PNG radio for today's culture and timeless truths come together it's reasoned relevant content apologetics worldview and answers to the questions that you need to know from Alex McFarlane ministries. This is true for a new generation radio and now the man who preached in 50 states and 50 days speaker, writer, and advocate for Christian apologetics Dr. Alex McFarlane is the world headed to Armageddon. Are we near the end of time.

We in the last days hi Alex McFarlane to welcome the truth for a new generation radio that you can turn your Bible to Colossians chapter 2.

Today I want to talk with you about six things that may lead the world to Armageddon and I want to begin with the Scripture, and what will look at six realities six trends that are definitely damaging to America and the world right now. Six things that have been at play for several decades that may ultimately lead to the end of the world. Although I don't think were quite there yet but six trends to watch out for. They are at minimum clearing the pathway heading towards the end of history. But in Colossians 28 through 10 the word of God says see to it that no one takes you captive or ensnares you through vain and hollow deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition. Some translations say the rudiments of the world rather than on Christ Jesus and his truth.

Why, because in Christ Jesus dwells all the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form. Colossians 210 and you are complete in Christ. Listen if you are complete in Christ. Conversely, your incomplete outside of Christ and your worldview is definitely incomplete if your believing these philosophies and not the word of God. The truth of God's word in her several years that it was a great book by Dave Rees BRE ESE seven man who ruled the world from the grave. It was great book. It came out in 1992, so a long time ago but still very relevant today, and Bruce's premise and the book was basically that there are number of people like Charles Darwin: Sigmund Freud, that even though there dad their ideas, their philosophies are so influential. It could almost be said that there ruling the world from the grave now ideas really do have consequences. RC Sproul wrote a book a number of years ago and I've used it in my worldview classes when I've taught for a number of universities.

Ideas have consequences that philosophies and suppositions have it important and sometimes very detrimental repercussions now in breezes book about them in the real world from the grave. He talks about Charles Darwin, Marx Julie as well house in Roselle Houston. Actually, John Dewey, Sigmund Freud, John Maynard Keynes and Kierkegaard now they believe things that influence the world. That's what Colossians 2 says you know don't just blindly passively believe things don't just be uncritically compliant. I believe in being a law-abiding citizen, but there are times that we have to critically evaluate things and stand against things we need to speak up we need to cast votes. Sometimes we need to engage in civil disobedience and we are not to blindly go through life and just with unqualified acceptance take everything in. We are to beware of false prophets were to beware of false teachings. The these men very influential in the.

The six realities that I want to point out in just a moment in one way or another. All of these things are tied to some of these long dead influential people like Charles Darwin Darwin denied that God was the creator and there is no objective reason for creation. According to Darwin, no transcendent purpose for your life or my life. So, according to the Darwinian evolutionary worldview. If there is any sort of a Savior. It's man himself.

The only Messiah that humanity should look to this is really man in a Darwinistic evolutionary world about, works well, actually there's no good in capitalism and in the Savior is communism and my goodness were hearing that from Democrat leaders today from Alexandra Acacia Cortez to Nancy Pelosi. Certainly, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden that a free market economy where people are responsible to work a job and pay their bills know that's no good. According to Karl Marx, the Savior, and what are all people need a really communism now want a name with which you may not be familiar as Julius Val Howson. He did not believe in the word of God, and he had a theory about the Bible. What we call the Bible is really the writings of man, not the word of God and their existence. There is no written revelation from God. Therefore, what is truth is world centered philosophy and oh my goodness, unless you go to an overtly Christian school like Liberty University or Patrick Henry College or Karis Bible college or Houston Baptist great Grove city, and there are number of good Christian schools out there, but unless you go to an overtly Christian University like Karis, you will be talked about the Bible, the false ideas of Val Howson, John Dewey, I believe there is no propositional truth and so the educational system that Dewey advocated for is precisely where our public school system is right now that there is no propositional truth is in the discussion and and only feelings about Sigmund Freud. He didn't believe in body cells. He believed in.

Ego and superego, and were not made in the image of God, but you've got these inner levels of ego that are driven purely by base brute animalistic sexual instinct. Because Freud was an evolutionist and were not made in the image of God that our Savior is ongoing therapy. What about John Maynard Keynes, there's no stable economy apart from the government so we don't look to God to be a provider. We look to the government and the way to get there fund government spend money go into debt just put ink on paper print money. It doesn't matter now I think about EE and think about the old saying you think goodness we don't get near as much government as we pay for because we certainly do pay dearly, partly because of this Keynesian view of economy, and finally Soren Kierkegaard. He was a philosopher, may be a Christian.

He called himself a Christian but he definitely was on some shaky ground because he trusted subjective feelings so much. According to Kierkegaard there are no objective facts in which to trust, but only feelings we gotta pull away and I want to talk about the philosophies that are operative in the world today that really come from the minds of these these men and six trends that are damaging in the present and might be actually apocalyptic in the future, so will deliver the six things when we come back on truth for new generation radio you know Alex is been writing for many years, and one of his classic books is still great. Today is a basic introduction to the Christian faith.

