I got a question for you had yet ever had somebody in your family that just really really got under your skin and it we was on TV.

I would say raise your hand and let me see the hands out there folks who really had that family member who just under your skin and you know they want to tell you everything that you're doing wrong and tell you nothing about what you're doing right. I know you got some folks out there in your family is like that. So on this segment Roy we going to talk about family, frustrations, where this goes right in line with our last week so right with the family dysfunctions as were joking with you that I will comment somewhere in the next few weeks. Family, frustrations that covers all the bases right children get frustrated parents. Parents get frustrated children. Wife gets frustrated with husband. Husband never get frustrated with someone out there would say that they all get frustrated with the daughter-in-law absolutely son-in-law and son log is frustrated with long goes on and on CS it's happened and it does happen and see what we have to understand is born again believers is we have to understand because we we talk about that in the opening of the show God assigned roles for men, but there is also God assigned roles for children there is. God assigned roles for wives. There's got assigned roles for the aged women. There's got assigned roles even for offices within the church, deacons, bishops, pastor's teachers, there's there's there are roles and responsibilities in which God has assigned each one of these so we have to understand as born-again believers, what is my role in my household. What is your role well if you're listening to this, ask yourself what is your role, that's right. And and so if you don't know what your role is. Let me help you, because God God first says in Genesis chapter 2 verse 18 he says is not good for man to be alone, so therefore I'm going to make him a helper that scum parable to him so compatible in the old King James it says helpmeet so when God made woman and then Adam named her and he also got all this responsibility naming all the animals and such. And all these things so right thing God was setting, man up in his role as a the responsible head of what would soon to be the first family and when I told my first time it went so well. I don't want to say present Biden Phil recently couple times going upstairs so adamantly fail, but not quite the same.

Okay I will let them go so so what what does God say, in reference to children and we look at Scripture the command now notice now listening audience. This is a command is not a suggestion. That's number one.

God commands the parents about household. In Proverbs 22 and six it says train up a child in the way that they should go back when they are old they were not depart from it. It is their faith. A man so they they won't they won't stray.

They won't go. I will permanently destroy well exactly exactly think they will permanently straight because they'll stay anchored right now. If a person is staying in the word of God, who just God broke through the apostle John in first John chapter 2 and verse five he says that who ever whosoever keeps my word, the love of God is going to be proof perfected in him.

In other words, matured, so I submit to the last statement that you made that as long as we are submitting ourselves to the Holy Spirit of God. We are yielding ourselves to perfection and will continue to walk. Now we are not perfect, but we are yielding ourselves to the one who was perfect within us. So as we yield ourselves to that perfect perfect person who dwells within us in the form of the Holy Spirit. Now we are walking in perfection and as long as we were walking in perfection. We don't sin because you can't sin and not sin. At the same time you going to be one of the other right and back to the raising of children will work in mind Scriptures, but not exasperated your children right to anger so the fathers have a response as do the mothers not to exasperate the children to bring to the point of anger as part of that raising up the knowledge of Jesus Christ exactly because that's Ephesians chapter 6 verses one through four. It says children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right and then he goes on to say that this is the first commandment with promise with promise. God promises that you will do well. Children and that you will live long on the earth. So those are the two blessings that come from the fact that if a child honors their parents. God say you want to do well and you want to live a long time but that's only if you honor C so it's conditional right. His condition was not not conditional, so conditional says that this is what you have to do in order for God to do this, then he goes on to say fathers don't provoke your children to wrath. Don't do it. Don't don't go in and say you you are just the dunderheads. You're just a nobody and your sewing all of these negative things into your child you're not building them up. Obviously you turn them down. Roy goes back to some of the things we talked about the past. This function that creates dysfunctional child and starts to act out starts to behave in a way that's not honoring you as the father or mother also not wanting to have my father exactly and so he says don't don't provoke them to wrath, but he says bring them up in the learning and admonition and other translations assist teaching teaching and admonition so so fathers you are supposed to be teachers of your children.

Teachers of the Scriptures because your children are looking at you and believe me, if you do something outside of character and then going to let you know right away dad, remember when you said this, remember when you said you did this as a child and efficacy. If I did that a child that's because I didn't understand where I was at the point but I didn't mean you have to do it right. See with the they'll use that is what is the likelihood that fall. They are failing to use it as an excuse in a heartbeat. So will for someone listeners out there today and the speaking to my heart about these things as a listener, and this is how you don't know how to do that work is that individual is that's that's part of the problem right with men of today want trained up properly and they're not quite sure where to go get the training well you know there are a lot of parents who simply drop their children off to church and they expect the church to give the children what they need spiritually but you you you gotta come back home eventually. So if the father and mother are not sawing anything that's that is fruitful to that child's life.

