Dr. James Banks selling and many other books on prayer provides weekly insight help you learn to mom and now owe some fresh red urgent prayer to tell us more about where you must be referring to the new course are daily bread University for about a year been working on in the lesson video series there and it's now available there online free. That's exactly what I was talking about and I want because there are some great stuff there. James want to start by telling us you know what is our daily bread University. Well, our daily bread University is a great site run by our daily bread, of course, whom I also write for out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and they have over 170 courses on the site in the area of Bible study Christian counseling ministry leadership theology world missions and and now prayer also several other things as well but some of the professors were courses there John back Steve Brown Constantin Campbell Larry Crabb Alice Matthews John Tran John Townsend Mark Young and and many more. And now I'm one of them to cool so there's a lot there and there is a cost for the courses.

No no there isn't. That's the great thing about it. This is fantastic material for self study group study or Sunday school courses because it's all up there online and in the 3 mile and understand that yours is currently the featured course on the website source tells how we can get there yeah yeah and that's because it's just been released. But you know actually rob you of where it were selling something we felt like an infomercial at this point, but that's really not okay well all you have to do is go to Christian University.org or just put our daily bread University in your search engine and the link will come right up.

So tell us more about the course, you sent has 10 lessons right so the average lesson length is about 17 minutes or so and the first is entitled why, pray, and we look at the difference. Prayer can make in our lives and why we need to do it all. The second is, why not ask, and this one looks at Jesus teaching on the importance of coming to God with our requests and how God really wants us to do that. The third is about when you don't know what to say when you pray in man. Haven't we all face that the floor and the fourth one is about obstacles we face every day obstacles that come up when we try to pray in the fifth one that is about praying for others who are loving others with our prayers bouncing about halfway down the list now, but wait there's more. We really tried to look at prayer for about a practical angle not just talking about it, but but giving people the help that they need pragmatic help that they need to just really do you know to honestly pray and in a down to earth way. Sounds like things weren't all struggle with and so I'm actually very interested. What are the other lessons okay what lesson six is about praying with others and we look at both mistakes. We sometimes make when we pray with others and also some things we can do to make it go a lot smoother and and that's really helpful on lesson seven is about praying and fasting fascinating area that you don't hear a lot of teaching on and so we we really go there then.

Lesson eight deals with the question of of unanswered prayer.

It's literally what about unanswered prayer. What is that look like what you do when it happens to you.

You know how you get through that lesson nine Dennis about persevering in prayer, learning how to to really go the distance and keep on praying. Sometimes, even if it takes years and then lastly lesson 10 is about living a prayer filled life which really has to do with living in Jesus presence more and more great topics and really practical. Those are great topics and you know we've Artie said there's more but actually James there's even more why there really is court biblically based listening guide which is to help you ask questions and take notes and go deeper and also discussed content solicitors guide would be great for group study right right in and there's also a transcript of each lesson and it eventually will be a leaders guide upward as well with Westerns and discussion points but don't think it.

That was quite ready yet, but you can even get the course on audio so that you can listen to it almost like you listen to a podcast while at this point also mentioned that the encouraging prayer podcasts is can be downloaded easily just tell Siri I want to listen encouraging prayer change thanks or no Alexis, you got that at your house is great stuff.