It's called Stan corkscrews must know for unshakable faith.

They are one inspiration of the Bible to the virgin birth. Three.

The deity of Christ for atonement. Five.

You know Alex mixes it up with humor and stories gleaned from decades of working with youth and encourages things to build a foundation of faith that will stabilize their lives and help them take a stand for Christ. Simple and straightforward stand for truth. You must know for an unshakable faith available wherever Christian books are so if you're a Christian.

You'll find it@afastore.net that AFA store.net timeless truths in a soundbite culture for a new generation radio. Modern theologians said, quote, we all have different ideas about truth. Sometimes what you believe to be truth can be hurtful to someone else and may offend their sensibilities.

We need to allow for others to determine what is true for them." Well with that false statement. We welcome you back to truth for new generation radio Alex McFarland you're so glad you're listening were talking about six things that are leading the world to Armageddon.

And you know that idea about truth that if you believe something is factually objectively true, but it hurts someone else's feelings we have to subordinate objective truth to the subjective feelings of others and everyone ultimately must be assumed to create their own truth for themselves and that's simply faults that might be well-intentioned but it's horribly misguided because we can't create truth for ourselves, we can discover truth, but we can't determine truth and so let's talk about these philosophies that are operative in the world today and I think you'll instantly see what I'm talking about what we today are the victims of number one bad science. For one thing, there's this assumption that everything is evolved from the primordial soup and that there's no objective purpose for creation evolution has so skewed hundred and 50 years of world education today is more bad science influencing the world today, influencing policies, influencing how you live belief that climate changes are induced by humans.

This is unproven.

It's not true science but there is the belief and it was global warming and I remember when I was at UNCG 30 years ago and I was told by different professors that within 2025 years.

The last humans would be dying from global warming. Unless we give much more power. The government and yet now we are experiencing record colds and out, there are fluctuations in the climate but it's not caused by human activity. It's much bigger world than many of the alarmists give it credit for.

And you know what were often told that Christians and conservatives are anti-science. There's just this myth that those who stand up against conclusions of the left are antiscience him to come back to that idea.

Over the last hundred years, 65% of the Nobel laureates were Christians is not something were talking about physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, economics, politics certainly Christians have let out in peace processes and I think about people like out well for one thing, Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, all Nobel winners in the areas of peace that were Christians but bad science is influencing policy and in this covert thing right now, my goodness.

If the judicial congressional and executive branches were all populated by Democrats.

My goodness, nobody would have any more freedom left because under the auspices of a legend science quote" the answer is to take away freedom and subordinate your constitutional liberties to what they believe is their prescription for saving the world number two's bad philosophy. I one of the bad philosophies I just gave you the names of some of the bad philosophers, but the idea the truth is subjective. The idea that truth must be politicized. The idea that objectivity is impossible by if it was a 2+2 is four. If I say that Canada and America are on the North American continent's. If I say that gravity will cause you to hit the earth. If you jump off of a building. These are not opinions.

This is objective truth, but we live in a world where truth is denied and students in classrooms are repeatedly told and pundits on the news are repeatedly told that there is no truth.

There's only motive I made. I just read an article yesterday about 100 Hollywood celebrities 100 famous people that castigated Brett Cavanaugh unfit for the Supreme Court, why because there was an accusation that many decades ago.

He was guilty of sexual harassment. The same 100 celebrities when Joe Biden accused with much more credible evidence.

He said no it didn't happen while that's enough what we've got bad philosophy that merely because someone believes in morals. The Constitution God.

They necessarily are unfit to be a public figure that were were a victim nowadays of bad sociology water.

What am I saying that there are the assumptions that marriage is unimportant.

The family is merely a sociological accident not significant enough. Kids don't need both a dad and a mother and and we know that the state of the family is directly tied to the outcomes of things like education and and maturity and stability. Marriage is important, a husband and a wife, a father and mother hugely immeasurably significant in the development of a child we live under a sociological view called egalitarianism that all things are equal, and necessarily must be equal, and we don't say an actress and an act of war.

Now just the generic term actor. We don't say Mrs. or Mr. we don't say here she and heaven forbid we say heterosexual monogamy and everything. There's got to be in the eyes of the lost world. There has to be this enforced sameness even economic egalitarianism. Where were told that masculinity is toxic when young men do things that are physical and strenuous and masculine. That's toxic masculinity and kids are told in college and I know because I've interviewed hundreds of college students from a book stand strong in college. What you'll hear your freshman year that that all sex is a form of rape even consensual marital intimacy I were told so many things that are detrimental and really all of these things mitigate against God's design for men and women God's design for marriage God's design for family. God's design for husband-wife relationships, bad science, bad philosophy bad sociology that when we come back were going to talk about three more bad things that we might not be facing the apocalypse today, but they're definitely leading the world incrementally toward that time of Christ return. And when we come back with an attack about three more bad things that are offset by God's truth. Stay tuned to file generation radios back after this. Christians don't necessarily agree with one another when it comes to questions of religious pluralism, homosexuality, the role of government abortion and war. Too often, we manage these disagreements by ignoring them network called to engage the world for the sake of Christ. How can we be effective if we avoid society's most pressing questions 10 issues that divide Christians Alex McFarlane challenges us to drill down to the biblical core of 10 current issues such as social justice evil and suffering, photography, and environmentalism as he echoes the biblical invitation, this reason together only by engaging the Scriptures deeply thinking clearly and speaking truthfully can we, in God's family address our differences and discover the peace that comes with unity of purpose. 10 issues that divide Christians buying this book and many others@alexmcfarlane.com America today is like a patient struggling to live yet is being forcibly euthanized by her quote. Drs., the life force within the patient fighting for survival is the honest citizens like yourself team of quote caregivers are the local and national leaders actually contributing to the demise of patient economy is crashing crime is exploding.

