The Tale of Two Trees, Part 3

Greetings fancy new listeners and welcome to the sound of pain. Sharon not thanking you for joining us today because we know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Today's message the tale of two trees begins in a beautiful garden. The original site of the tree of life today that garden meekness gone and the tree of life now stands in heaven because Adam and Eve disobeyed God and chose the wrong tree.

Their sin brought death to themselves and other progeny but the second Adam, Jesus Christ, God, son chose to die on the tree of death, to restore us to the tree of life. This is the incomparable story of the tale of two trees brought something I think I hear it is not like you, we might enjoy hearing this, this little book the little book is that of the New England primer. This was the first book that was put in the schools. In 1777, the New England, the kids and I guess kindergarten first grade whenever the grade was I don't know, but this is the first elementary school book I mentioned a moment ago how that we take a is for Apple and B's. Football C is for cat D is for dog kids, you know how to spell and well that's what this was telling this book is amazing.

But anyway, I'm not going to go to one point going to teach our kids the alphabet.

So we were all sinners in Adam. But in Jesus Christ we are all righteous. Maybe just give it to you like this. This whole chapter by one man, Jesus Christ. We are made righteous and we receive eternal life.

One man sin brought us the one man's obedience brings us life. One man sin brought judgment but one obedience brings grace and forgiveness. All that is in Jesus. Amen. You know, I just read this yesterday. A little track. I happen to pick up watches a pickup. It was in my file drawer and I was looking for some Holy Ghost serendipity because I was looking for something else and I came upon this little track and I read it I think it like it was just a little bit dawned on me that I used to know this. I used to I think… But I read it yesterday. I want to share with you. Maybe you already know it. How many of heard of Rembrandt, the painter Rembrandt is one of the most famous painters of the world, of all times and he did something very remarkable in one of his paintings that they could get. The pain is a title like they do books and he has a painting called the raising of the cross and it's Jesus on the cross, but how many know they would've nailed him to the cross on the ground with ropes they would pull them up.

So that's what his painting depicts pulling Jesus up on that cross. But he did something remarkable. Included amongst the crowd that was at the bottom of the cross. He included a self-portrait he painted himself in he stands out because he's wearing the blue beret all painters and artist were in his era gently with the 1600s painters blooper regular so we stand character amongst all the other ones that would've been at the cross in the first century. Amen. But he painted himself there with those who are crucifying Jesus was identifying sitting crucified Jesus is nailed into the tree, that we use.

Amen. But the good news is second Corinthians 517 and were on the preacher things become new new. Twice what you know it's not sin.

Sin was how they know that means conditional clause be we all inherit sin and death on hearsay and I don't think that's fair. It's not clear why inherit sin and death.

I don't think that's fair and that's what a lot of people in the world would tell you well know, I didn't send that much. I have to inherit that would be true would be true that it wouldn't be fair.

You were stuck in that condition with no way out.

I agree that would be unfair, but there is a way out. God gave away there is a way is Christ because the tree in order to restore what we met in relation we started off to get us back to paradise to get us back to the barn to get back.

He had to choose the tree of death, I mentioned about the fact that Pilate and Herod and the chief priest if you read all four Gospels. What happened that night before they crucified him.

They said he went to pilot the chief priests first. They first their little child, and they said he's a blasphemer. He said he's the son of God and with that's blasphemy. He's not the son of God. They taken the pilot knowing the better religion. I don't want to get into your religion. You take care of them.

You just judgment do whatever they said we can't because we've already decided he should die, and we don't have the authority to put in the death only you have the authority pilot you represent room you can put in the death we can't but we want to put to death and it's time to begin to talk to him first, Jesus wasn't answering him. But as time went on their conversation begin to develop and they were saying. He says he's the king of the Jews and he said are you a team.

Are you looking Jesus said if my kingdom was on this world and all of my disciples would fight for me and when he said that it appears pilot's heart with truth.

Jesus did not deny that he was the king he just said, my kingdom is not of this world and the holy fear of God came upon pilot and not only his wife doing this just a dream about him, nothing to do with him. And so now all this pressure what to do, what to do, the chief priests were insisting to be put to death and mentioned the fact that Jesus was from Galilee, now jurisdiction Jesus to Herod you know Herod was a puppy king over the Jews. That will put in place so that the Jews had someone between them in Rome. Amen. But he was an evil man.

