Welcome to truth matters with Dr. Cheryl Davis Graham takes her study this week into the fifth chapter of the book of Revelation and the seven judgments of God in the initial approval of the earth during the great tribulation. Years now Dr. Davis and Dr. Cheryl Davis you're listening to truth matters. We are continuing through the book of Revelation. Today I we began chapter 5 where the Lamb takes the scroll. I titled this the deed to the earth.

Last time we did chapter 4. His focus was on worshiping God the creator. Chapter 5 is that same heavenly vision in chapter 4 continued that here we see the worship of the Redeemer.

I don't know about you but I'm sure you learn the Lord's prayer as a child in the point where you recited thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

During the tribulation. All heaven you not praise as God prepares to answer the central request of this prayer that the will of God be done on earth as it is in heaven. I don't know if you know that really you been praying for the Lord to take over the earth and to establish his millennial reign on earth.

Since you've been reciting the Lord's prayer. Let's get into chapter 5 will read verses 1 to 14 and I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the scroll and to loose its seals and no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look at it.

So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll or to look at it the one of the elders said to me. Do not wait, behold, the lion of the tribe of Judah. Roots of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.

And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a land as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. Then he came and took the scroll out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne and when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a heart and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints, and they sang a new song, saying you are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and have made us kings and priests are a God, we shall reign on the earth.

Then I looked and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures and the elders and in the number of them was 10,000×10,000, and thousands and thousands saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea and all that are in them. I heard saying, blessing and honor and glory and power feed to him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. And the four living creatures said amen and the 24 elders fell down and worshiped him who lives forever and ever. Notice in chapters 4 through five.

The scene is in heaven, but once we get to chapter 6 through 19. The scene will be on earth. In this chapter.

As I said before Christ is being worshiped as the Redeemer where in chapter 4, he was being worshiped as the creator. First, let's focus on the scroll in verse one we see a scroll rolled up written on the front and the back indicating nothing can be added been sealed with seven seals. This is the title deed to planet Earth. Revelation chapter 5 tells us what the title deed contains and what happens when the seven seals are released to understand the scroll. You have to understand the historical perspective of a Roman scroll. The first portion is typically written and rolled up the first seal is applied.

The second portion is written and rolled up the second seals applied in reading the scroll. That procedure is for sale, which is the average legal and resource as we see in the future chapters that deal from heaven will judgment that later.
