organizational platform for families and caregivers.

Christmas gift why not want the chicken under the tree and leaving irrevocably as Christmas gifts for chicken maybe it's not the gift for your family, but it gives the perfect gift for poor family ninja chicken can break the cycle of poverty for poor family yes chicken chickens and provide nourishment for family and they can sell those eggs at the market for income when you donate a chicken or any other gospel for Asia.

1% of what you give goes to the field and get the ball went gospel fundraiser to support family.

Jesus family this Christmas, give them six explanation see chickens and camping want to talk about this particular issue would because so much data is being wound by family members when you take care of a loved one.

Okay, for example taking care of helping but my family with my parents were doing some stuff with mom and dad doing okay, but there's a lot of information being shared right do you want to share that information on open source stuff.

There's a lot of personal information you're comfortable with that job. It depends if the claimant best on conspiracy tinfoil hat wearing guy that you are excused, I will only answer to my mind, my true name which is Rusty Shackleford close up. Alecto that is the know why McDowell hours but that's the thing that I was a Romney joke that was rubbing some fake name that use on Twitter was peered Alecto over that.

I don't know why but anyway so my next guest Audrey bond has a solution for families that are doing the sort of thing in and she is the CEO it to give away the title of the of the organization. However, that's the mark of a good organizational name is it that tells you what they do in the title of the organization.

It says on the tin so it's the end of her company is called fault fault. Alright, so Audrey you with us. Well, it's great to have you here and thank you for taking the time II thought this was fascinating what you do, tell me about fault and tell me why you started why you doing what it does and how people can get be a part of this. Thank you for having very great.

I'm calling from way up north here in Canada. In Montana about in Canada are you are you with your Québec. Actually I am the nation's capital okay will a little further from you or John is just no way would you sound so close to us close feels good so I had years ago about the 15 UL eight.com involved in a secure information management and communication platform and I felt that help families and caregivers communicate and not really easily store and share important information and tasks and schedule my mission in and I'm trying to do doing right now. My days help families and caregivers stay organized and stay connected and alleviate an information card and get people back control of their data in the building. We felt that organizational and communicational platform. And you know while there were apps out there and document sharing platform dropbox and other non-provided the features that I needed and most were not user-friendly and so you couldn't get in there and start and get going and more often than not, they were not there any minder data and I've always believed that the partner caregivers can improve the well-being of the giving and receiving the care and and that's what we're doing you know you want to empower caregivers wanted to help regain control and help their peace of mind. I gotta admit, I built this for myself without question because something this innovative is not built to the vacuum, there's always a reason why you're doing this so what was that reason to reason so I actually started this journey 10 years ago and I was going through divorce and my ex-husband unfortunately didn't really know anything about her daughter communication barriers and not created issues between the information Philo and inch issues between my daughter and my ex-husband and I went to the distance wanting to be constantly feeding him information daily about her, but he without touching on that wasn't right with looking good on purpose. A bad guy.

It was just the way it was and so IIII was really I struggled.

I looked around and I recognize that my problem was actually quite universal.

Back then it wasn't just because people had divorced. It was because their people my friends that had an elder who has been on travel a lot for work. My friend the military. They struggled big time. My friends where both parents worked a lot and they had nannies or there was rarely home. They were very disorganized, very stressed-out, very distorted and disconnected and I always thought you could create something the place where I can go in and put all my daughter's information and updates on her life and my ex-husband to come in and he and Sharon feel empowered with this information 10 years ago. But the thing was 10 years ago my daughter was seven and I was a single mom and I'm like okay I will.

Okay I'm Bill best, but I realized that was to me optical back then again my daughter was seven she needed me out of my business and I'm a single mom and so II actually you computer programmer net is that which hello know it's even more impressive here because you know this is like you say words like information silos a big such as that it you know, I don't think you held this this know she's military grade encryption that she's no but you weren't any of those things were know why, but the military for years but felt more than anything. I was a caregiver to my daughter. I was daughter getting to this I was also the daughter to disable parent and what I grew up with and I I I wanted to build a 5 pound developer started in market research again. 10 years ago when I make this is this is I need best and everybody like oh my God I need this to everybody when was overwhelmed I wanted that they needed their life but I recognize that that woman in my life at that time I couldn't do it required me to do the full time and I had about the business that I had to take care of my daughter so I walked away and I regretted it every single day of my life and you know if you're never after asked me what the single biggest regret of your life. I would've said no there's not a weight yeah it was one there was one thing I always felt that I was meant to well okay you have one. I I am so full a history of regrets I have a library so we were so far ahead of the curve. Audrey written comments. I'm a failure, and L and failures. I've had many say that has brought me to where I am and you get better things by not being good at something and realizing that many go out walk is about a good. So I like to think that the people of my life have failed hard hearts, you know, I so I went back to doing what I was doing in and outdoing my new best and taking care of my daughter taking care of my parent. My current age. NIAID age and my mom is a paraplegic and my dad had dementia and my brother has mental health issues and so now I'm managing like okay it's and I really really needed vault like I really wish I had the place, because now I'm really having to look at the current date. I really had to start step and you know I think I slept in a bit too late because it's always the way because they think they were also proud.

