Discretion is advised previously on lantern rescue. They are clueless about the way the world boards and even some of our highest. You know they have no idea how war they don't know the order they don't understand a lot of places here's what I can understand as a Christian people are suffering.

They should be using their platform not to do that here. Talk about how to help people how to love these people. What groups are doing right will the American Christian response should be totally about welcome to lantern risk ministry program educated to bring light into the darkness of human trafficking.

It's time to light the way to freedom. This is lantern rest.

We tell the stories we talk about rest, we empower you to do something about it said that it not be said I was silent when the lantern rescue. My goodness, what God has orchestrated this year as just one of my personal heroes. This is so, yes, and Abby Mercy, and so got some questions that you want to sell an opportunity left and yeah well I for people who don't know, I am. I worked at for eight years my life and start out volunteer and eventually worked my way out to run the clinic where I started volunteering and got involved as a college kid believe the right thing believe that with helping men and and to change. I guess my last year working there. I think that the higher a rose up in the organization, the more I started to see what was really going on.

You know that we were really selling abortion and that no abortion wasn't something that we were trying to keep state legal and rare as everybody was saying yeah get out started a talking point at the time so I just I was feeling more and more uncomfortable. That last I was there I didn't know I got called into participate in a live ultrasound-guided abortion and it was then that I witnessed 13 legal baby fighting and struggling for his life, and I knew then that there was life in the land harassing any trails that I knew that I was on the wrong side of this debate ended up leaving Planned Parenthood intentionally joining the pro-life movement. And ever since then I've just been speaking out. I ran to nonprofit organizations in the pro-life movement and it's really been.

I mean it's God story. Amen.

Always tell people God loves a good conversion story and you see that all over the Bible and so it's been a real blessing and you know one of the reasons that I wanted to write my new book, fierce mercy was just to really know what I want to Planned Parenthood I helped to facilitate over 22,000 abortion and had two abortions of my own and there's people all the time and Christians, well-meaning Christians that say to me how you live with something like that.

How do you live with and how do you find forgiveness for that and I always tell them well because God is so and so when I think about how big God is when I think about how big his mercy really my scan one fiber pen once I asked for forgiveness so small and there are so many people out there in the world who are really struggling to understand, to accept God's forgiveness to accept his mercy and then to translate that into their own light and I felt my whole life is been just one exercise after experiencing God's mercy and though I thought you know I want to talk about that and I really wanted to showcase just how good God is and so that was really wide but that bucket out the idea of immersing yourself right there in a timely live in your struggling to not identify with the things that we've done wrong you now and until creating that identity in Christ. It does require an element of mercy think it's so important in industry weren't specifically human trafficking, trafficking, you know, we see that on the front lines and women are coming out of its relation there struggling with that identity and fear.

When you see the impact of a correlation between human trafficking and sex trafficking. Specifically in abortion DC that paralleled together to see the commonality there. It it's really shameful what happened inside of the abortion industry and EEM really that good harboring of abusers and it's done under the guise of nonjudgment or see I member watching in an undercover video one time and it was it was a woman going into a Planned Parenthood facility and she was posing as a 13-year-old and she was going in and I believe in this video she was with an actor who was posing as a pampered trafficker and he was supposedly 31 and she says this out loud, you know to to the clinic worker and she says well on 913 and 31 and in the worker says all their look, there's no judgments. She admits that you know she's a sex worker and you know the one never forget any of the worker is leaning up against the exam table and she just puts her hands up and she said oh there's no judgment here. I don't need to know I don't need to know I don't need to know his age and I in that moment. As I was watching that video.

It was like it was like I was almost seeing myself in that moment because that really that is the culture.

Yes of the abortion industry that don't ask the question because if you if you asked the question you really have a responsibility to do something about it and we don't want that responsibility now, so don't ask the question, don't ask. You don't have to do anything and we don't want culpability you want the responsibility and show. I remember I mean II remember and I told the story before I have written about it. I remember a woman who came in to our facility repeatedly.

Repeatedly every few months she came in and she was definitely a victim, trafficking, and I still remember her name, I everything about her face on the street.

