Enjoy it, share it, but most of all, thank you for listening and for choosing The Truth Podcast Network.

This is the Truth Network, the heart of every man is a great adventure. Life doesn't usually feel that way. Jesus speaks of narrow gates wide roads, the masculine journey is filled with many twists and turns. So how do we keep from losing heart trying to find a good way when life feels more like a losing battle than something worth dying for, grab your gear and come on a quest with your band of brothers will serve as the guides and what we call the masculine journey. The masculine journey starts here now welcome the masculine journey we are glad that you're with us today, and I know I do say that every week and I say that every week and then say that every week so it would get that going on, but no, thank you for the Groundhog Day. It doesn't feel like Groundhog Day that this is exciting exciting show for us, were a little tired was talking to get the boot camp hangover from the standpoint of its is such action-packed fun time. The can get a little down afterward, not necessarily spiritually down just you are getting a little older so you know you little bit physically tired you know the next few days, but that it was an amazing boot camp and today she's gonna be about just sharing our favorite boot camp memory with some clips and us were excited to talk about it but it was before you gonna cook it was just an amazing boot camp when in any it was sorry fighting allergies today, but it really was and we have less attendees and we probably ever had that quality was there.

You know it in quantity might not of been there, but definitely call quality was.

It was really a different type of boot camp.

We saw some things we've never seen before. But God is faithful to bring what he always brings his at ceiling restoration demand and set men free and we've always believed that in a God that will have at each boot camp who he wants at that boot camp right in on it prove that way again. This time I think that everybody was there needed to be there and I don't think we were naturally missing anybody at least at this point I think it's when the hearts ready and data got against one is pretty amazing set shot at the gym and get half.

Half the group therapy on the gym connection that's right answer anything anyone at tell us a little bit about the first clip were going to go ahead.

It's it's not yours, but you can tell snow dishes serve the last of the first and the first will be last. I gases. This is a clip that we typically at least part of the audio or what we usually indicate with it really just goes into speaking about the importance of freedom. It's the last thing Braveheart where we Wallace screams out freedom, but then it goes in to kind of the rest of the story of Robert Bruce to Baxley betrayed Wallace and then how he almost is doing it to the Scottish people again. But then he thinks that he changes his mind and then the biscotti stand up to the English one last time and in the results his head recommended his arms and legs sent the four corners of Britain as a warning did not have the shanks plan and I Robert Bruce rolled out to pay homage to the Army's English King and except his endorsement of my starving judge to feel as they float like Gloria float like Scott one St. is pretty hard taking in six minute clip and get it in diminishing and I was out of that was chopped up a little bit of it is still yes, but getting usually start off the last tracking is laugh at my my clipping business that you did a great job minute it worked well. I think you did a great job that other than you. Is this referring to get a shot nurse off so many times they felt like words in that wasn't as bad as normal ninth.

I think usually I get shot up a little. Yeah right. I actually got to play this time that Aref reinvents you know the thing about it is it really made me think what I heard. It made an impression on me always always like to see that at the end of the campus pretty consistent pay more attention to it this time and I just just got me deeper and I felt like you know that is the key message of what were talking about here is freedom came into the masculine journey is pretty bound up pretty wounded man. And whenever you see you know that clip a lot of people say will that's somewhat fictitious story based on history and it really doesn't apply applies everything to do if you believe that that's the kind of freedom that Jesus fall for us and that we're continued to go on.

You know he's done his part like Wallace did his part. It's our job to go on and not only free ourselves to allow him to free us, but the free others as well. The battle was on. It was just to get started again. After we Wallace.yeah I think the only differences the laws of scrimmage once and done yet exactly yeah Jesus continues on in the midst of it right and he is still fighting and your heart be at NC that is really the victory is the resurrection united in the reason want to start with that clip is that the end of the day what we saw from the beginning again to the into camp was freedom right we saw guys coming free from some woundedness getting some identity they didn't have her. They had forgotten and been stolen from him getting pieces of the gospel back and we seen that and not just for the campers before the team. The team also experiences things into illegal entities in people say will.