Then the child will not grow spiritually because being at church, Sunday school, and participating in Sunday school or events is not enough because they're only there for a few hours, but there with the parents a long time so you have to responsibility will lie on the parents because after you depart this life and you stand before Jesus Christ. If you born again believer God. He's he's going to say look I gave you these children. What did you do in order to so into them so they could become my representatives and follow me, and do those things in which I commanded husband I gave you wife. What did you do with the wife that I gave you. How did you sow into her life because in in Ephesians again Roy in chapter 5 verses 22 through 29. God gives commands to the wife into the husband and he tells the wife to love her husband, as unto the Lord because he said you note this, this man, he is the head of the house for the husband is the head of the house, just as Christ is the head of the church and he is the Savior of the body so so so your husband is is your Savior, in the sense because what God is blessing to Paul is to set up this parallel comparison to Christ and the church and what the husband supposed to be doing in his household with his wife because again God says we are kings and priests.

He says that over in revelations five and 10 he says again over revelations one and six.

We are kings and priests and then we are heirs and joint hairs. He says that in and Romans chapter 8 so we we have all of these responsibilities and yet will we are failing because we are attempting to look at our own needs, rather than looking at the needs of the individuals with our family yet.

I acceded to will my question is back to what were chatting about midstream. There was if the man's man sitting here listening today to us talk and he says hey I want to do better and I want to train up and I want to lead properly where what does he do where does he get the answers with the front with you go okay first first thing he needs to do is what we're giving you is were giving you verses that talk about your role okay so so the wife that your role is as is stated in Ephesians chapter 4, he goes on to talk about husbands. Husbands, love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her, so this is what you need to do. You need to love your wife.

Just as Christ again that parallel so you go you go to the word but you have to start with gathering your family together will start by praying with them.

Gotta be in Scripture. First we talk about some of what we call blocking and tackling some of the fundamental things men were not assuming anything here because we seem willing to work with hundreds of men over the last several years. We know some of the challenges that men go through and goes back to conversations of the past men were not trained up properly and that's why were in the shape ran today with a lot of the issues were doing with the divorce rates noticing some men were not trained up properly in the biblical sense and what God intended for us to do so, will that was great leader answer the question continues on them. What else can I do so you gotta get in Scripture need to really I guess process and digest the Scripture and take it a piece of the time it's about qualitative reading, not quantitative reading right so that you get in there and you start. Let God speak to you through the Scriptures exactly and get yourself sick.

You have to get yourself around solid men who are foundational E rooted and grounded in the word of God.

Right. That's where it has to begin because if if you read something you don't have an understanding of what is being said. They have all kinds of Bibles out here today to really break things down you know in inputting it in language in today's language where men can understand these things so it's that the Bible today is written in such that when you read it. It's not like you're reading the King James version in which God blessed me to study and and to learn from foundational E and Bill, my foundation on when I was growing up if you will, into the church. So that's where you gotta go, man. You have to you have to say if I want to do better. Where do I start, get yourself around a strong group body of believers and might I add TA W CMM is probably a good place to start and welcome everybody there.

In fact, absolutely. You know a talking walking Christian men's ministry.

This is what were all about.

We all about building up men and making men to understand the things that they may not be getting at home or may not be understanding. There's all kinds of resources with the ministry and outlets where you can go to get information to ask questions and and all these things like that but if you don't understand your role in this is what we given you so when you go to the Scriptures you don't understand something, then go get some understanding from your pastor or minister or or leader of the men's group sit down, get some understanding and what what is the Scripture telling me if I don't have full understanding. There's all kinds of other resources out there that you can go to to get an understanding of specific topics of the Bible and things like this, but once you get in there and and you are committed to doing the were reading the word and doing what the word says now you become a active participant of the kingdom, believers active participant. That's a great phrase active participant as opposed to nonactive you got a lot of and I think you like using the term sitting on the sidelines is exactly and active participants. Great will men if you're listening to us today and you're asking yourself ever done a good job and I'm sure that you have with the best content of tub do the best you can return to you some tools that will help you go to the next level that takes you off of the sideline become an active participant to get into the game and go from Savior being saved into discipleship because your role is not to sit and grow and be by yourself. Your role as a follower of Christ is to do what make disciples. That's right.

And you can't do that unless you get out you got to interact with man of a yoga group body of believers will rooted and grounded and you have to understand by being around these men you begin to talk to him begin to reach out to them and you you you might even get one of these. I think the general cause of the battle buddy thought about you know so you get you get in there and you can get your battle buddy and say hey if I'm struggling on something.