I remember what she looked like, and she would come in beaten up every time she came in she had a a new sexually transmitted infection and she I remember one time she came in with her trafficker and I are moving so appalled that he had the nerve gas to come with her and and so I sent something to my boss at the time and I said my gosh here don't don't need a cold or something. I mean we just send her back out right to him right and my boss said oh you know why she's she's a big girl if she wanted to leave, she would and she said even if we called and even if they separated them. Today she would just go back there was no help for her. We never helped her and it's just such a lie that the abortion industry that Planned Parenthood that these facilities are there to help women. They are not there to help women. They are there to ask weight then they are there to manipulate than they are there to there there to manipulate them at their most vulnerable time and take advantage of vulnerable women, these victims are really some of the most vulnerable women that walk through these facilities and they don't care they don't get they don't try to protect them. They hundred percent protect their abusers and they will protect their abusers. Every single time is so hard to fathom that you see it right in front of you and there's nothing done about it.

You now need in the industry and its so happens what's which really frustrating is that you got all the celebrities will do all of this work rate and they weathered a really doing the work, but they know they donate money to pay you whatever which absolutely any noted the money to do the things right that you're going to jail, but they did. You all of this to you and all were an end sex trafficking working for you to do this big talk and then in one breath in the next breath I like no you are you are supporting sex trafficking.

If you are supporting Planned Parenthood now that is a statement to be made) and they don't even willing to recognize it and recognize and you know if they really want to get serious about this. If they really want to get serious about ending sex trafficking. They will completely stop their support of the abortion industry. You know, I think that funding to get consent if the aftercare of taking care of these girls that are struggling with this. Not an easy decision to be made in the situation and when you have someone there sitting beside you in this case, particularly trafficker himself.

There's not an no matter where that girl felt, our state stood within her own self, but in her heart she had no voice now in that moment. Her voice was taken from her by someone. Thank the Caddo Parish and him sitting) can only imagine how much better would it be to have the opportunity to sit and step in and state elected an opportunity for great opportunity for mercy and I think that that is such a big part of that when you see these girls in this industry you know many of them don't feel like I have a voice they don't like to have the opportunity to change their situation. So I think that empowerment of women can help bolster this from being an ongoing situation that continues to have repetitive behavior and how you view the way our job is what I know I you sure you want to write up international rescue aberrations for people suffering from human trafficking and specializes in sending you a special operation of law enforcement and intelligence personnel department with close visions and assist them in reading specialized combat on genocide, terrorism is a surety they offer services free of charge. Human trafficking is relevant to the second largest elected from estimated billion dollars was developed rapidly to combat trafficking and operates wood frame international network of women and children, such labor slavery and facilitates gearing up for operations right now and see how you can support the following program contains sensitive content description is no episode with God so blessed really blessed to have Abby Johnson, our friend with volunteer rescue about what I mean about the role between what I really would like to do the show but I was out of seeing the connection between abortion clinics in such trafficking like oh my goodness, but I guess when you actually been there. You get a chance to see that with absolutely no I think it's important for us to capitalize on the fact that like your book that shares mercy that mercy and grace abound, and so can you tell us the entire listeners even better sitting on the side of maybe they have been back and have been in a situation where they've made the choices and they're not out of them and they are struggling with identity recover from that how he truly engage and walk into the mercy yell.

I feel like in life there are all of these crossroads that we come to an Lee make decisions every time we come to one, you know, we either choose a path of righteousness. We choose the path of Christ or which you sent and for me I had hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of those crossroads in my life and and even leading up to working in the abortion uniting go to sleep one night and then wake up working the abortion rate.

I mean, it was a lot that led to lifestyle changes and things that led to that decision right and every time we choose that path of sin every time we go down that fork in the road. Our heart becomes a little more hardened and the Bible talks about how God can turn our heart of stone into a heart of flesh, but only he can do that and so you know I had to ask him to do that.

I had this moment where I saw this truth in front of me and I was like oh my gosh what what what I do you know what I do with this right and then here I was another fork in the road right and I had very easily said no it wasn't what I saw, maybe you know what maybe maybe it was on the maybe it was just a reflex.

Maybe he didn't really feel that abortionist really wasn't. I could have justified what I I could have chosen fork of sin again but I didn't indict moments I chose to follow God and because of that because I cried out to him.

He then did the work. So he's the one that turned my heart of stone into a heart of flesh. And it was hard, very hard after working there for eight years after participating. All of those abortions and mean it was at my heart was very very hard and then he took time. I mean honestly how you heal from something like that. How do you how you kept God's forgiveness.

How you forgive yourself. Well, it took time I had to practice and waning well you know I just had to come to a decision I had to come to a knowledge that every day that I wake up is a gift from God and I make two different decisions when I woke up in the morning I could choose to live in my past. The place that Satan controls the place that I cannot change rate can change and you really can't control the future either. I can control the past and I can't control the future.

