Well I'm glad I must really enjoy this, will today's so Roy we going to be talking about things that that's in the news, current affairs and there is a lot to discuss. You know that's in the news. There's a lot of things with respect to how our country is going and you know we can we can probably sit here until we 90 years old. Talk about things I want out of the country and the Murray State. Current events may occur. Here kind of internal affairs at the time. I think the wrong thing, they might think about is you and show that brings back memories so you yeah so there's a lot going on that me well the first thing comes to Mongol unfortunates the tragedy down Miami right collapsing that condo facility complexed on this so so very soon yeah and you know I think there's a lot to be said about that. I've been looking at that for the past several days and I guess on the day that it happened. I remember texting you about it you saying check that out and course praying for the people because I saw one man. Today he was very frustrated he he said you know why we we got all these donations coming in, but we don't see anything going out to the victims so you know he is ready. I guess to this little I get his life back to some kind of normalcy. And when you talk about a massive thing like this. There's a lot of accountability. Yeah, that's an interesting thought right. Here's been less than two weeks in someone's already think compensation or money to be distributed. Those things just don't happen right away we saw how some of that went down last year, the funds being collected and could be accounted for in just questions coming up and got a few checks and balances in place right plus not to mention the most important things are still looking for survivors right there still trying. And now I guess is maybe more of recovery process. I think that this week they were talking about that it's a it's too dangerous at the moment recently for them to continue the search so much how the move ahead with that if they just got to make a very difficult decision that they safely can't continue to remove debris because the other half. That bill still standing in the attic. They said shifted quite a bit back in 18 or 19 to footings on that thing had made quite a bit of movement even during that time. It was eventually passed to the CO's continuum on the building but the very race that yeah and I think on the other side of that is accountability.

You know, we see him all the time we see the fires in the heat. You know, as a result, and in the Midwest send you know and as a result, your Siu seeing tornadoes and you know spawning often and then of course now we're into hurricane season, so we have a lot. I think that's going on and we have to understand I think as believers again that we always have to be at a point to acknowledge God daily for safety for his ability to protect us in the midst of all dress that's good for will daily prayer we talk about that meant should be part of your talking with God each day is to protect your family what to review the provisions of me. It goes down the list of we think about the things it causes strife in your life right is a worry about your children worry about your spouse whereabouts of the breaking down the house get sick. All those things are things that come at you and then these unexpected things is come out of nowhere like this tragedy in Miami area so great point submitted to the father every morning before you start your day. So I believe it's coming this fall in the theme of the movie is to teach people how to relate to God as the perfect father they've always longed for but never had any think about all the wounds we talked about the past, men who grew up without desert, as it were there but won't present in this can be a great movie. Yeah, I think you know anytime when you have a movie like this that have this type of reflection it it it should give us a sense of reinforcement in the sense of whether or not we are living up to the expectations and what the Scripture calls for us to do because I think when we are listening to the word of God. Are we here semi-talking about the word of God and we get joy.

We get happy when we hear it and we say hallelujah praise the Lord. But then after that's over. We just kind of fade back you know any and all the cares of the world began to start overpowering us again. You know and and we fail to understand that we are over commerce and so you know we allow these things are just kinda coming in and take us over whether is amazing in today's time that we've got a couple filmmakers who start out very very low budget to continue to bring out great family or in films Christian base films year after year because I think this is maybe 45 that they've done maybe a tad more so excited to see what this could be about looking forward watching that movie and it also did you know the other thing I like about that before you move on to is I like the fact that they use a lot of actors Stata and actresses that are not known. Yes, I like that because because you are not you, not necessarily coming for the big name right you there for the content. Absolutely you want you want to see the story behind it. You want to see. Maybe your life being lived out on the silver screen. If you can identify with some of the things that's in the movie yeah and some of these actors and actresses thereof very very new early career because some of the policy in the early films wasn't quite there little bit more of the with rightward guess that deliberate acting is that a more natural type of activity they continue to improve year after year. And speaking of films and movies and series the chosen have you seen any of the chosen series of what's to know I was intending to check that out when when our brother Rick Smith told me about that you know he said he had as a series out there and and I have still have yet to to go on an adventure and and to look at.

Yet the sin season to now of seen for five of the first season that great series just went past a million subscribers on YouTube but I mean there's tens of millions of people are watching it each week and it's an unbelievable series so you get a chance when you darling if what I understand from those who track it more fun with more precisely of biblically very sound unit and the obvious a little bit of the expansion around some the things the conversations which would've been your pretty is logical, maybe as part of the Scriptures go served with very sound in the just amazing job and just everyone I spoke into the scene, heard nothing negative about was quite remarkable in itself, that's good yet so will one of you heard about the quality act. Obviously, that we hold true with respect. You know, to our beliefs into the Bible yeah and and you know we know that people value things differently and we're not going all agree on the same subject matter but when it comes down to truth and there's only one who who can say that he is absolute truth. And of course that's God above so when when you talk about this particular act.

Roy you talking about individuals who really don't want to be held accountable to anyone at any goes back to this relative thinking you know I want my own truth. I want to stand for what I believe you can stand for what you believe. I won't impose it on you. You don't impose it on me but and and yet will try to live in this world happy and glad, but unfortunately you see the be world system has been blinded obviously by the enemy and giving individuals. These false hopes.

