The world has long been trying to figure out how to do you how to deal with Shay and some psychiatrist or psychologist is a will is just something human invented in my question would be why it's not as that's the conviction of the Holy Spirit that draws us to the Lord will cross the bridge with David as the senior pastor of the bridge from your life. As we continue to live by the Spirit. We have to conviction draws us to walk on the nation how we tell the difference find out today as Pastor David continues in the book of Romans chapter, but before we get into today's teaching.

The devil is able to implement so many Christians today because they simply don't know the Bible about God's word. That's why we want to send you pastor David the message Romans for more recorded in the heart of ancient this eye opening. Teaching will show beyond a doubt, the historical accuracy of the Bible Romans from Romans, our way of saying thank this station and crossed the bridge from death to life to go across the bridge.com to request a copy. Again that's crossed the bridge. Now here's David is teaching you can rise above it all.

So Romans chapter 8 is often trapped.

It is an awesome trap. This is one of my favorite chapters in Obama and not just myself but is overinclusive commentaries and whatnot many commentators J.

Vernon McGee, different folks are like, man, this is this chapter is the bomb will day.

Vernon and say that but you know it's it's it's a credible Or not they want from Israel over the next few weeks as we go through this chapter, if you will read this chapter once a week and some of you really gung ho and read it once a day for the next month or once a week, minimum commitment it if you do that your life and change the word of God will not return void.

It will accomplish that which was set forth to do this whole chapter is about the freedom of the believer. I mean it's an incredible chapter it opens up with no condemnation closes with no separation and in the middle.

It talks about how everything's going to work together for good for those of love God printed it.

I'm telling you this chapter. I did this I read it every day for a month.

It changed my Christian life. So I encourage you to do the same because this is like a declaration of freedom the Declaration of Independence upon the Holy Spirit for Christian women, so it's incredible. That's incredible so there's the intro Romans chapter 8 verse one there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flash, but according to the spirit. See the last chapter. Notice it says there is, therefore, whenever there is, therefore, in the Bible is about what you're supposed to ask what it's there for, and is therefore what therefore he's building a case once it built on chapter 7 chapter 7 is just you and Hayden stop in the middle of chapter 7 as we went through because Paul's and just this miserable state is getting beat up by his old nature and you know we go through fevers and we need to close the goalie Paul like that but the chapter closes and he says I think I that can be delivered from this body of death through Jesus Christ and he says because of that you can be free that you cannot be free of condemnation apart from Christ, you can't live the world has long been trying to figure out how to deal with guilt how to deal with shame. Some psychiatrist or psychologist is a will. Guilt is just something human invented in my question will be why, why would we come up with something like a mean just to ruin a good time or something that's not.

That's the conviction of the Holy Spirit that draws us to the Lord and in the says in Christ and Christ, not apart from Christ. There's no condemnation in Christ. It is only in Christ can be free in Christ is an interesting play on words when you go back to know when they're talking about in the verse reads in the English it says cover the ark pitch. What's interesting is the word however there the Hebrew word Kfar where we actually get a word for cover is more like Tony and atonement can interesting replace of tiny market, so it's seal its conference. Well Noah and his family went through the flood in the ark they were going to the flood going to make it.

They were safe in the boat they were hanging on the outside going on. They were in my heart I giving a prescription when I was inimical and say you know I was the youngest of three brothers. I was heartened to my brothers but I tell her story when I was a little kid. We were at my parents were playing golf. They decided to take us. I don't know why we were in a house like 567 some like that and and so my little brother. He said he said there's little borrow mounts on the golf cart. He said hold on to that what ever you do don't let go because if you let go. You could get really really hurt. Okay I will let go. I will hold onto it so then he gets in the driver seat and punches the gas anything outside of the can't keep up with the golf cart so mom and dad on the and their watch and hold on for dear life brother to go. That is not the Christian life that some people think the Christian life is like. Jesus has a hold of you.

You're not on the outside of the golf cart getting beat inside you in the ark here in the golf cart you're in Christ because of no condemnation.

No condemnation. Some of you walked in here today condemned your your letting the past beat you up need to let go of you need to let go of some of his long suffer from the consequences of things we've done that we can be forgiven of all there's I went through the side there was some things I did that. I just felt so bad about for so long and every time I would go to pray and ask the Lord again to forgive me of of these events remember so clearly when there is a praying once again heard that still small voice of the Lord, he said, is it not enough what you mean is not enough for the citizens not enough that I hung on the cross and I bled and died for you to forgive you of these things are you saying that my blood was not enough to cover the search and cover other things, but it won't cover these events got I'm so sorry. I know now that you forgiven me of these things and I'll let go of see God takes our sins and he throws them into the sea of forgetfulness and puts up assignments is no fishing to let go of the past while because the friend will condemn you what happens when you get condemn from the past. You become bound up in your gonna repeat the past. What is going well, I messed up ever and ever going to pray get up to pray more, go on the get up early. I will pray for like 30 minutes or whatever you know and then you hit the snooze alarm a couple times in life matters.