How could you have done so many big cancer tenants. Many boot camps everyone were different from the Netherlands and God's coming up after something new. For each one of us each time you know and so it's it's it's like when Jesus was healing a blind yet the end result heal the blind, but he did it differently every time I any 20s boot camp chair. The end result of some level of freedom that how we get there is a journey is just an adventure with them as we go exactly the way you look at the Gospels are so many varieties of way he did things that I don't think there's hardly anything he did multiple guests feeding the five 5000 7000 or whatever it is a consistent type of thing that most the time he did things differently because he takes into account or individuals with many different things is gonna be a different group, that dynamic so the minister he does you not to us and through us is gonna be different exactly exactly run imminent switch over to you and have you go ahead and get to your clip and in that Glenn set the clip up if you would know we can come back and talk about it. Okay the clip itself is from what really matters here freedom riders and I know so what we had is a bunch of kids that are kind of on had a rough life. Having a really hard time in this English teacher takes money gives him wonderful writing assignments and they grow in a growing growing what you have here is one of the kids presenting something from his journal that is very touching and inspiring Misty carries something from my diary be great. This summer was the worst summer in my short 14 years of life.

It all started with a phone call. Mother was crying and begging, asking for more time, as issuer, gasping for her last breath of air. She help me and stated she couldn't cry. Tears hit my shirt but it's time he was being evicted. She kept apologizing to me that I have no home as she had asked for something less expensive at Christmas.

On the morning of the eviction a hard knock on the door with me on this shared was that to do his job and let them but this guy waiting for something to happen. My mother has no family to lean on, no money coming in, why bother coming to school or getting good grace if I'm homeless. The bus stops. In fairness, I feel like throwing up our ankles from last year someone shoes on the inherent I kept thinking I can laugh then stayed in Green Bay a couple of friends in my English class this hits me Mrs. go on my crazy English teacher from last year is the only person that made me think of hope, talking with friends about last year's English and a chance, I began to feel better.

I received my schedule and the first teacher is Mrs. go on going to a three.

I walked into the room feel as though on the problems in life are not so important anymore. I am will tell you when you sit around a bunch of men that are willing to share. Be open and honest about where the Ratner walk later in their life and be very vulnerable to a bunch of other men so that they know some that they don't know it gives you hope it inspires you and that sharing is something that really forms the brotherhood and that walk together where everybody can come together in Christ and basically it when you're at camp. It's like you're just family. I know I I've got have traveled very soon for a funeral back home and you know it's it's sad that we have to go home for funeral but it's going to be so awesome to see my cousins again and the family members and at every time we get United whether it's been for weddings or funerals is just joyous occasion with family and that's what it's like in a boot camp start sharing going deeper with you guys that are going to make their second or third boot camp and they're going deeper and sharing more defining out more about them and yet first timers that are there in their opening and sharing in talking and it's just something that makes me want to share more go deeper with Jesus as well because I want to share more with you guys and you guys keep sharing Maureen the team when we had our nightly prayers over the camp and the team were just so it's hard to even describe it. They're just it just brings us so much closer range. Enjoy it. As you and I think it takes away the enemies that hold yeah realized that we see more vulnerability through stages time this morning quiet time when individual conversations and great we will have a masculine journey boot camp coming up in November. Get the dates we come back, that is@thewebsitemasculinejourney.org could register now, what if one weekend was now an estimated basic training designed to give them an permission be how God made lawyers based on John averages allow that heart experience four days purpose for God to come after and perhaps reawaken dreams and desires uniquely placed to today. By the same masculine journey. I'm here with my son Eli.

