And then of course Bento Brown with all who are thirsty and you know what a neat song that is in it really speaks to the 42nd Psalm, and so today's show is brought to you as always by some Hebrew and I depict two letters that go together very uniquely evidence of gimbal which is this idea of something big and huge gigantic service peak and then allotment and when you put those two together you get the ideal of rollers of billows of you know when that one that in the 42nd Psalm of a talk about billows or where he was. The innovators don't bear the two letters that you put those together and you get that and interestingly, that second letter allotment is the same word letter that begins the word heart as your heart cries out for God and so your heart is a natural bill or just saying and so the other thing we can talk about today on today show is that accident happens and immediately many things are upon you because you're in deep trouble and we want to know deep down, do you know who you're going to call you know what you're gonna do, do you know the steps that you need to take when you know that a middle of a crisis that settled could put you in a bad situation right so to quote the seventh verse from the 42nd Psalm it says deep calls unto deep, but the noise of value waterspouts. All thy waves and my billows have gone over and when you hear that you can't help but think of the same words, the Jonah cried out and he was down there deep and maybe in the belly of the fish fry and interestingly he used that same word. Give Mohammed that that idea of billows and so the very, very deep thing about the 42nd Psalm just to begin with. It's a song for the sons of Cora out who like what, how could there be a Psalm for those people who all went down in the pit buried alive in Cora's revenge and right. You remember all his sons went down with them in the pit. So how could there be any sons from Cora and so that is some deep questions just to begin with. When you begin the Psalm and then if Samuel was here right, the prophet Samuel. He could tell us because guess what he was one of the sons of Cora. Simon according to first Chronicles 6 if you look about you will see that's his lineage. Likewise, how did that happen.

That's pretty deep just to begin with. And you know it had me wondering is the beginning of the Psalm right you very very famous as the deer pants for water. It's interesting that that that this Psalm has so much to do with water and so many different ways, but the dearer it starts out panning for water and it's it's it's really almost so deep that we get the idea. What I don't understand this.

I mean honestly, I look at all of the I don't really understand and I think it's okay. But there's one thing I do understand is the last verse and Alana going to that for a second because here's the last verse.

If I read it to you and says this last first 42nd Psalm, why art thou cast down all my soul and why art thou disquieted within me and says hope thou in God and he is a beautiful word for hope there for I shall yet praise him, which that word is God.

He truly meant that submit it's the word that begins the word Jew that when you hear the word Jew. It means were praising God, and remember to praise him. Yehuda, I mean that's the idea of praise who is is pretty cool when you think because he says Judah and that he says who is you show up okay that word health is.

He says who is the health of my countenance. That's his face who is the issue of my face who is Jesus my my face mean that's exactly what he said this son of Cora whoever was wrote this Psalm right long long long long long before Jesus appeared on the earth is telling us that when he was down and the deep cried to deep. The thing that brought in this health was Jesus and and that each is to spectacular to me that you know we sit there we dive into and they really dig deep in the Old Testament, you know this is something we all know that is just as you start pulling those nuggets out how everything points to Christ I'm in pain statistic that gets me excited how it does in and that that the whole idea of give Mohammed is a role right and you think about the waves I want. I want you to see what I see little bit here there if you've ever been in deep deep deep deep pain but the pain came in waves. If you had a child. But you know what I'm talking about right.

Those are birth pains and they come in waves or you know when I had a brain abscess.

Nothing you want in my brain was swelling in my skull and they had to get me an emergency surgery and I was having waves of pain all the painkillers in the world are not helping that particular pain of all the pains of experienced Matt came in waves and talk about something that was billowing over me. That was just more than you could possibly imagine. But God sent.

He did a lady you was home in my Sunday school class and she just stood there. She knew and she just held my hand and I knew that I knew that I knew that what was holding my hand, was Jesus like you were gone through this way you know you're in it, but you gonna come out on the other side of it now and I thought about it many many times that the the solution for the billowing of the pain that is going on is it is and will be always. Jesus but in some ways Jerry the pain of the heart is much worse than that right so you had a chance to do a funeral this week that really spoke to them that I had a antipasto weigh-in this out of my family within the past this is the third death in three years of first a father and a brother. Now their mom and in the hurt was as abstract as we were talking and just watching and witnessing it was so deep I mean it was almost where at that point I realized they hadn't really grieved the first death of losing a father, when all of a sudden they lose a brother.