They didn't want that. You know, and I try to do it on my own and and how do I share this information with my brother no and and the ball dropped a lot and were so many problems and I was so stressed out like oh my goodness I have to do something like the universe begin to and it involves landed on my lap again and I bumped into one of the developers that I've met 10 years before any like a Audrey.

You know how the going and I happen about that biggest regret. You know, yeah, yeah, and he said, would you consider looking into it again and I thought well I daughter is 15 now and if I don't do this now let me now the universe is screaming at me just put it on my lap and I I don't follow the signs and listen to what's going on I will. I don't want to regret the stress in my life and I need this very badly now. I thought I needed 10 years ago I needed so much more now and so we did it so I dropped my business. I said goodbye to all the clients I had and I threw myself in the two years ago and we did our market research looking at were doing. We decided that we we realize, and I've always felt that I never liked that my information was mine when I go online so I decided that you know the biggest big issue with people coming to like about the concern that you know the claimant private and personal information out there, and it can be hacked and so we had to develop architecture that would ensure that wouldn't happen to protect user sensitive data so we did it.

We felt that it glided out there and you know I'm I followed through and wears will first let me address a couple things are you kids couple's huge important things.

John and I talked about a lot of the show. One of the muses that you that point was that I was doing everything myself. That's one of the landmines about books that it's all up to me.

So congratulations on asking for help and partly with people to help you do that.

Number two are. I just think this is also because only a caregiver of a particular war the deals with the multiple things that you're dealing with is going to really understand the core needs of fellow caregivers.

You know it's not something you could theoretically come up with. You got to live it.

You just got have skin in the game and you do and so I really want you to know how meaningful that is to me personally because I like to see that of the innovation of caregivers because I think were a highly innovative type of person we were were high skilled functioning multitaskers and then one of the things also like to do is see caregivers succeed and and and and whatever they're putting their hands to because they are there funding such purpose and what they're doing.

They bring that passionate purpose into it and so I just I just need to get that out there because those are very important things that you hit on it and I know that my listeners are going respond to this how they access this help what's involved is what's is the subscription rate or their tears of subscription. How do people get involved with this because this is so important when you're sharing this vast amount of the inner part of my data being run to the lesson you want to do is send stuff over Facebook messenger. You know that you're dealing with complex family dynamic situations you want to have a place so what are some of the practical things that people go to see immediately when they start looking at this and then have the access software where I can start up a new world right now are available in the Apple App Store.

You can either go and store and startup vault by name be a UL PT two team I like about.com and that really will give you an understanding of the features that we haven't really where mission is we are both monthly and it let me look for the second listeners when somebody says it subscription basis of what this thank them because if it's free you're the customer always remind people that all product free for you, for your John corrected the beautiful John, thanks for the sounds tested you journals test yeah yeah yeah and if there offered to for free. You're the product and the right to go to Maine, they got them on your data in the cell things about you and you're going to be just inundated with the stuff in your personal stuff is getting out there and and so thank them that it's a subscription based they that's it. That's number one. Tier thing of saying this is this is protected.

This is encrypted mission not only to help caregiver and also helping a better being cared for, but also to educate people and so he looked me up a blog or website and there is a new new product recently and it's about security and barely know the average person to understand that you know when you go online and when you start searching for things and if you've ever let you know that you look for. I don't know a yellow sofa and all the fun you know you're on Facebook and you can yellow what's going on right.

We made a joke about this over the last guest actually happens a lot with don't listen over why would you go take a quick break and talking with Audrey Vaughn. That's bone Audrey Vaughn, Joe. By the way the country is never, but we're grateful to Susan CEO of vault with tutees.

Have you ever struggled to trust God when lousy things happen to you.

I'm Gracie Rosenberger in 1983 I experienced a horrific car accident, leading to 80 surgeries in both legs indicated I questioned why God allowed something so brutal to happen to me. But over time, my questions changed and I discovered courage to trust God that understanding along with an appreciation for quality prosthetic limbs led me to establish standing with help more than a dozen years we been working with the government of Ghana and West Africa, equipping and training local workers to build and maintain quality prosthetic limbs for their own people on a regular basis. We purchased ship equipment and supplies and with the help of inmates in a Tennessee prison.

