GUESTS:

Danielle West, MA LPC is a neuro- psychotherapist and passionate advocate for a mental health paradigm shift. She has been working with trauma and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) for decades, experientially and academically. She is driven by her conviction that the current psychiatric model is generally failing to treat mental health and instead enabling a consumer market that is dependent on reductionist explanations for a simple business model. Her practice in Georgetown TX focuses on using a state-of the-art treatment for mental health disorders based on a Trauma Model therapy created by her colleague, Dr. Colin Ross MD. This cutting-edge therapy focuses on the brain’s neurobiology, and the energy waves that activate our DNA thus influencing thought, behavior, mental illness, and disease. She is also EMDR certified by the only Shapiro certified provider in Texas, Dr. Christie Sprowls PsyD. Ms. West and Dr. Ross have an education/ consultation group in Tx that focuses on educating professionals to treat complex trauma cases with this model. In 2020, Ms. West will also begin offering consultation to practitioners in the advanced use of EMDR, as well as writing, and speaking publicly about this dilemma in mental health praxis. You can read more bout Danielle by visiting her LinkedIn Page.

Is Amy, life can bring many difficult situations domestic violence addictions, poverty and even sexual abuse by your loved ones welcome Amy, and Q good afternoon and welcome to the care of on your hosting Mikado joint by pouring ice that was available live in your radio also like that are called the care and or website. Amy's purpose.com where podcasting from man meet the satellite and later becomes a podcast showed yes to suffering and the tenacity of the human spirit. The will to survive in the carriage. Keep moving forward despite any obstacle with the help of God and each other.

We did provide testimonials to let people know that they're not alone, and they shall testimony started with me having been a survivor from child sexual abuse well in TM adult.

We also have experts in the medical field and inspirational speakers that are willing to help and get valuable information. Knowing that awareness is vital. Transparency is needed and I believe we all suffer or have suffered from something as for me, my healing came from God that other forms of healing are presented as well to service everyone life can be very challenging. But always know there's always someone who cares and I hope everyone very Merry Christmas that was everything I wanted by Billy Agnes.

All of us want to feel safe and believe that no one can hurt us and it may be difficult to deal until we learn to by changing the way that we see ourselves because the enemy doesn't distract us. But what if there's more than one a few. How do you find a balance within the emotions of multiple personality and can we recognize it in ourselves or others, and what would be the best way to approach it.

Today we have Daniel West licensed professional narrow psychotherapist who specializes in trauma and disassociation facility to identity disorder also known as multiple personalities.

This order and the trauma model therapy.

She's also known to be a passionate advocate for a mental health paradigm shift and she presently practices in Georgetown, Texas.

Danielle, thank you for being my cousin welcome to the show and yeah I really hope you had a very make Christmas and thank you for being a ray of hope in the lives of so many Danielle for those of us know nothing about it as I did once, until I saw a show on TV. What is disassociative identity disorder that normally you become their memory, or biologic. No more. The Lord will enter dialogue feel like coming our entered also block the controlling for a number of different life event, but other can remember which person in the different people all and I from these different order become when young, a before the age of 10 years old, probably for prolonged periods of time is is the person with the DAD.

Are they aware of the multiple personalities they are not. I have no idea they have altogether different anger, but they don't really personality how they're able call down so they would act different ways at different times and not know any different people would rant out for you. Our reading of a couple of days on woke up I think that they don't buy writing that look like they're written down so very caring individual not knowing what's going on all of their body and they feel like they're going crazy difficult.

I understand that it also quits consists with PTSD and more so with complex PTSD by company and income fixed. It is these not accepted and accept the diagnosis here in the US. Could you tell us why I their model of reduction okay can you simplify that no what happened.

I have order that it is not coming from their biology environment and then we would have measure for the environment, which model is not prepared to or doesn't want to going from what I understand that I work with have tried to present back our now and only getting back is the right one but PTSD is accepted. Although I know I know for fact there is complex PTSD. I said I would call borderline order for conflict while like a Ms. Doug noses label is labeled there there for treatment you want to give it work but personality disorder is pretty serious. There's a difference between personality disorder and complex PTSD and you're saying that sometimes they get the two confused lot. Larry, model really go or that conflict operate at long as long.

