What About the Teenagers?

Now we want to talk little bit set the clock back just a little bit want to talk about the teenagers and what's going on with the other young folks in schools today in their churches and communities in Pat, why don't you just kind of listless the strategic question. What do you think is the biggest challenge that the that age group is facing right now. What will they live in a help because the resources about I'm telling know aren't going when in reality they all have an angle on so that what's important when you're angle is the please glorify God in your motivation is not self-centered God. Anything else and there is something there wanting to get from the teenagers.

In other words to manipulate Emmett -controlled right and and so that is the big issue when we have dealt with our own will and our own desires because the will will always looking to get the best deal. I mean I hateit in any time you and I situation where else to go buy a car you want about one you know like 5000 over the retail value right to get something even as a bargain should negotiate your exactly and so so you just have that innate desire to do that. So if you are some some group, whatever it may be, you're going to try to get the most people to follow you and follow your your line of thinking your mindset. Your paradigm that only by Scott at angle so when I say oh that Christian community has an angle. Yeah our ankle is that everyone walks freely and what God created them and in their mission and calling in life and that doesn't mean that all my appetites for my pleasures know is going to be about God will accomplish. It doesn't don't know really I'm starving for so when you share that beautiful absolute hindmost that comes from the word of God – that's brilliant. The main thing I know it right here in the Scriptures is the best book that was written is the best seller of all time. You think your best photos and put it on there anymore because it's always number 13 locked down payment on and so you put it on because it's always the best seller in everybody's loaning an ongoing for that spiritual nourishment that only the Scriptures can get. In fact, there's a neuroscientist and currently read the Scripture that hydroplaning like everything in it like being like well and so when they hear the word of God and eight and they see it in and they can see an example of it or they can, and in their in their world mandate that there's a starving like a I can't wait to get in the bus they wanted and gorge myself and eat it all up your about me like you had a good old buff a lot some more than others.

People are trying to rewrite that right now when you got somebody like David Barton and wall builders to study the actual writings in the transcript forefathers you know some of it out there that they got some other angle that they are trying to get you to believe or think it says and what it really did say in what their hearts intentions were wasn't about about a race. It was about serving God as a country writing about, you know, slavery. It was about serving a greater purpose in good even do they need to get rid of that. Get rid of slavery, but they the country felt to start off right in order for it to go there because those original documents is how we got that much great nation and and we have the most freedom of everyone and there is people trying to subservient everyone in this day and time. We do deal with some systemic issues and things like that but we can we can do that based on the fact that we know it self-evident that all all are created equal and eyes of God and have given that MAV will go right to pursue life, liberty, and you know and and walking that so so that's that's what the next generation is longing for so much. Tell me, tell me what's the truth you guys back up in the sky but he said they struggle with. What do they believe you said there so many people you guess the divine for their attention.

When you talk to these young folks that are in high school today and you have time. What are the things that are hearing the untruths I should say in the and how much exposure to the trousseau that getting one of the untruths that you're seeing in today's time of one pilot all is just note your moral value is different than somebody else moral value somewhere else. Not in doubt, they don't believe like 10 Commandments is for all mankind is not just for some demographic so at some point in time in history if it is for all of history writing. This was great about the word of God is written by the one created mankind stands testing every every nation tried and Tongan English just that – the biggest fundamental issue is, there isn't that God is made up that that is a cultural saying and so there's different difference your God might be called Buddha errors might be called Jesus Christ. Yours might be Mohammed, but it sure truth and if it works for you then that's great. You know, but one when it comes down to it. This is a reason why Jesus said I am the way, the truth to life and no one comes to the father but through me.

That was his words well and as we know that there is only one truth right so only one truth. So let's let's go back to that that no absolute truth. And that's with the been tossing David Barton. Folks if you have a note that David Barton is really need to look it up. I had the pleasure of hearing them of the men's retreat a couple years back and just what an amazing amazing ease walking scholar and he understands the Scripture. He understands the intent of the founding forefathers.

In fact, I think Pat Grenfell probably he's the single largest of his organization's single largest private holder of all documents by the founding fathers in those early years. If I remember correctly, incidentally, are you can't believe it will have markedly more. I know well then that's truth getting put out there versus an opinion and see that's what most people don't realize illegal is 29 of our founding fathers signed the Constitution right that weren't at least what the school with a seminary school. I don't know if they will serve actual study focus of study was theology and religion but they were rather at a theology summit/seminary school for member correctly in the that's working we discussed so far away from a pet to be quite honest in the back to the young folks are, how can you and people to listen to how and how do you try to impact the young folks that you're dealing with these teenagers and preteens that you're engaged with one of the weekly basis. How do you get the message to the and are they open to that message. To that direction, but how you get there so important are the disciplines that you practice diligently every day is her physical, mental, emotional, spiritual disciplines right now is that the heartbeat of of walking out your faith or walking out your journey to be going from good to great. It's the only way to go to a heart of service. It's all about me. That's not the kind of teammate you want is gotta be about how to we walked just like today. It's not about one particular person or or or race or anything.

It's about us, it's about Lee about the nation about all of us together in it together and so that's what's so important that we get to that place of of you know were part of all mankind is working together and when were not working together got a call that out and listlessness worked out.

Let's repent or change your mind of the direction you're going and let's get together back a part of all, you know, the whole human race. Everybody together, working together and so those are important so there's a four place that we try to share now the last three are very very important one is discernment you so along the way, if you're not hitting the mark got a look at the man here and use discernment. Have your senses trained to discern what is good and evil, right and wrong, and so that way you're able to, you know, just like a baseball player looking at see is that a striker ball and if the umpire because of the strike is not his opinion is trying to call it over the plate. Sometimes knowing I think the blind on the call it, but is not. It is not history try to do trying to figure out what the ball the strike is it is something that's in the strike zone. It should got it to start her tail and the same thing in life you gotta see what's coming at you. Is this the strike that I can swing at or is it a blog I need to let go by and… So important and then the other is destiny. You're always on play away from destiny and what is your moment that you're preparing for its you know it could be your wide receiver. He's preparing for this moment to make the winning catch the helpless team when it carried off the field on the shoulders of his teammates the ultimate destiny is sharing the love of Christ. Some eternal destination is forever altered because you share with them the love of Jesus and now their new creation in Christ, so that so big.

But it all doesn't make sense if one final thing we share with them is about the grace. The grace of God we call grace arrayed don't have the grace can keep up the pace is like pushing a car without gas in it so you can have the goals you have all this together but just like Adam at all the systems together linger before God just lifeless, but to God. And now you're back to the very first thing of direction again so they work altogether that God created you for a purpose and a reason. What is that reason. And so – so important for us to share with the next generation just waiting play. They can run those in their school life and their relationships, their scorched life in their life or drama life or whatever they loved it. I can find God's direction and it and then diligently plaster disciplines. Inspired by his Spirit filled with the spirit to fulfill their destiny which they were called thereby, why am I here what am I doing here what am I supposed to do what was created for you. Just you know if you're just a bunch of sales that were thrown together you're an accident you're just evolving.

That's the dehumanization of the secularized gloss and the more we secularize our community the more dehumanizing it gets. And there's going to be more George Boyd skill that's that's what's going to be sad but if we turn to God. That's not gonna happen because every soul is precious inside.
