So, how cool is that for topic of Christian card I God's car show and so last week you may know, I had Bob Young host for me because I was actually at the Sweetwater Baptist Church car show in Douglasville, Georgia. We talk a lot about that but I was just so much fun.

So I had to just start us off today with you know, 409 by the Beach boys who could forget that and one of my all-time all-time favorite songs little GTO by Ronnie in the Daytona house. If you remember that we made a little bit more from that, you know, as we go through the show today but today show is always like Sesame Street is brought to you by the Hebrew letter Zion. Did you know there was at least deeper letter name Zion it's really cool letter and working to talk a lot about that bill did you know where I think I remember you mentioning that letter before. So interestingly, to get kind of you know when I went this car show. I was amazed as I always am, and how God is in certain events and other events. You go to and is not there, but this event he was clearly there and you could see the way that things were coming together that they were organized in a way to love on their community and love on people and I want to share some of those ideas that but I never ever forgotten I had an opportunity. One time to interview the Kendrick brothers which do all the movies courageous and well Roman and baby soft fireproof back in the day flywheel was the one on cars that who could ever forget that way when they came out of the movie war room.

I got a chance to interview them on another show that I do and I asked them I said how do you guys do such great movies. Let what's the secret behind you know you always come out have never seen anything they did that was not standing because I never forgotten Alex's answer. Alex Kendrick said to me, Robbie. There are good ideas and there are God ideas and we only work on God ideas, and so not to totally ruin the movie that they just came out with but I don't think it's in theaters anymore. They did you know it was called show me the father and in that it showed exactly how that process worked for these guys because Alex's brother I'm thinking of Stephen was going to adopt his child and any got it on the plane he felt God was given this idea to adopt a child on February 14, 2011 and he wrote it down in his Bible God saying you know wants to adopt a child so he gets off the plane because his wife uses hunting out God's Thomas we got adopt a child license so I've been praying for that for two years for this, but the interesting thing about that story is there to have lots of children and their actually still capable of having more children because they have another child after that.

But nonetheless this is what happened and so they got a hold of an agency in China and they begin to send in applications of these babies and they would get these pictures and of course you knew and all I know of these these babies would you have some kind of birth defect or something and you would think all this is gotta be the one. This is gotta be the one God. Stephen kept on saying now I'm not feeling this isn't the one in the adoption agency is wife of broken heart. Every time this goes on and on and on, over several kids to the point that they could send many more fixtures because they think is not serious, but apparently they got desperate because after about six weeks. They finally send him another picture of a child in this time Stephen goes Yep that's the one that's the one right there so they end up adopting this child and what more than remarkable about it is this. This child had more defects, heart defects, and all the stuff the rest the children but what they find out is the child's birthday is on February 14, 2011 while he was on the plane right got got a hold of him telling him in the course take if you watch the movie they're gonna show you the child in all that you know the relationship with her other children all the stuff because it was a got idea right in and so out how to you tonight but from my standpoint, it all has to do attuning your heart to WG OD okay you turn in the day.

I don't know because that you list the Mississippi to different you know, so I guess if you're west of the Mississippi have to turn into you know KG OD okay but if you're east of the Mississippi were entering into WG OD but how do you turn your heart to hear to know okay yeah that was a got idea). I would love to hear you sure that 8663 for 87884 is a number to call in and share and I want to share in a I had been praying all week for this car show that God would tell me what because I was supposed to speak to the crowd as is, they were waiting on trophies which are given to the minute, but I was waiting, waiting, waiting for God to give me what it was I supposed to say, and I knew you know I would come up with ideas. It was, and that this was, and that this was in it but when he gave me the idea is what idea he gave me but he says he said I want to talk about the two most important pieces of advice you have forgotten your life and how they helped you in your heart. This was his idea was mine. That's how I know it's a good idea if I can immediately tell you to go up loud. Robbie, how did you tune your heart to WG OD because we are east Mississippi here in Winston-Salem but anyway 866-34-TRUTH 87884 so when it came to this car show right I wrote down these tips and I put them there at my website if you're Christian Car Guy.com. It's called God's car show and so here I show what I think of the key ingredients that God gave these folks at Sweetwater Baptist Church in order to put on this amazing car show and yes we are to get to the letter sign eventually just stick with me. It's all to come together for you but the first ingredient that I saw that clearly God instilled in these people and I think the way that I know their heart was tuned to WG.

OD was made everything everything about this event was based on love. Love for the members of their church, love for food on camera tell you because they have awesome food. They had love for cars, but more than anything they had a love for their neighbor and and you could sense that they wanted to do an event that had everything to do with reaching on saved people with the message of Jesus Christ right because if you really, really, really love God, you know how it hurts and that this people the they're gonna help me miss.