We talked about ways he held his ministry, smiled at him and smiled@amazon.com is information on website there on how to do that to Facebook.com and click the donate button you can get a masculine journey.org and find the.org email something a great song it's it's an amazing video of the best videos of ever seen, and so encourage you to go to YouTube watch it in its obviously him talking to God asking him to remind them of who he is to God, which is part of boot camp, something we do is go out and ask out about her name and so that's something that's been very powerful to a lot of us. Over the time we've been there and continues to be a different boot camp. CE continues to come up with new stuff for us, which is pretty amazing Athenian window before getting any of the big Coming up is November 18-21 right so it's just ahead of Thanksgiving right so you could just think of this, you take a couple days off you get to spend it with us. We have a lot of fun to get some breakthrough.

God does some amazing things for your and then come back in a short week at work. It doesn't get any better than that right. It's the perfect time to go to boot camp and you're prepared for the relatives. Yes, because you have all these new tools to deal with them yeah yeah the good good ones and the bad ones I it with every tree. There's if you will nuts out there once in a while so you know I it out of those branches, you can have some of those nuts loose ring cousin Eddie, cousin Eddie that I think Danny is going talk a bit about your curfew and set it up first or what he wanted in the clip is from a movie called evicted us yet. I've never seen the movie so can't tell you what is good or bad.

The clip was pretty awesome and Nelson Mandela has come back into power and relayed this movie and the clip of the scene from his office and he tried to bring unity back from a racially toward country and he's evidently hard these soldiers to go in his one of his chief officer, and he's not happy about so and they talk a lot about restoration, reconciliation and forgiveness.

And that's kinda what that what my memories about yeah and partly what it is. The guys that Mandela played by whatever his name is Morgan Freeman I he's hired guys that had been high had been trying to kill him and his people right that that that sided with him as far as politically and so that's what the guys upset about is that these guys are just hunting is now not that long ago and you've hired into a kind of pick up the clip now is because therefore space a bunch cups in my office. What digital nothing. They say that the presidential party guys and they've noticed I I these men are specially trained by access and lots of experience and protected contact assembly doesn't mean that they have to come you'll ask for more Band-Aid and you just said. I asked when people see me in public. They see my body got, you will represent me directly at rainbow nation starts again reconciliation starts here reconciliations reconciliation Jason Conway, Pres. of the level of these guys try to kiss leaving peaceful guys in my office tight and often succeeded. Yes I know forgiveness starts at two forgiveness eliminates the soul. It removes the act is why it is such a powerful weapon. They knew what was it about that clip you wanted to talk about Vicki well this is my second boot camp.

The first I was a camper and in you guys have adopted me since the enter moved into the area and start hanging out masculine journey is so going to do this was my first boot camp as a team member and had Irma Ricky stripes almost made lighting technical expert and he got demoted so yeah the rough camp, he is so, but I went into the camp thinking you we have a new neighborhood we you moved up. Trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing ministry was have always been involved in something, usually via involved in too much and so I'm going and it is going okay.

Almost see the other side and so I was just getting validation data validation in my in my name. The new name.

Talk God did some things there. He showed me a deeper wound like we talk about Shrek in the onion with onion, peeled her several times that I am psyched and I will do a response for the beauty talk how Deco really well. I did mess up anything email mail about what happened was he that my dear friend Sam here. He loosened note surrounded and when you do the talk he would own understands of Dobbs things move in. You go a different direction, and he know in no way intentionally left me out there no way and check so that there is a I hear him say, and as we wrap up and were going to code of silence and I'm thinking in a hat and so he comes off the stage and were hated the cold sounds that idea simply say that I guess were not doing a response in my heart is crushed because my wounds involve not be irrelevant. Doesn't matter, and I used the phrase now that I have sacrificed myself on the altar of acceptance to city at a change who I truly am in one of these God gave me back in his camp was not know who I am, like I've never known before, and it was like Satan hit me in the mouth SL walk out in our process and things that I go to the cabin. Adults of all cuddly, but I begin to I think God really gave me the spirit of less look at this thing in truth and so I'm trying to get past the motion of everything is flood mediated and I having a sidewalk at the picnic table and one long. I see Sam come across the yard. I tried to act like I didn't see that I hear you say you can tell me go away if you would like, and it was part of me without yeah you probably need to. Anna so to make a long story short we talked about what happened and in the beauty of it was is that Sam came as apologetic, and he says I have to own what a death so I know you did me to sit.