What can we do about this. That's kind of sad there's people out there that that is in the therapy of the problem not getting the order five not die not been properly diagnosed are not properly diagnosed the biomedical model. I do know predominantly by okay you know that the order order alcoholism. All of our Medigap door reality. The problem is that when people are coming in you little they are there alcohol idle.

They are cleaning all the time. More than one diagnosed and so were having comorbid diagnosed early people think different diagnosed how much cleaning all the time is bad.

I said there's nothing they are getting morbid, but no morbidity with model of diagnosed and how much does genetics play a part in comparison to the environment that we need to figure out my prom will mean well that's exactly where I agree I may Mikado and this is a cure or continue talking about multiple personality disorders when we come back please: if you have a question or would like to share your experience goal is 1866 34 through life can bring many difficult situations, domestic violence, addictions, poverty and even sexual abuse by your loved ones. The issue is not steady their book to overcome all obstacles and show that with the love of God, your husband and your family. You can succeed.

Love is the answer. God is the key word reveals baby Cabo's life, a warrior who didn't give up and achieve the dream of her life. You can get to know more about her at her story on God is the key word.com or buying her book on Amazon.com back and things pertaining to the care and anemia Is that are just joining discussing multiple personality that was amended by Matthew West even if your broken beyond repair. God provides healing beyond belief near never too far gone. God is on the air scientific.

If you and bring you closer to home. If you feel you nothing but damn it's good God see something cut in the making. Because the enemy doesn't waste time on what is we will always be a process in the making. God is not finished yet, you may see broken neck that always cease amended. We are talking to Daniel West and-year-old psychotherapist specializing in the 80 the last time we spoke you are speaking about at the pens on the threshold. Now I understand that there that threshold could come from genetics threshold.

Something that can be learned as well about what what you know and everywhere else in nature and populated, going the way our body wired environment occurred with the general memory that we that happens in everyday life and declared memory memory that we actually read able about verbally module of their memory.

One of the model in order to deal with the environment. The control no area.

Your body is also the coverage is like your mental health court more, not working with the environment.

The environment will the more anxiety and the phone is different going on. If I did conflict get body and your time to help their body come back down my professional and bring the body back down and how does the person know that dissociating if they're not aware of the multiple personalities that that on and every day (you drive work home every day. You always remember your drive home.

Some people know that there are but the problem is I'm helping Mark to become more when it becomes a problem when your life is disrupted because I see that okay number four were or how to get here, you know, our schools will put the number in my pocket that why allow the body by not have to go through your life. What I wrote, this is what you have yet, you are no and figure out where we can put I wonderful member of the one that's awesome news that there's a cure for it because the person on disorders. I don't know about that. There is disorder, borderline or in my way, model therapy, go to help and not die and go dark and healthy order and go bipolar goat yet conflict I heated up and down based on the bodies you based on the environment that body. So it's aggressive in that order.

There are, I would. I would not order lot more but also this is gonna do anything those you are in place which can be bundled in one next PTSD. What is the prevalence of DoD dissociative identity disorder, old lovelies of our work so well were not on you not work for right but one indicator for hearing point the problem with that people care more going really does know schizophrenia is not reading it while always idiotic. I'm sorry I order over populate our goal to bring thousand year undiagnosed now.

I mean, can't they have like a chart of the symptoms in DAD and look for the symptom is schizophrenic and a lot like while not I guess the brain is very very simple thing to mind right there. I start looking at not adopted. You are model.model that's exciting used to get time to be alive. The breaker we can continue talking about the probable approach.

I am Amy Calvo and this is the care. Please call if you have any questions, 866-3426 348-7884.

We would love to hear from you. Welcome back am Amy Calvo and this is the cure member where live every Saturday at 1 PM and the radio are called the cure or a website.

Amy's purpose.com. All shows are available as above cost or a video podcast as well. Just look for the cure. When I chose or anywhere that both costs are that you are you by heavy styles.

Is there anyone in our lives that we would walk through fire for them to adore so much joy someone so much that it's all little effort. Do you must exist if it makes it into the song. Most of us have experienced unconditional love and imagine God's love for us, how much greater and perfect is God's love for his children. Talking to Daniel West, a professional psychotherapist about multiple personalities Danielle before we move on to the trauma model approach which European year of I just wanted to say, Walmart comment about the threshold just that you know, at least for me. My threshold came from God and mean they genetics rate guide the environment really helped that God bless the source so that tell me about your trauma model approach or, God with the body measured what trauma model all the doctors coming out and yellow three.