Amen. He was a egomaniac he was so annoying, so paranoid, and his father was so paranoid around his father was the one that had all the babies killed Bethlehem, killed his own wife and son because he thought they would try to steal the throne.

These Herod, they were wicked people.

But guess what, when they brought Jesus to Herod was actually so much about Jesus and he did and he tried to get Jesus to do a miracle for me. Jesus didn't even open his mouth and say a word and after a while Herod got bored and said that the pilot so now Jesus is back to pilot what you know all this is happening overnight. If you are going to court in the middle of the night.

Amen. You don't have a lawyer you don't have witnesses you don't have anything. This is what they did to Jesus and a taken back to pilot. Amen. And I keep saying hi to my what did they say what was the coup de grace. You know you are not Caesar's brand, and when he heard Caesar and he thought about maybe he might lose his job if this guy really was trying to be a king. He could lose his position and political pressure. He ordered Jesus crucified. Amen. And so Jesus was sent back and forth between all of these but here's the thing I want you to know. After all, Jesus said no man takes my life. Mr. pilot take my life making inherit you my life.

Chief priest and high priest take my life in Greece still children back to the tree of life. I want you to understand the movies over the Easter time and did like it was too bad no no not this is your mission.

So if you change your mind. You do not father if you contact us if you can meet the time he went to his hometown to preach and afterwards they try to do too and they tried to put he disappeared times they tried to stone him throwing stones.

He disappeared because he was afraid to die. He came to die. He could not die any where but on the cross he redeemed the treatment because it is written. Referring back to me person is he who hangs on the train.

Jesus could not die anywhere but on the cross. Amen. And so he chose the tree so that we could have the tree of life and even hanging on that tree, and mutilated the nails in his hands and speeding holes in his head all they mocked him, and said you be the son of God, come down. The fact cross and save yourself and one of the thieves said if you be the son of God, come down off the cross and saying yours and save us to saying he would amen because he had done on the tree death.

In order for us to be restored to the tree of life. Amen.

He chose the tree. He chose that tree. Amen. And this morning, you have to choose you have to choose the son of God, you have to choose him as to be your savior. He's not really that one person. Not one person should die. Amen. And I don't care how good of a person you are a fine man fine woman, good husband, good wife with parent great employee all have sinned and there's only one savior.

Amen. And you have to confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, but he's offering to you this morning, the way of life. Make no mistake about it. Once you have come to know the truth.

That truth is gonna follow you all the days of your life whether it follows you and you embrace take amen it takes you to heaven to what we read in Revelation to that paradise of God, whether you rejected. Amen. The truth can set you free.

Jesus said, choose you this day whom you shall serve to serve. The Bible says spoken by Jesus himself. No man can serve two masters. When a loved one or hate the other going to clean the one and despise the other. You can't serve Jesus and serve the world to and if you're serving the world. You may not realize that before but your serving Satan is the Bible says he is the God of this world. He's the prince of this world when they took the diminutive bargain that they had made David to the devil and he's the prince of this world. Amen.

And if you're not serving Christ your serving the devil. And that's the truth you're serving Satan. Amen. And the Lord is calling you this morning to say, Tom and I will give you life and I'll give you life and that more abundantly. If you are not absolutely certain that if you were to die today that you would be ready to meet God that you would go to heaven to the paradise of God and you want to be certain you will for sure because we entered the city and the Bible makes it clear in the same book in the same chapter names are written in the entry to that city. Amen. And Jesus died a gruesome, excruciatingly painful death to give us life and that more abundantly a few know that you need to make things right with God why Rick had his bow would you raise your hand is a sister, Sharon, I want to make sure that I know the Lord today. Some of the most tragic words in the Bible are and he died lived to be 939 but he still died and he wasn't supposed to die. Why did he die because he chose the wrong tree, and he never ate from the tree of life. We can only imagine how superbly beautiful the garden of Eden was adorned with all manner of fruit trees and in the very heart the tree of life, bearing 12 different fruits yet added. Many never ate from this luscious tree.

They chose the wrong tree and sin entered the world through their disobedience.

Sin never travels alone. It always brings death and God had to banish them, lest they should eat from the tree of life and live forever in their fallen state. Today, that tree stands on the bank of heaven's Crystal see unattainable to fallen man but there is a second Adam, Jesus Christ, the son of God who came to him what the first Adam did, but in order to restore us back to that garden of innocence and the tree of life. He chose to die on the cross, the tree of death.