We also recycle parts from donated lambs. All of this is to point others to Christ. The source of my help and strength, please visit standing with help.com to learn more and participate in lifting others@standingwithout.com. I'm Gracie.

Everything we do administration offended you've heard her story about of the prosthetic work she does with amputees in West Africa.

This something she had a passion for what she lost her legs and with sometimes when you have these horrific events in your life.

It just redirects your thinking in. She said you know what I will go out there and put legible fellow amputees and share the gospel with them and she does and we do and you could be a part of that. It just puts the caregiver.com just just click on the link and use it. I would talk with Audrey Vaughn and she is the founder and CEO of vault and this is this new epic to the Apple Store right built for for iPhone users and is coming soon to the Google play store where you can get this on your other devices and it is a let me just thought something she says or how easily to fix access and share your passport number.

Kids health care power of attorney documents, wills, vaccination records, health and wellness updates for aging parents schedules. Test all these kinds of things and I got full disclosure here. I gotta tell you, Audrey. I actually several years ago.

Worked on an abdominal flavor told the developer the work of an app for this very thing and we develop the app is pretty good which he registered to corrosive things because I really want to do some for caregivers.

We have very cool name for it and I registered the domain pay $15 for the domain name Didn't go anywhere, really. But I didn't take it to the next level but we got it on the amount of police, will you, but we got it the same amount of money for the name of the app of the web, you did tell me tell you will not get you what it was but I paid $15 for the name of the of the what's this was good to find out who was buying it, I could've charted more a lot of people want to tell you how much I think it's a good it's so like you I imagine you are so happy that you have done this because this is something that is hugely important, and in families or more and more going to need things like this and in its I don't feel unlike you, I don't feel comfortable just sitting this even through emails. You know stuff and all that stuff yeah I know, social, and optical. Unlike you lost your passport right. Would you be able to access that information, and in Canada it actually is not done in Canada but is hereby done in Canada. That is to have your support canceled because you need to provide all the information so well so will I know you can photocopy a copy in their and their luggage, most people are like no I don't know what I would do it might have stolen.

I know that my friend my neighbors actually were looking for the social insurance card or thing that you have there children turn out the hours trying to help fight down looking for that card never to be found. I member there so many times that I know I have power of attorney to my parents, but the paper document and it was basically on my shelf in my office back in a folder but when I go down to Montréal where my parents live carrying that with me everywhere I go there's been a number of situations where it was very close to having needing to waive that one. I have power of attorney, but I didn't approve it when I'm right you know your Social Security goes, I absolutely do because I am a fireproof safe in my room but I do have digital copies on something less secure than volt so maybe I got dressed himself in the cloud just like because I one time I was out traveling and I lost my wallet and I had to go through airport security and CSA and all that, all that stuff with no wallet and no one's. That was a bit of her tasks so I learned well. I called the they called me and asked me if I knew it without I refuse to know is you really talk all fellow deep voice and will I so when you think this will what's the next step for you guys, Audrey.

Where in beta early stages and so there is a big deal right now that people describe the monthly payment and again you or we cannot access your data vault is actually more secure than a mobile banking app I wanted to seal the company or any the developers we can access your data so we have right now it's a special lunch special. Normally, 1199 per month for the servant right now. We have to cut in half for 599 a month and I will be locking at that price. And by the way, that is a deal that is a what you're getting because I'm looking stuff in her love of one right there with what she's offering. That is a deal and if you you are the iPhone users of Apple users go out there do this please do yourself a favor right now this. And by the way I'm thinking I would do this to with when you guys get into Google play this on my phone shadow and I really am on android about my synthesis of the R should be on. I was, but I'm not very smart people on android. Sadly, I'm not one of them, but it makes me feel better. But no, I just think this is a this is the tremendous tool for the family caregiver the world is truly upside down and people getting hit from you just saw the twitter deeds being hacked was it was just tech Jonah twitter just lastly, no, I did the Big Bang something like you just really big names of information security is quite especially when it's your will indeed and there stood also. It's it's so good for everybody. As we see in the self singing from the same hymnal.

You know it when you have everybody's able to look at the same documentations and workflow and agendas and doctors.

Opponents think this is credible to what I'm looking up with this out there and then you would when this thing goes out of beta. You come back on the show. Lately updates we can because I really appreciate what you do okay.

I'm willing vault.com you will see on thank you so much as a soap to great to see you next