Only 15 minutes with an understanding of right now.

What happened condemnation beat you down. That's what happens to a lot of believers. Paul here is San. It doesn't have to happen to you. What happens is eight now there's a difference between conviction and condemnation. This verse is not telling you that if you do something bad. You don't have to feel wrong about that's not what it's saying, that would be an abuse of this verse. What is same as when you mess up, you come to the Lord, you can be forgiven. Now there's two things, conviction, condemnation, conviction draws us to God. Condemnation drives us from God. Conviction draws us to God. Condemnation drives us from God. So in other words, when you do something wrong. There's two rows the taking. So you know I messed up I need to ask God to forgive, and you do and part of you. Can't wait to go worship or be come here on a Thursday night or Sunday morning.

That's conviction that's that's a great also think condemnations like all you know I messed up I can go to church.

I can't pray I cannot read my Bible. I messed now the enemy wants you condemn because it will fresh you spiritually, the Lord, the Holy Spirit.

Once you convicted so that you come to, and we get to decide friend whether were convicted or condemn it. We run from God and don't ask him to forgive us that weight of our sins and the wrongdoing will simply crush must remember John 318 says this, he who believes in him is not condemn, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he is not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God's people say sometimes will God's condemning everybody know that not actually everybody's already condemn God's will to forgive people and set them free and were reminded here that Jesus didn't come to condemn, it came to forgive again if we don't respond to conviction that condemnation will come in through your sin will do one of the other will either convict you or to continue convict to draw you to God condemn you and push away from God. How do you tell which one happens friend.

It's all up to you. You make the decision when you come to God. I've been through it I do something wrong it's weighing on me that I come the Lord, Lord, I'm so sorry. Jenna said that her sugar felt that her thought unit would just lift and sometimes strangely enough I walk around with stirred in me and I used to think this is really twisted but I used to think that after you messed up you had to walk around with it for a while and feel bad enough for long enough before you could ask God to forgive. I thought that was very spiritual know I'm going to feel really really bad, you know, to I can walk under the car without stooping down I want to feel really low enough to really low than Alaska unit found as time went on I wasn't more likely to ask God to forgive.

I was less likely to matter fact there's been times in my life when I let those things drive me away from the Lord and I've learned to ask God to forgive me quickly and often quickly and often you think back on the guard. No friend of you ever thought of this but Adam hi and run when God came in the garden. I'm worried that he was over there.

They leave the whole group wanted me to say got I'm blue and I am so sorry you told me not to do that and I did it and I'm sorry but instead what he did. God it was that woman you gave me.

We talked about this works.

There was only three people God Adam and Eve and Adam blamed the rather than repent, see what you're blaming other people. You can't really ask for forgiveness for some time just ask God to forgive. While you do it today is the same decision really is in front of each and everyone else today to say God I'm I'm sorry. Please forgive me, or you can run in hot and blame others. That's a decision is a great academic discussion to say why did Adam do this but make a little more personal.

Why do we do what we do and why will Islam in here decide to run today when I got of mercy, God embraces speaking to us doing his work as a net you come to me and asked me for forgiveness and you will have no condemnation.

I don't know about you but no condemnation some pretty awesome pretty awesome. You can be redeemed. You're anxious about your future career sure about done something in the present, God will forgive you if sure is a step toward the last part of this chapter is not going to be separated from getting easier.

If you convicted there I say, some people probably haunted by the past. Today run to the cross from some of your are carrying burdens that you were never meant to carry around and it's crushing and you can have that lifted off of you.

You have to be trapped. You can come to Jesus and Jesus went like he did with the forgiven woman in John chapter 8. Some people refer to as the adulterous woman, which I think is just a sad comment on Christianity sometime in the Bible chapter 8.is likely adulterous woman.

How sad is that that's what she was before she met Jesus.

When she came to Jesus. She was the forgiven woman and Jesus said, go and sin no more think Jesus looked down. I think he said you know you don't have to be trapped by this you don't have to live the lifestyle that you've been limits.

I want to forgive you and set you free from your past and I mean there was encouragement not to be trapped not to do those same thing but he was saying your set free from all gang we can be set free today.

So go to cross the bridge.com to request your copy today. Again, that's cross the bridge.com. Now back to today's teaching verse two for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Jesus wants to rescue us from the law.

Jesus wants to rescue us, set us free from our sin, see sin doesn't in this chapter Tyler sin doesn't dictate to a believer what he does.