I thank you for reading the book, I encourage you that the audiobook is out there on Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble can get the book or@afastore.net six realities that may be leading the world to Armageddon. And you know I do. No man knows the day or the hour but I do think we are near the time of Christ's return.

We need to be ready. We need faithful.

We need to be fruitful. I was talking about how right now, our government, our society is suffering because of bad science, bad philosophy bad sociology being very dismissive of male and female traditional gender roles, and then you know dismissal of the importance of the home, but number four bad economics. Okay socialism, a welfare state government bailouts that are ballooning the debt into the, the trillions and legislation packed with pork. The Democrats set forth just a multi-multi trillion dollar addition to the deficit.

That includes all sorts of socialistic programs and and they want all restaurants to be open, funded by the government.

There was a bill set forth with no renters would pay rent for a decade. This is insanity. Now that we are a victim, a horrible victim going deeper in the hole with every passing moment because of bad economics and it's ungodly and it must stop. There must be some principal leaders that understand that we hot we can't spend what we don't have and then finally bad politics now. Our founders bled and risked their lives. Many died to give us a representative constitutional Judeo-Christian Republic. We talk about that a lot on the show but we the people as as Lincoln said in the Gettysburg address government of the people by the people for the people, but the bad politics of 2020, are an oligarchy, not a representative, not the Vox popularized but a small group of officials that dictate to the people. What must be not capitalism, but socialism not objective morality, but relativism and we see corruption in the government and rather than leadership. We see opportunism, bad politics, and then finally all of this really the result of what I would call bad religion, secularism, humanism, universalism, liberal Protestantism, so, so, what's the conclusion of this look were watching the world that has false views about man morals and God.

Why does this matter. What it really matters as as conservatives are often accused of being anti-science Christians that we reject evolution. We believe in creation. Where were told that were antiscience.

Was this in May 2020, the Washington Post, Jennifer Rubin warned of quote the unscientific anti-scientific impulse political theater now in vogue with many Republicans.

In other words, if you don't believe in abortion. If you don't believe in gay marriage. If you don't believe in transgender is if you don't believe in global warming your anti-science, they would say April 2020 New York Times wrote in an editorial quote to listen the denial of science and critical thinking among religious ultraconservatives now haunts the American response to the coronavirus crisis. So if you don't believe in a socialist ironfisted stated some your antiscience inner Joe Biden said the coronavirus pandemic was proof of global warming, but November 2019.

Harvard University professor Naomi arrestees told the Guardian.com that now listen, conservatives, denials of claims about evolution about global warming are quote a political strategy. Now, folks, this is an example of a fallacy we call reductionism to say well your position is nothing but this or that. Now this Harvard professor said, quote it is deeply problematic if the leadership of the US government is rejecting science because it sends a signal to the American people and business leaders that it is fine to reject science lesson nobody rejects truth and we were not rejecting truth, but we are rejecting a legend pseudoscience that is used as a political leverage to push God out of our mind and to further control and enslave the lives of people.

What we believe is so vitally important when NASA was working on the the Apollo projects and man was going to the moon. It was imperative that they get their math right on those rocket launches because at the moment of launch. If you're off, even by a fraction of a degree by the time your hundreds of miles out in space that the final trajectory could be way way off a small mistake at the start, could result in a huge error ultimately in NC. That's where we are. That's where we are and we have got to have the courage if you're a parent you need to teach your children if you're a citizen you need to vote if you're a young person you need to believe God's word and believe what is true, but we have to think critically and we have to be meticulous and very thorough in what we think and believe and I would say we need to be very prayerful that the spirit of God would rule and overrule. We need to pray that the spirit of God would restrain evil and we need to feed on Scripture because God is truth and Proverbs 1 verse seven says that the beginning of truth and wisdom is the fear the Lord some 2228 says the kingdom is the Lord's and he rules over the nations. We need to pray for Psalm 2228 that God would rule over our nation and so folks is the world headed to Armageddon. Yes, when will that be only God knows, but I will say this, the seeds of anarchy are planted in our culture.

Even now there beginning to sprout and we need to study the delight in the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Stanford should be hopeful.

Don't be despairing. Don't be discouraged. But be aware Christ is coming. We need to be ready. We need to help others be ready as well that God bless you. May God bless America.