The only the only thing that I can control right now and that's why God wants us to live right here in the present. He wants us to live right here with him in the present and she can use our past, for his glory. He wants to do lately you know what to live and identify as our sin to live and identify with what he's done with our end so you practice. I had to consciously wake up every morning and say all right, you live today you know you live in my past emotional wall around and feel sorry for myself and Seo my sins stupid and God can never forgive me.

And you know drink a bottle wine and soak in the tub all day. Feel terrible for myself or am I going to get up and say God use this day. Yes, use this day no matter what comes I'm here for, and I'm here for you and honest some days my drink a bottle wine in the beginning. Some days you know I just wall around the really bad myself specially in the beginning.

Some days there wasn't a good day. But eventually after making that decision for so many days it didn't have a decision in the market wasn't a decision I just wake up in the morning and I would say were some of the living God's grace. Of course I want to live in his mercy. Of course I don't want Satan to control my life. Of course I don't want him to remind me of my past. I don't want.course I want to live for Jesus right here and right now I just became really natural. And so that's how my identity. You know my identity is in Christ, my identity is is and what he has done for me and that's really what you mean he wants us to be free of regrets yes and yelled and wants us to be free of any bondage of our past and he doesn't want us to be called by arson transparency is so vital because you know we do have so many survivors and family feel that I'm sure I listening that really meet our lives are controlled, sometimes by the things that we done in our path but the sins that we feel are too big for God to take a hold up and do something with that God, now and in your life is evident of that and it is such an honor to have you even say that be that transparent with our listeners with another someone listening and that needed to hear. They are not defined by their path. They are not defined by their failures and by their sins. In fact, they are defined by a holy good father that has worked for them will be accomplished and that's just part of the story.

Yeah, yeah, we as Christians sometimes we do a pretty bang up job of defining people by their's absolute and because of doing that, you know I don't walk up to people and Johnson I use run abortion clinic. That's not that's not my identity yes but you know sometimes Christian we can each other and by our past instead of really identifying each other and who we are in Christ and and we really need to be elevated each other that way. Not bringing up what Satan did get that lighting getting dog going on as you live in their future. Give us all hope was said but I'm now I'm curious what is Johnson hoping for now as you're moving forward. Now that is given. Certainly we are looking forward to the Supreme Court decision that should be coming out anytime between you know now in July. We are hoping and feeling optimistic that really weight will be overturned, which means that you know the half of the states in the US. Abortion will become illegal by that also creates a battleground in every single state.

And so it can be even more of a fight than what we had ever seen and and you know abortion is is really a sacraments to the left. It's not just a procedure is not just about women's rights mean this is a abortionist child sacrifice just like we see in the Old Testament right we just call it something more palatable. Today we call it women's rights or reproductive justice or whatever, but were talking about the same thing that they were doing with Malacca and Vail writes the same thing and when we start removing sacraments from them.

I've been telling people it's it's going to get real biblical in here working to start seeing spiritual warfare. Unlike we had ever seen before and so you people of faith, get ready. They need to start arming themselves now. People need to start praying prayers against spiritual warfare they need to start praying prayers against the enemy, because if you are pro-life. If you are a person of faith, the enemy will come after your family. That's where the enemy attacks the most is our family, our children, so you know we need to be prepared as Christians as pro-lifers and then announcement for us to get involved. What can we do how can we get involved in the pro-life movement know where your local pregnancy center is go take a tour of your pregnancy center. How can you get involved. How can you donate what supplies did they need. Can you be a monthly donor you where's your local abortion clinic. Can you go pray your abortion clinic right now. It's once a month. It's weird, awkward, do it anyway. That's right but doesn't call us to do things that are comfortable right God calls us to do things that are very uncomfortable, so go do it. It makes a huge difference. I can tell you affirmatively, I would not be here today sitting with you here today at NRB today if it had not been for people to make money now that well run out of time, but I got about drug shipment right there they were. They were praying like from your own mouth. What annoying. However however it was very effective. I realized that once I knew I gotta get outta here. I realize how perseverance they were because they had been there for eight years and they had not come and gone. They had never given up and no matter how rude I what I was, not the friendly abortion clinic director. I can assure you that no matter how many times I'd yelled at them or you know cursed at them or whatever they continue to shop in love and they continue to reach out and I realize now just how thankful I am for their perseverance have to be perseverance because there is an urgency to life, literal wife is on the order way to start with a vacuum raisin.