It should so we have this thing we been talking about it yield to God, yield to yourself when you're young to your sent. You're not the only God when you're young to God you're not yielding to yourself and we have that decision, set us free from all and we been made free by sin waits at the door here again you if you let you can give end of the flasher of the selfish desires is doesn't just set us free to meet the minimum requirements sometimes people will can you be a Christian and feeling your point. Can you be a Christian and drink can you be a Christian and smoke can you be a Christian and runaround can you be a Christian and smoke can you be a Christian. Fill in your blood. Theologically, the answer would be yes and before some of your oil, churchmen. This is let me clarify yes you can do there thing, but why would you just like picking up chain me and set free from prison and I just cannot miss the bars. I just want to go sit back in the cell and I just love the way that door goes and makes no sense that when people say what kind a Christian and that makes spirit of life, spirit of life see wheat we can live.

We can live above the law is not above the law and that were free to break it. I mean we can exceed the requirements of the law through the Holy Spirit and Jesus.

He raised the bar. He raised what you know we we go into the New Testament with the 10 Commandments and then Jesus says yeah well that's, the minimum standard on the raise the bar they went and is okay, you shouldn't kill Jesus. Not only should you not kill.

You shouldn't get angry at anybody he said was that it says you should not commit adultery things and even less that while we think of the 10 Commandments is oppressive.

It's interesting the way the world looks at the 10 Commandments and is this like there's 10 Commandments are distinctly religious deal with God.

God first. Remember the Sabbath. No other God for me and the last six or just how we should treat each other and it's kind of a mystery to me that somebody would have a problem with the last six yelling basically got to look. Would you mind just not killing each other. Would you mind not stealing each other's would you mind not line each other all the time and taking people's lives in all other things and we look at goal. can you imagine friend is through the power of the Holy Spirit. We kept the 10 Commandments.

What this world would look like if kids really honored their mother and father course we all just if you got kids you just thought of your kids I'm talking about your parents. Okay son getting convicted for somebody else and what this will look like. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can rise above the spirit of life. He says too many people think Christianity is all about what happens when you die. Yeah, that's obviously part of, but is also how you live and you can live a victorious life you can have this spirit of-Christ Jesus, walking in the spirit to sleep.

Does this do away with the law, it rises above the law.

Here's a like the law of gravity. It it it's there. I mean, if there be doubt. It just, you know, jump off the top of this building, and whether you believe in the law of gravity or not doesn't matter what, but an airplane because of the law of aerodynamic can rise above the law of gravity. That's all we can do when we read the Bible with you all.

I don't know if I can do that you can. The Wright brothers. There was part of them all in a single word or a job with her and said no and I think it will, and it did. And it does and we can as above the minimum requirements of you will. That's a life lesson. You can about the requirements of the law is the power of the Holy Spirit. You can rise above the requirements of the law through the power of the Holy Spirit. If you been with us a few weeks ago when we were going through seven chapter 7. You say we couldn't do this. That's right, you can't God help us Holy Spirit can. It's interesting to me. The first seven chapters of Romans mention the spirit four times the Holy Spirit mentioned 21 times in this chapter, God is trying to give us the key is trying to show us what we need and and how we needed too many think were going to be made happy by what's outside of that's going to happen to we set these things up.

Will this happens, I'll be happy if that happens, I'll be happy it done it before.

If I find success in music. I'll be happy if I get this I'll be happy to finally single. While this is this year's what I thought it be friend of your 11 like that all you can be set free from that happiness doesn't depend on what happened depends upon the Lord, you know Jesus as your Savior. You can have joy. You don't have to say while be happy if I'll be happy with you and be happy this morning. If you don't know Jesus. Guess what you can be happy this morning as I was given a chance before you finish your Jesus and a beer chasing it all now know that I know are and happen using all my good God loves you so much is because they all will. This is what I'm going to tease you like that little carrot stick think and and happiness depends on you getting a raise and you get the house and you get all your clothes on and didn't learn how to swim.

My cousin got a swim to me. You know when I put my head down starts with that lookup maybe farther away any Thought I would notice a yes I had a tragic childhood. God is not like that to each and every one of us today right here.

Here's joy.

Here's happiness. Here's forgiven. Her solution is not running away from you thinking here it is. Friend, you know for sure that your sins have been forgiven.

You can know right now only Jenna short, simple prayer simply telling God you're sorry and asking him to help you to live for him. God wants you to pray this prayer so much that he died to give you the opportunity and the ability to ask him to forgive you.

Please pray this prayer with me out loud right now. Dear Jesus, I believe you died for me that I could be forgiven and I believe you were raised from the dead that I could have a new life not done wrong things I have sent and I'm sorry. Please forgive me of all those things.

Please give me the power to live for you. All of my days in Jesus name, amen it friend if you prayed that prayer according to the Bible you've been forgiven you've been born again. Jesus said he would not turn anybody away who comes to him and he came for those people who knew they needed forgiveness. Those who were sick, not the righteous. So congratulations for you just made the greatest decision that you will ever make. God bless you, if you prayed that prayer with David for the first time we'd love to hear from you.