It's a horrible thing. So if you really, really hurt to an end of that know God heard from everybody that doesn't know about Jesus and mean he heard from everybody that that isn't isn't part of that deal. So this thing is is is in doing a car show which you know nobody could stand behind the car show. I can tell you all about these cars cannot bill every bolt and nut I love these cars but what's way more important than that is not part right and he wants these people that don't know him. They may love cars and that's the reason that they tune in your show Robbie or they may in a lot of people is the reason that they but in order to get to heaven. We have to accept Christ trying and we have to realize that that idea was way above any idea we could ever imagine. That was a got idea to send Jesus right to die for us. Oh my goodness and and so Mike, how can you structure an event to make this happen. Well, you know it's wisdom that people love to eat. Bill, they just do with its good food and so one of the things I did, which to me is just pure genius is they have a barbecue contest within their church. Okay this same time while turn the car show. So by put Norma's barbecue contest.

They had 14 different barbecue shoulders that were available that were going to be, you know judge to see who had the best barbecue which by the way the pastor came in second because there is of forward divers like but anyway you can imagine all this barbecue because all you people working on this contest and and so here are all these people and it was. I'm telling you it was absolutely delicious and so I'm not about you, but free food is a definite plus if I want to go to an event right and in here. All this was supplied by the church, lovingly because they were all having fun with the contest like who's gonna win the barbecue contest and and so interestingly they started the event a 10 x 11 they had the food out and and oh my goodness ministers part of how people are getting fed but again there's something more important to get fed barbecue. I know you may find that hard facility to be hopefully spend some time with that but I would love to hear from you. I've gone to the Sweetwater Baptist Church and it's right outside of Atlanta and Douglasville, Georgia is on not far off Interstate 20 is your headed towards Birmingham Alabama but nonetheless we had a great time and there were so much so many God ideas that I saw in it and so I'm I can't help but note, like, how do you tune your heart to God ideas.

How do you know okay that was that must've come from God will do the big points in my life was.

I was at church in the church would been a long time now is of the Christian action committee said my main thing was which organization got a check that we had a interim pastor.

He said I want you to go to this dinner. What I need to get this done. I just cut a check. Why in the world.now I want you to go to this dinner so I show up and is a group called the Gideons that but you all guys go sit down and is that banner I see the banner new members meeting and I mean how is fit to be tied always spit nails.

I just was waiting to get hold of that minister sit in the and there's this guy there. This just doing a hard sale. Still, he is just frustrate in the ever 11 what out of me and Annis want me to sign up and I said will first. I had prayed about this yet.

Second, I'm not in a make a time commitment without talking to my wife about this. And third, I'm not real sure exactly what it is you want me to commit to an obstinate armies doing a hard close mean I am just absolutely ready to while having a being an insurance salesman and no hard clothes smell it right.

Not only that I got for incident car sales made you walking out of that meat going God. If you want me to do this you get it clear my calendar. Ha ha ha ha. I had a Cub Scout troop that I was leading in one of the poorest sections in town I got in the church to support it.

We have having all these problems with these kids running around the church and with some of the older members not terribly pleased with the and I think that the Sunday I got that that he had overall the Sunday school classes. As you know mixing you got more your kids come into the church that are members to pass the other nice thing to say. It took me about an hour replies that really was the spirit that it was delivered it and one of the kids had one of the elders was it said it one of the kids are going. What in the world about the will I get a call the next day in this nice lady that the apartment complex will working out of said I've got some folks that I need to have call and talk to you and they called and they said we want to set up something called kids Café. We are in a church right across from the apartment complex and we've got six volunteers three nights a week were going to tutor the kids with you to provide them a meal is going to be in our study will to help them with their homework.

I said you got six volunteers will know we got six for each night. How in the world.

I got three different churches that are willing to do this I said yeah that is just absolutely spectacular. You had that sort of why we said at the Cub Scout group but why are you calling me.

They said will the manager said that if you want behind this and if you didn't get to talk to the kids parents that there wasn't any way in the world that these kids with parents would let them come and I said I said at one of the nights is the night that you do Cub Scouts applicant you know all it all the it was an easy decision to help them switch will the next day I get a call and somebody says they headed to the principal at the elementary school gave me your name and number and yet we just moved in down to this area and I'm trying to forget how to get plugged into the PTA lie had been treasure the PTA for three years and of most of the people in PTA that you're not supposed to do that and only reason I did that was that I couldn't get anybody else to take it in acid will what were you doing in your previous PTA's. His eyes treasure.

Well the next day that I'm coaching soccer unit. The things I love to did only reason I was coaching soccer was a said my son wouldn't get to play if I would willing to be a coach.

