And God wants us to open our minds and our hearts to him. Like children, but to do that again we have to humble ourselves and that isn't always easy to do is talk about what that looks like. I'm not talking about praying about, thinking about something else here right yes you might sum it up with the phrase little visits I was just thinking about that this morning, Frank. Here's what I mean.

We need to see ourselves as little children when we come to Jesus when we talk to the father knew you talked about that about crawling up the father's lap and I like that perspective because I'm a grandfather and I love it when my little grandson comes over and I cherish those moments with him and of course God cherishes armaments with him more than we can comprehend. So when we go to God in prayer. It's like a little visit with Abba father.

Where we get if we start with that kind of childlike dependence help so much. It also helps when we understand that God wants us to pray all the time because prayer is all about relationships of even the smallest things in our lives can be brought before him. This is simply abiding in his presence as Jesus talked about will find that kind of printing really makes a difference. You know when my wife lost her car keys. The other day and we looked all around the house after we had done on looking. You know it it's just loving God and praising him for the simplest things simple phrases beautiful simple thanks lift your heart just just like a child says I love you so freely that's what God wants of us so we really want to be stuck on stupid when we pray, no matter how you spell it.

Actually, you know you really could say that it helps to stay dependent and helpless love and praise God helps keep us from overt sin because he's always the way out when were tempted anywhere talking to him in the moment all man that helps helps us rest because were not try to control everything work were learning to trust. I recall something I read recently from Ben Patterson about frame with her son when he was small's son had lost his favorite stuffed animal and you know, of course, it was the one he slept with, no matter where they look couldn't find it so you can imagine what that time was like that was pretty traumatic Patterson. This is in the moment it needs feeling for assignment pray something like this in front of them. There was a great celebration and you know just in the simple small way he was able to point to God loves you so much he cares about little things as success by loving his child. He ended up praying like exactly and that's a good place for us to be. That's what the father Abba father. You know, childlike expression. That's where he wants us to be… Wrap up with this being simple when it comes to prayer doesn't mean you give up thinking when you pray, actually it means that you honor God by opening your mind to him much more when we open our minds to him by saying, Lord, your ways are so far beyond mine. You have access into the situation that I could never think of to ask you know it. This is another way of loving him with all her heart, mind and soul and strength. So let's pray that we can do this more and more. Thank you that we get to do this, to come to you like little children.