We need to get something. There's another doctor that read and nobody all all leave our only okay okay with the trauma model fire back. Though it all look for comorbidity by honoring genetic honor genetic threshold that were talking about down but it's also going to allow the piano player. Think of genetic no later was just starting to understand the trees like a guy get think about three are coming right when somebody makes a bigger deal out of something that would probably be something normal to someone else that are robbed or whatever is more than someone else, have been ordered by like a normal reaction of the body like a stress response would involve behavioral therapy dialectical behavior therapy.

All I really like the energy we are so by all current one region of the brain.

The other so EMD are just so far listeners to know is when they didn't do anything wrong. When you go back and repeat this at the past so that you're more in touch with your feelings.

I did tell in my book. That was my EMD are heard. What way would allow gather and you can have the feeling you with the moment, and then it can be put to rest though. Think of your body at the computer and it downloading data from everyday life, that brain information processing naturally moved for mental health by storing all data organized way possible that when information is toward an organized manner. We can well in a positive mood and everything works really good Dr. block current balance by then it become the pile up of multiple. With the download not working for simply bond but struggling to return the balance like computer trying to buffer never got everything was down and the consequences are negative coping mechanisms like turning to drugs and getting angry. I just want to give examples and it's aggressive going to your outlet that your body had everything that coping skill right and do you also integrate Scripture into therapy at the corner of order negative cognition. I am not worried.

I am not. I don't belong anywhere. I am lovable. I know where people get the foundation of their all our where can I find meaning a lot yes where help me find the found where every five what if you believe your higher power. A lot of times the problem when I have a lot of you and you not they are not ready God. They are not ready. But reality even through note that the way to navigate around for them. Find maybe define the purpose. We would feel like our life is hopeless or why were we even ever born mean I went through a period of time where I went to my depression and I know about all that I just you know somebody almost killed my daughter and I learned to pray again and they paid everything and then miraculous transformation. I wrote about and I hope world has changed. For those that don't meet Heather daughter almost killed theirs trauma specialists and the trauma model approach sounds great. So there is hope for people with DAD. There's a stigma there's there's a big stigma.

I mean people are wondering how do you know if it's been real if they're saying the truth. I know I saw special on HBO the many sides of Jane and I know where to whether to believe it or not.

What if this is just somebody that knows it acted really well you don't know how can an average person tell what's real and what's not there around them. So it if somebody says they have DAD's believe it. Oh client that have with her.

I on the show. The MRI showed a very different neural bundle operating. I did see that there was, you know, physical evidence behind it and so yet there's a stigma with abuse there's a stigma with a lot of things, mental health and just meant you yeah just meant the whole thing general. Maybe a look of over diagnosing everything going right our money and power back to the people possible only in model that they're holding on right and it's it's nothing that cannot last forever.

Though we know that there is such a thing because I belong to Facebook group that's public and down. There's a lot of people that post on there that had DAD I know clue what it was when I was reading their posts is when I went to see the movie about the many sides of Jane 5% of the work under 30 minutes. A lot of people yes follow back will continue talking with Daniel West about dissociative disorder, I'm Amy Cabot and this is the key here is going. If you have any questions. 1866 34 through 186-634-8784 life can bring many difficult situations, domestic violence, addictions, poverty and even sexual abuse by your loved ones. The issue is not stay there, but to overcome all obstacles and shouldered with the love of God, your husband and your family.

You can succeed. Love is the answer. God is the key word reveals baby cobbles life, a warrior who didn't give up and achieve the dream of her life.

You can get to know more about her at her story on God is the key word.com or buying her book on Amazon.com where back and thanks for being with us. I many capital and is the cure. I've every Saturday at 1 PM Eastern on your radio social media just the trainees purpose are at the Q later. The show will be available as a book caused search for the cure was amicable though Amy spell delivered. We are, with an eye and a W on any part?