Can I give you call, you know, and is just like we we have with this study that we're doing now, which is a great study call maximizing manhood and it's a really really good study and so the fact that in and I'm glad God gave you a vision Roy, because you know with the small groups and you know I'm a big small group participant. I love small groups. I think small groups build the body of Christ, bigger, stronger and faster then any type of environment you will being if you enter a church of 500 or 5000 you know because you don't get that intimate interaction and understand men's problems. From their perspective. And if you going through something like that. They may have things that they could share with you that can help you in your walk and you can reciprocate and do likewise with both her great friends and smugglers can see the benefits of the part that we are in small groups and it's an amazing thing men if you'd not been a part of that small group of fellowship. Jesus had the 12 Then Had Dinner Cir. right small group of men three or four men that were around all the time that he trusted had high-level conversation right so if Jesus saw the need to have 12 men around him that should tell you something about where we need to be as men of God. We can't do it ourselves. We have to have people pray for strength of that opportunity share what's going on with the brother who can hold us accountable gloss a prayer for us when were in the middle storm could lift her family up with family members ill or having that dysfunction going on the family so many different things could be illustrated about this personal relationship. Men, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having an intimate relationship healthy relationship with another man that you consider Natalie absolutely and that we talk quite often about that. For those of us that the two sports have been through military weather happens to be. There's a camaraderie that can't be equaled in the in the in the natural, it has to be something that's in the supernatural and that God will bless that he will honor that will truly honor that oftentimes we we say we don't know how to do the things that's okay. We often say to her men. If you'll start walking in the natural, you don't have to have all the answers, you don't have to know exactly how to do everything he will reveal that to you will actually start studding the bow he had no idea how God was going blessed as I recall you watch will like a Rolodex was our story goes, often told Scripture that God has blessed him in a way that most people will never have that the benefit and that is blessed will dissuade weeds on the will with will start to serve him will then set out know and that's how God is going blessed me December apply myself and start step in international demand and that's what God is doing God's blessing to manage if you are listing women as well in young men and young young ladies if you're listening and you think God speaking to you that you need to start doing something that you don't know where to go or how to get started just literally just start walking. Choose a church to the body of believers go somewhere and start to fall. I'm going to step out in faith going will allow you to work through me and in me and take me to the places I need to go because one things for sure. If you're sitting on the sidelines of your sin steel won't be of use or you we are his foot soldiers. We don't have to have all the answers, and so many times of what's meant and women in their lives.

They distort Stephanie God do some amazing things through those individuals a man so you know and Roy it's it's it just brings the mind as you were saying that we do we do fall and there's nothing wrong with falling because you're still in this natural body so you going to slip you going to fall down. And God tells us, you know, he says in Hebrews chapter 12 verses 14 to 15. He says pursue peace with all men and in that pursuing. He said you do that with holiness by which no man shall see the Lord now, here's the here's the part that we really need to listen to because he said last any one fall short of the grace of God and then they allow the root of bitterness to come in and when the root of bitterness comes in.

He said many will be defiled.

You don't want your conversation to be a conversation of defilement you wanted to exhort you wanted to uplift you wanted to edify you wanted to build people up rather than tearing them down because we got all common mechanisms out there that tear people down already. We don't want to do that we want to build people up and there comes a time in all of our lives to where we, as born-again believers we are going to say to ourselves. Lord, I want to do more but I seem to be doing less. So having a desire to do more.

Roy but we find ourselves doing less hot as a man got some like that. Well, think it goes back to the map the mind to write.

The mind is we've got to renew it every day. We can rationalize and convince ourselves that we don't have the time that were to target were just not going to make a difference in those negative thoughts come you got merely taken captive and turn right back over to the pharmacy.

This is for you, Lord, you deal with this.

I'm on track and start step and get back step and start step select those days or two days for those with played football doing as you did not want to get out of bed after about the fourth day because your slap worn out just worn out. But you knew you had to know to get to what the ultimate goal was no different walk with God back to the joy joy comes because you know and have the peace that he loves you.

He's got you taken care of and he will cradle you always doesn't mean it's going to be non-stormy dozens we clear blue skies all the time and the happiness is just that emotional swings of the bell having set in seventh heaven is the whole thing so that's what it's all about will and in my heart says that God is good against blessed me to understand this even more with the trials of been through my lifetime. Is that it doesn't matter how hard the trial is a means of tempering you a little bit more for the next step so that when you meet that man is going to going through the same thing you with the you build a share from a point of experience like we talk about quite often verses from the point of an opinion. As you can speak to have loved you healthcare G through this journey and how the storm was settled even in the midst of not be able to see the sunlight because you trust me and you allowed me to carry you through this so that all build to share with America will Hardy, this is holy just lost a loved one just done this thing jubilant that you could share with the next person and that's what's so important about this journey. Men and women we just we just trust that you're not using us to share some recursion with the challenge and take it to the next level. Don't ever be satisfied in your walk. Do not be satisfied.

If you have distressed you haven't arrived though. It's a constant journey will not finish. Basically just the Lord causes read your Bible every single day. Yes read it every single day.