Doesn't matter and we talked about it in and what we came away with was we reconciled the wound right then and there.

Let the enemy have no division and move own beyond that. But what that moment became was a notary stamp on everything God had showed me and I was more pumped the end and everyone is that I found a home in ministry. I found a place just to be me noted as the Pentecostal of the bunch. Now for some reason or another and let it assess is a great boot camp and the one moment in time that should have been what the enemy meant for evil God turn to good yeah and it was very difficult on both of us. But God redeemed on the sites for and definitely think we can manage stronger then now make you feel better. You are the only one my response on the poster. Talk also get skipped but it's okay though I didn't know Juergen responded that will help since you have the my taxes indicating ask and ask. That's probably not your favorite memory from Vicki. They can yeah I was fine. It didn't it didn't really bother me much kitchen. The look of the time. Yeah, I guess my favorite memory from this camp was a young man that lives a far piece from here had been listening to the podcasts any. He took it upon himself to drive alone to a place he'd never been to be around guys that he had only known from the radio and the interesting thing to me was we were there. He looks at me and he says oh, so you must be the guy they pick at all the time. Mailman and the let them yeah I was really impressed with Zachary and that that sort of my favorite memory from this recent camp yeah it was. It was a fine group just from all over the place and people in the end 19 years old drove up from my Athens Georgia by himself, you know, pretty, pretty cool adventure to go on 99 I don't know that I would been able to do it when I was 19 I actually imposing. I would've been able to do it when I was 19 my car a with him. It could be. I just don't know that I would have the ability to do that beat that your car was posing yeah was it was actually next aggregate time. No we don't.

We do have to get your clip in the lower segment as well as my clip facility with hydrogen bomb actually one this is no happy boot camps have been to somewhere in the 15 to 20 range.

This was my fourth time of getting a new name and I went home. I think I sorta hesitated, but finally admitted what it was to you but it was that had very special meeting and the new name was mourning Dove.

I went home and before I even told my wife that she said you never guess what I saw had never noticed before. But there was a pair of morning does and updating of the birdfeeder and I've never seen the colors on the available for an that was sort of another kiss from I've Artie got a kiss for my life, but that was another kiss from God, so that was one of my favorite thing was for the after action and you have to stay to get the rest of the story. Yeah, we got more yeah yeah you need to go to the podcasts which you can find it any of the podcast outlet.

You can get it at that iHeartRadio guests modify iTunes get our website masking journey.org to listen to it or.org these guys like to say I say that a BA can get it from there. Lots of places and get it and listen to the after-hours podcast where we continue on with the topic that were talking about NYTimes going to let Mark deeper intimate conversation since is not grant going out over the air, but this time again, he continues more the same as we go through this boot camp for me. Honestly, I think had the most vulnerability of any that I've ever seen from from the campers in the prayer cards. It came in very early in camp and very detailed in camp in people opening up about this that the horrible things is going on in their lives. You know that they need prayer for them and watching them over the weekend progressed since he got him after the heart is really pretty cool even for Martin.

We learn stuff about each other and we walked together for a long time and we will learn stuff by each other that we didn't know which is really critical to the God really called us to be even more vulnerable with one another the nines. I think it was really pretty neat.

And again from the tocsin the stage and get a lot more accountability than ever had and I think it that's what God had in store.

I'm interested see what he has in store for the in order to get an excellent masking journey.org register for the camp coming up November 18-21. We'd love to have you there. If money is an issue reach out to us. We can probably help without a little bit, but we need to know will talk to you next week. Have a great week. This is the Truth Network