I had two fathers walk up to me and say Mixon would been watching you coach and we want to let you know that we both have been coach and our sons older sons, brothers for for years and we were considering taken over in an coach and only under one condition suitable was that since we really only need to cut it makes it in four days about my entire time was was tightly upended and I'm sitting there thinking you know this sounds like a God thing to me, but I'm not real sure yet. I said yeah these crazy old goats get up at 6 AM to have breakfast at 7 AM on a Saturday morning with I wake up tomorrow without my alarm vomited take it is when you know what 6 o'clock the next morning I woke up wide-awake related bid go. It's this is something I'm not sure whether I was policed or not, but I knew it was a sign so I go down to the breakfast that I meet all these fellas mean they were just neat. I got down on their knees to pray. You know that some of you, but it was the first time I can ever remember seeing a but you guys get down on their knees and pray, and I knew I mean, I knew beyond a shadow of the doubt. I was exactly where I was supposed to be, and the hidden miracles after miracles after miracles after miracles from that group. It's really been a unbelievably God thing in my life And you can just tell right, it's just this. This is been orchestrated. This is something that's absolutely beautiful. Now I know that through Bill's story, something came up in your heart and so there's the idea of the show is that you got to share that you gotta call us at 866348788486634 truth God's car show today a course you know I wanted to continue on me and obviously they had your time. I volunteers are notoriously water. I guess they had over 50 feet right that are out there registering cars, helping people do this that the other is just one God shows up. Our guys show when you see a way that you could tune into WG OD God's voice to where you new okay he was innocent and as I said this car show that I was at last weekend was so cool I have some pictures if you go to Christian Car Guy.com that you can see within the picture they show, with that look like they had a Volkswagen truck there was a 63 model. If you can imagine this was a four-door look like a Volkswagen bus, but it had a truck back to it and the engine was in the rear. This big thing and all my goodness, I mean you just had to see it to believe it was the winner of the entire show. I may have this matter. I was telling Bill about that had this blower on engine and you know you just absolutely lit up the tachometer mapping was just awesome so I couldn't help but think what I was put in a song together that you know how fun, how fun that all these people came in and again it was my job. I knew the way that they structure this thing is they really want people to come. That's really their hearts desire. It and so they structure it so the event starts at 10 and 11. They start bringing out all this food, which is an absolute feast. But before you get your trophies, which is obviously what you know they have the judges that have gotta decide and do all the scoring. Whatever will this is the point right before they head out the trophies at Robbie speaks in a just about 10 minutes before they hand out the trophies. So then I get an opportunity to speak so you can imagine like if all the sudden you're given an opportunity to speak to a group of mixed people and I was like people to go to church but there a lot of people there to just love cars, and so are my God, you gotta give me some. I know a few people that do both. Now the pastor there we came on the car business to Roosevelt and everybody so behind this thing.

I'm praying God, give me some that I know and what he gave me was so wonderful. He said Robbie wants to tell these people the two most strategic thing in the two most the best pieces of advice you ever gotten a life and I will is you've ever sat down and thought what would be the two best pieces of advice ever gotten her life will number one for me was when you pray, you got two ears and one mouth, so do the math. Listen twice as much as you talk, which was hugely instrumental. I can tell you and that's how a lot of the way that I to my heart. WG OD is to this day when I pray I really do try to listen twice as much as I talked the other piece of advice I got from Norman's appeal when I got and it was to get up an hour early every single morning in our earlier and pray that God will show you what the word means that read the Bible and the when I originally heard that it seemed crazy but not Vince appeal knew that what faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And so when you tuning your heart to hear through the word of God didn't know what his voice sounds like. I sit down and reading that, after I got married and right before my first child was going to be born, and I was dealing with a drinking problem and you get about two thirds of the way into the book before you realize he's a yeah yeah Ed I got down on my knees and I said you know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and I stood up sober.

I mean I not been sober ever since. But accepting Christ was number one married this girl was number two and quit drinking was number three, and a cool I mean some really think in your life you get some to share with somebody that you felt like would be of value in what would that be and I couldn't think of anything better than to tune your heart man to be able to hear from God because that's how the Kendricks brothers.those ideas out of how Bill got his idea and will be in the parlor Gideons which hands out Bibles by the way, I mean how strategic Colella put in a plug that we got. The next thing you know, this happened but I cannot tell you how many times that I've called car repair shops different situations we thought there does seem to be no way seem to be no and and all the sudden the person on the other end on their forget this one wrecker driver somewhere in Kentucky and this guy clearly was not a question.