I would need to hold the Bible up and evaluate everything were trying to decide on everything that were trying to live out through the word of God and if it if it if it doesn't line up with the word of God and were followers of Christ. When you say this is not right is simply needs to be called out yet is when will you will need to call out and not be afraid or ashamed because we are we are simply stating what the word of God state site and not opinion and exactly not an opinion and we're not coming out to you know well, maybe that was a bit coming out, but we're not coming to a point of saying that we hate or dis-honor any group of people. It's just story short person or any person in person or group of people is just the choices that people make that are not lining up with the truth right in those choices to sin right based on our beliefs. What were God says no matter what the sin sentence on that's just the consequences are different at different, it can be different. Your consequence to know what type of sin in the middle of her what you done simple sin may not have your consequence and as a more severe sin.

I you kill somebody versus telling why it was so is just like degrees of punishment exile yet. You know it, depending on what you do in making the law, then your punishment will/consequently, it will be will be. When God called him to be the watchman he said look, if I if I tell you easy kill to go warn the people and you don't want them and then they die in their sins than their blood is going to be on your hands. But on the same token, if I tell you to warn the people you warned them and then they be disobedient to that warning, then a course of the blood will be on their own hands.

Should they perish in their sins. So God is is really really clear when it comes to things like that and you know, for example on Leviticus 18 and 22 unit talk about that you know a man should not lie with another man as he dual woman in things like this. So all of all of that when when we so when you talk about the quality actually a lot of individuals want to attempt to roll that over and say anything that I believe should be equal should be equal based on what the law states, but the law may not state that but that's the way that they are interpreting and of course it always comes down to the Scripture how you interpret what you read right and and they are things that people read into the Scripture does not. There will I we we talked about that several times as well were trying to make the church fit the world instead of just bring the world into the church but try to make the church be part of the world. Instead of letting the church, then separate be in the world but not of the world and that's what this will start to happen right as you start we condemned Scripture start misinterpreting it, or you start making this using fractions of Scripture to make it fit whatever mind my individual motive is it. We've often said you can rationalize anything in the human brain can I can definitely wrestle without the influence of the Holy Spirit as Satan got a play day in this field day in there to run around. All sorts of havoc and get your mind going places.

It should never go and once you do that and start playing in his ball field and start getting at down into the weeds of the matter then all of a sudden you know now that you you seeds of bitterness and wickedness have been planted and within us and now we're going out because the seeds have been planted and all of a sudden the taken root and now we're spreading the things that was planted in us this you know that we allowed to grow, so will let me ask you something you as as a black man pastoring brother in Christ. What do you what's your take on this concept or the terminology woke the work culture as it relates to biblical guidelines and standards. I think there's a lot of obscurity when it comes to that particular term it it's it's almost like the cancel culture yeah you know when when I hear that and that's the latest greatest terminology just being thrown around. Now, when when I hear that and then I listen as people talk about this cancel culture. You know I start getting all of these different opinions with respect to how it's defined and see if if I'm thinking of how certain things are defined one way your thinking on how certain things I do find another way and I think we have a contradiction and so if we have a contradiction, then there is no agreement, just like Amos three and three says how can two walk together except they be in agreement. So there is no agreement when you have contradictions in how things are interpreted but this this woke coculture Roy expand on that little bit that's just it. You not hear the terminology all the time and chocolate diving all the stuff that is going on with the work culture and its think what the Dr. yourself was saying when these articles renews that this the caption was that churches have bought into the work culture of not taking biblical stand i.e. which tells me that in his mind's eye. Churches are fallen into worldly thinking. Instead, the biblical think whatever the whatever the topic may be in and we can go down the list. I guess of things in the churches got no sidetracked on over recent years, so and it says this a result of weak foundations within the church and the church is avoiding the obvious topics not talk about things of today that are important for not standing up for beliefs that should matter is as follows of Christ, and I think that was the whole point so I don't know if it's just but your earlier comment you are used to safe it feels good do it mindset units just I will do it my way. As long as I'm not hurt anybody and maybe that's what he's referring to in this particular segment was that the churches are not taking a biblical stand on things and they're just adapting or allowing ways of the world to be in into the church so that their world is influence in the church letters church influencing the world exactly and and yeah because that's that's an abstract term will culture so if I were to comment on that. I would say that the main thing that we have gotten away from as the church is foundational teaching of the Scriptures we are all about entertaining people instead of teaching them solid foundation foundational doctrine so and if you go to places where you got the rockstar preacher you know who can really get up and jazz the crowd up as opposed to a pastor who just get up and speak on the Scriptures every day. Then when you walk into the two churches you'll say oh this is a lively church.

But see, I beg to differ.

I would say that church is dead because they have no foundation. Yeah, and the church where the foundational preaching is ministered and received by the people.

They may be quiet in there and not jazzing it all up with the rockstar preacher and they are more biblically sound and can defend their faith above and beyond individuals who are, you know, being tossed about by by this this rockstar environment and and they come out and say wow, we really had a good time pastor was all point today while the spirit was in him but was it the spirit. That's my question.

Was it really the spirit. When you see these did jump in and shout and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. I don't I don't ride us in and say while you are against the Holy Spirit moving no I'm not what I'm saying is they are things that's going on in the church as pastor Youssef says there's things going on the church that we have gotten away from him. As a result, people are being brought into the church as a result of a lifetime right so it's worldly standards talk to the person we know that's a problem. We know that is, because the Bible tells those called Lord, Lord, you get to heaven in the senior senior Satan once told us avoid word.