Think that was grace when by Matthew West again. There's always a war between guilt and grace for a lot of us, and a lot of us are living proof, as I am actually spent time instead of lying down in Pastis the device up to me that's what happens when grace when silver shame we're talking about the trauma recovery specialist Daniel West when it comes to multiple personalities and how you been such a wonderful source of information and it's it's really get to know that DAD is not as misdiagnosed. First of all, and that his treatment for and their secure and so what I wanted to know if somebody knows that they had DAD or the have a family member or they suspect that they have a or somebody else what candidate you to get help. One of the steps that they must take our right now. Apple right now though they will people that are bringing but there's only one, model that law or psychological trauma had to get treatment. There, there's a lot of help with Andrea ERISA will have my yard. Oh, with that is causing why think what we really need to start educating start educating the provider public and one education profit made then will be able to get more treatment loan. I suppose there's not a lot of specialists in DAD right we are on our We are trying start training and do we have our first training and see where it goes from there helping more people I get everything out different that what else could I be the only one more people to come out and let's get going on a demand is higher than the supply pressure I'm seeing it all over, support groups, and I needed some people are actually talking about it because that's the good thing about the support groups on Facebook or whatever social media is that people open up and they share with each other and how important is the support system and what's the best way to be a good support system. There are fire their model that we need to talk about really get better talking out raw.how do I know helpful by we need to start integrating them out programming for people gather and that they which a lot of work knowing I'm not alone. Anyway. For I am actually neurobiological but your brain operates on that showed your so basically just to get a recap if you had a long term childhood trauma, you can have the associations which means gaps in the memory and this disassociation can lead to DAD that he could be treated with MDM are and that I don't know the trauma trauma recovery and what is and what is the recovery.

Or is it individualistic what I want some support system. So is there something personalities in the DAD that show up another violent gunk cannot exist where the log were everybody cataloguing a lot of that while know it will have a lot of time there going to be three different type art are going to be a perpetrator part of angry and then there's the rest are that are part that we believe helping yeah so what yard does allow the go back raw part anymore. You know you anymore because that neural bundle really different time.

He brought a 2009 here now yeah willing to be reborn again that I will that's I tell people you know direction with resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you just walk this path, then you can start over my not home. That's the neurobiology that are over and your fabric is fine liberated that we are going back to incredible.

It really all you with the biology but enter energy around the biology of the electromagnetic field of biology that were not looking were not thinking that gut feeling really something better that we go to.

So what do Cindy do the trick determined that there is something measurable.

As far as psychiatric right now we are trying out what going on all other area that I meeting modeled understanding that that treatment based on the proper diet while measuring energy feel right, but I know those changes in the brain. Physical changes that can be seen in MRI when somebody has DAD but it decodes to treatment and you say this treatment in their secure does the brain go back to its normal look back, that's amazing. I love it. Three.

The third book called why electromagnetic field. What I am nine chronic deal that work by external electromagnetic field fracture failing you'll I am seeing different medical diagnosis go away people not needing oxygen anymore that needed it. People out very quickly.

One lady had fibrosis while very big help and medical alcohol. So the thing that DAD can give you physical symptoms like arthritis Raj, I know, stomach pain and headaches and let me know if you talk about that are part while that part in the AMS is gone. That's amazing. Well, God bless you focus on a mean is 20. If there is enough specialist for DAD. What's missing is a not taught in medical school or something will not and you said key education is key.

Maybe that's we can start getting the providers provided for people that dialogue different. We almost finishing with the insured was great having you the new think you on your few minutes were left thinking and and and you think you so much for wonderful people like you got bless you that you do bring that dialogue back and actually get a person to finally feel well again because we aren't all born broken were not meant to be broken for the rest of our lives and really doesn't how to what we go through in life the kidneys.

There's always someone who cares if it's not God's people like than you think it any more information on the near West can be found on trauma. The docs stuck and think future audio producer Jasper for being with us today and thank you Jasper for being patient about my songs. Let's pray. Loving God. We pray today for those who are confronted by the sadness ambiguity and confusion of mental elements and for those upon the demand for attention and compassionate care look with mercy on all his afflictions bring family distress Confucian or isolation provide them homes of dignity and peace gave them understanding helpers and a willingness to accept help, we have name in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen this is Amy capital they care. Tom asked me and think is our listeners being shattered