I'm not a Christian. He was so mad at me like you expect me to give away a free towel and I'm like well sir, she doesn't have any on data man and he eat eat, but he wouldn't hang up and I just kept on sensor. I really know you can do this on the and and and he said well if I do this will you shut and promise to never ever ever call me back again I said yes or and and and so you know he gave way that never ever forget that. Well, I talked about that on the show the next week and I have a listener call from somewhere like in Greensboro and they knew this guy from Kentucky, a bit like the fact that you got that man to give away the toe is beyond shocking I know that man and and so you know what I did. I broke my word and I called them back and I just got a tell you so-and-so knows you and and and they will that there really proud of you.

It was I that I wasn't asking this time, I was just Sharon but it was in those names right yes sir, I clearly got ideas so I'm so thankful that I see a car was coming. I've often thought would be cool that in my dreams while I'm dreaming I can remember to call on the name of the Lord. I just think that's awesome that David had that, but it also could mean in the dark seasons when things are looking bleak and you need a lot of light you need to call on his name but his is actually heard a commentary on this is the sum I just want to share with you all to take us out to get such a nugget, but I'm in a keep in my heart and that is that what they felt like King David was saying here was that if if you are suffering. Can you imagine how much God is suffering because if you're a parent and you want your child suffer like oh my gosh, is it hard bill or is it hard right to watch them. Going to wheel him into the operating room or whatever. Now just imagine God's got all these children. They don't know Jesus. You can imagine the amount he suffers and so if I'm in those dark seasons to remember. Wow if I'm suffering, how much more is God suffering it's almost mind-boggling to me. I thought I think that's an absolutely beautiful concept. I didn't want to not share with you today. It has to do with the letters Zion and that has to do with remember, remember God is in this and so sometimes we wonder why is all the suffering happening will all my goodness, if were suffering. Believe me, dad is suffering all the more we have Williams: from Taylor South Carolina William you're on the Christian Car Guy ship the morning good morning and thank you for all your doing, it is good for me that I have been afflicted that I might learn thy statutes. No believe that's also from someone that is and I was afflicted in a very good way and my atomic mom -sized WG OD hearing from God moment took place in a jail cell where I just looked up through the ceiling and honestly from my heart said God if all that Jesus stuff that I used to say I believe it when I was a kid is really true, then I need to know right now, otherwise I'm done with this miserable life and his faith just lighted me like immersion in like sitting down in a hot just completely covered me with belief, and as solid as I know that granite is rock the truth of the gospel just hit me and from that moment on from that atomic bomb moment there now been every day a good-sized bonfire every morning when I stop and say, God, please let me fall a little bit more in love with Jesus.

As I read your word and and I go through this old-fashioned Bible reading plan McShane Bible reading to get you get the New Testament twice in the year to get the Old Testament once a year and just a daily moment with him to start every day that's just it. It has kept going. Ever since that big bomb moment when off now.

Have a nice the know bonfire every morning so that that's how I tune in every day I have to tell you I get letters. We do all the time from people in prison because they have radios and they can listen to us and so maybe you are in present day and you're hurting. I hope you heard what William said you know I bet you there's a lot of you had similar experiences when you're a kid and and when you're afflicted you're in a better position in the jail cell then then then the guy sitting in the high-rise somewhere that has no clue is afflicted with degree will absolutely that I don't know why God works the way he does but he does and it does save my soul and I have an eternal joy that will never be shaken. Even when awful things happen on a day-to-day basis. There's always the rock below which I cannot fall something slim. I can't tell you how much it means to me to hear that I got another call I want to thank you William God bless what oh what a powerful story made my day combined right.

How can the care can recovery journey and things like that and hopping yet like painting the bottle from the feeling that there had spoken to her mom and at church and she said she was going to buy new car and got put on her heart not to tell old car that needed and I Spoke to her.

Told her sorry and act like her with a time that the Army and it would get me you know when living out of our current now that you lease to occupy thing that every time we get in that car. You remind us of our you know and parking lot guide. We couldn't have incredible I think I'm mad Teresa what what was your son's name Dakota Dakota name didn't die I'm sitting here living out of your car. You write me much when we can make it work may have been able and Don every animal, and we can back down Dylan's holder and after we don't don't go away into the show and talk to you. I know Bill does in the nation. But anyway, I know we need to pray for you right now Teresa that's what I would love love love to do so. Jesus, thank you for Teresa, thank you so much for her courage to call in and we pray for her heart all listless things to lose a son is unthinkable at 25 is even just really beyond our we thank you for Dakota. We thank you for his life and we thank you for what what you're going to do in Teresa's life. In the end we just pray that you would encourage her that you would provide for her family for her husband that you would make a way where there seems to be no way I thank you again for her courage to call in Jesus name I pray. Thank you, Teresa. So so beautiful so beautiful.