It young age, much younger than me have a heart attack and then now their mom and so the one thing is a stellar lobby earlier, you know, a funeral, you always want to make sure you honor the person who is who you've lost a step, but also it was it was just so important to me to make sure that through that that that service that the hope in Jesus Christ, just important that was part of it because without that, I mean it just that her just grows and grows and grows.

And really, if it doesn't, has you mentioned that, that you know with your in the swell of the brain and in woman holding your hand he felt Christ in that it was it was Christ that because he supplied that comfort through her and you know what unless we understand that in know who Christ is and have him already in our heart and stepped in is hard for somebody even understand that.

So I had sort of over the last bit and over the last few years.

It became a almost my call upfield to make sure that I talk more about what Christ, the love of Christ can do and Stefan use that as an avenue to bring people to Jesus Christ. Because if they don't understand that they can't see any hope they can't see any good at a day at the king see any good out of illnesses goes this side of heaven. We can't see it.

We got always focus on what Christ has in store for us right because the stone was rolled away. Honestly, when you think about an automatic transmission and the catalytic anemia torque converter and all the all the valve body up there so many parts inside of an automatic transmission. It blows my mind.

But these guys and they dive into it. The understand of the electronics of it.

Maybe okay but he had way more peace of mind, absolutely because he had me lock slot and another was that girl called me, which I think she only did twice in the entire time she was in college I mean, she had my complete attention and she was going to get whatever resources that I had available and be in the car doesn't have a lot of resources message you need.

I think we all want to imagine ourselves that date, you know, just kind of go happily into happened you know confidently and happily into heaven, but there are some who who I felt weary that they taken it out artistic unfolding in God reaching down and told them I just thought that brilliant because many people know the instant the craft and that their faith, they are even felt that the rate took topic a bit, but it was beautiful. I called a few of them but on I was not a Christian enlightened in my 20s and I got married and we couldn't get pregnant and I was it like everywhere people are pregnant around me and I finally got a tea party and the mother who was very Christian.

I didn't quite know who I was calling to and I got very and I was in the hospital recovering and I had the terrible dream about the end of the world and I called the night. Because it was so painful I was a pain in the dream people. In the night. I it was dark. The hallway was light and she leaned up against the door and she said I don't worry about the thing because I have my chief. It was just into my memory.

Wow because she had the light behind her and the silhouette and never forgotten it because I was searching I would into the new agent Shirley McClain when she said that it looked like the pillar of something to hold onto till came after you with two different real believers really displayed their faith in a moment when you were when you were looking and I and I can't help but think of one of my favorite verses in the hundred 19 Psalm as I remember thy name in the night. Overlords and get a lot I mean is I see that nurse standing in their inmost in the shade of the light and and then sharing those words that she deeply needed to hear straight from Jesus's mouth right beautiful. Wow, what made when I moved from Canada Portland. I got surrounded by many Christian people in Italy.

It was shocking to me.

They all talk, talk about godlike date brushing their teeth or something else on the hook. I was surrounded and ended up going to the church that Luis Palau with an Algerian and I don't know if you know that he was eventually dealt and then you can mark little event. I was on the ego. I'm not a Christian but my husband loved eating well, I'm on my own on a very deep yell in Whistler and I fall and it's a big spotlight the big Mac and one man comes up and they blocked me so I can stand out and I'm here. I won't leave you… Like an angel. I did get out. I got upgraded and that you're okay and that he deep down I thought that was deep in the snow right right right right I get to anyway and then ate the last one was Mike when my father died, you mentioned your father dying and how devastating it is when when you did love that person so much. I I had to fly back and I live in JFK airport with my daughter and I was locked in grief and I was lost in direction not doing airline pilot. It was like an angel really may think me and never forgotten that using me as I hurl those Deborah, I'm sure it's amazing to Jerry to his you saw every one of those of what it was.
